- A quick look at the 16" Remo Buffalo Drum Bahia Black Earth edition. Here I show the sound of this drum and share some of my thoughts on it. I also compare it to the 22" Remo Buffalo drum and show how they both sound.

Oh wow no kidding, that’s odd. I wonder if they are just not in stock at the moment. I originally found mine on Amazon, and after looking just now it looks like they marked up the price a bit from when I bought mine. Either way I’m sure you’ll be happy with the 22”, it has no shortage of bass haha
I saw a comment that the design has changed in the back. used to be a spoke circle w/ spokes radiating out, now there is this thick rope and really uncomfortable. also reports of breaking, lower quality "skin". I dk anyone hear this ? Maybe see if you can find the older model.
Hmm thats interesting. This is my first experience with these drums and so far I have no serious complaints. I don’t find the rope to be too uncomfortable once you find a good way to grasp it. I would be surprised if the skin were to break since it feels quite thick and sturdy, but if there are any issues with it going forward I’ll make sure to document it. I would be interested to hear if the design has changed as well
