Acc to last yr closing ranks , I am getting IIT Roorkee MnC or Electrical, IIT Guwahati ECE , IIT Patna and few others 2nd gen IIT CS/ AI. I have seen that the policy of branch change is comparatively more liberal in ROORKEE. If I choose Roorkee what should I prefer ? I had also given ISI exam . I am getting ISI Kolkata for statistics & data science (a new course) launched this year. My family want me to get IITian tag so they don't prefer ISI. I know I have written a long comment but please read it complete. Acc to you what should be the best option for me ?

It is case for all the colleges in India. If you talk about iits or nits if an it is showing 23 average package in an IIT and it is showing 23 average package in nit, Definitely both will have some packages on the higher side that shoots up the number

Depends on you. If you want to learn core electrical and get paste in electronics company then IIT Roorkee is better If you want to explore more and learn tech also then I would prefer IIT Bombay or Delhi
Bruh , I got 7.5K in JEE A and 14.5K in JEE M and I'm from delhi so I've chances of getting into DTU,NSUT & IIITD and into some of the IITs so I wanna go to IITs but everyone around me forcing me to join the TIER-1 colleges in Delhi and leave the JEE A ,Also the reason I wanna join IIT is that I prepared a f**king hard to get this rank so I don't want to leave this opportunity, Any suggestions.

It is not that you will get less placement opportunities when you will choose IIT kanpur. Even you can get placed in the quant companies, but you have to develop skills that quant companies demand. You will get your peer group who will be studying for quant companies. So don't worry, you can go for IIT Kanpur
If you want to go to core computer science then you should choose CSE If you want to go to IIT then better choose IIT Bombay environmental over IIT indore Mechanical

See if you can manage tech and coding along with your branch (as most of the people do, and you won't be alone) then go for IIT IF you don't want to study anything except CSE choose NITs But don't forget the brand value and the connections and the alumni network that you get in iits (KGP>guwahati)
If you want to go to core CSE then you should choose jodhpur over Madras. But if you want to explore a lot of opportunities then you should come to Madras or to Bombay because these colleges are very old and have a lot of opportunities
If you want to go to court CSE then choose But if you want a good college with a good placement then production and industrial engineering can be a better option then any lower branch of tier 1 nit

If you are targeting same nit then then you should focus on the academics of the college because if the college allows brand change then you can excel in your academics and go to the circular branches

At IIT you can do projects related to electronics No doubt in it But it will very hard ti study electronics that industries demand So better goto nit Have faith in your guts

Placements wise IIT BHU is great. Second best in India but infrastructure wise old.
It is not that you will get less placement opportunities when you will choose IIT kanpur. Even you can get placed in the quant companies, but you have to develop skills that quant companies demand. You will get your peer group who will be studying for quant companies. So don't worry, you can go for IIT Kanpur

Mnit allahabad is an excellent college and you are also getting circuital Branch there
Go for ECE branch
But if you want an IITN tag and all the perks that I told in the video then you should join IIT BHU there you have to work a little harder to get a placement in crores
And there will be people like you who will be targeting softwares and quant companies. So you can also choose IIT BHU
