Jimmy Stewart was one of the greatest actors to ever live. He always played the moral everyman role to perfection, from the 30's all the way to his final role in 1991. And his voice is one of the most iconic ones in Hollywood history. The number of times people have replicated it can't be counted.

James Dean had a pormising career if it hasn't been a car accident that took his short life but he would the greatest legends than Paul Newman,Robert Redford,Marlon Brando,Burt Reynolds,Frank Sinatra,Warren Beatty,Elvis Persley,Burt Reynolds and Clint Eastwood he would out-shine them all.

Can agree with most of these but James Cagney has to be included. You should also consider John Wayne for the western genre.

Good list but Gregory Peck and Sidney Poitier should be in it. I'm very happy that Bogart tops it and that Jimmy Stewart and Cary Grant are in the top three.

Listen I love Marlon Brando, but there’s so many Hollywood actors that deserve to be on the list. I mean come on, Yh he’s got the name but ‘classic Hollywood’ I don’t see him as a ‘proper classic Hollywood actor’ if u no what I mean. He is but he isn’t. Someone help me out here, I can’t explain it lol. Or tell me to fuck off, I wouldn’t mind lol. But Brando is 1 of my fave actors lol so I’m not dissing him. He just doesn’t come to mind wen thinking classic actors, Chaplin on the other hand, Yh. Silent films or not, he’s a classic and legend x

RT is alongside Glenn Ford and Richard Widmark the most underrated classic Hollywood actor. He made a lot of classics and sleepers. Especially his westerns of the 50s are very unknown nowadays, like DEVIL'S DOORWAY, WESTWARD THE WOMEN and THE LAST HUNT (RT in a oscar-worthy role).
