I like how you did the whole process of removing the clad, I will be doing this to my 2010 Silverado wheels. Little different look underneath the clad but yet better than the clad.
Did this with some Acadia 20s and it took way longer... Less foam thickness. I started watching and then shipped ahead and saw the face missing and had to go way back to see how easy it came off. I polished the first one and painted the rest black.
Great video! I have the same rims they have been sandblasted I plan on powder-coating them soon. How did you get your center caps to fit afterwards? I can't find any that will fit.
1st of all you did a wonderful job. I had a question concerning 20" rims on a 2001 GMC. Will they fit or do I need to lift the truck. I don't want to live1st of all you did a wonderful job. I had a question concerning 20" rims on a 2001 GMC. Will they fit or do I need to lift the truck. I I wouldn't mind a lift , someone told me to cut the fender. The reason I don't want to lift is because I'm on a budget. I guess I'm concerned about the tires rubbing On the turn. Can you please advise me what to do thank you
you gotta be kidding me. GM put all that extra unsprung weight on while cucking all the engines with AFM/DOD to appease EPA. un-fucking-real. they're great looking wheels under all that bondo/foam too.
I know it's a pain from first hand experience but when they get polished they look dope.. I spent about a full week a few hours each day polishing mine and you can let your girlfriend do her makeup in the reflection now but I almost gave up after spending a day polishing them but I kept at it and boy did it pay off its alot like trying to bring the shine out of a old set of mags that have been in a barn for 20+ years lol, alot of elbow grease but when u finally get it done everyone wants to know where u got them, and when u say they are a stock wheel and explain what had to happen they try to just buy yours.. but a mother's power ball buffer head for a drill and I think it's called "white diamond" or something like that polish.. really makes them shine up good, that polish cleans oxidation off and then polishes and seals then so kinda like never dull but without the fibers.. just the cream.. really worked out for mine
Thanks for showing what the wheels look like after decladding them.
Wow a big difference they look better like that than the other style keep the good work brothaa...

I actually like the simpler wheel underneath!

I wish there was a way to do this on my Taurus Limited...little did I know that "chrome clad" meant chrome PLASTIC...
What year again like them rims and what you did
Wow, why didn't they just make actual chrome wheels? Such a shame that they went so cheap with that foam.

another good video
Wut was the tire size 225/40/20?
Cool, but a little bit of editing would’ve had the same affect. Made a video about a third of the length. No heat, just constructive criticism.
Nice lowered ride
Put the centers in
Nice vid any updates on polish
Not yet I live in ohio and the weather sucks I plan on having them powder coated.
What size tires are you running?
0:53 dude you didn't even watched a minute of the video lmao
I skipped around the first time I watched it

How to install cladding?

You polish them or paint?
I'm going to have them powdercoated
