I was a prison guard for a time. And I was on the execution team once. This song does a pretty good job of depicting what it’s like. Cool song.

After the guy that killed my brotha me n my brotha was close n I new the guy was gone be sent to prison I said the inmates can beat the crap out of him foe me

So happy you're going this route, man is incredibly gifted. Sure he's country but the man has so much soul and blues to be put in a box. This man speaks music, emotion and can't be held back. Genius!

Chris Stapleton is a musical genius. His voice is out of this world & his songwriting abilities are top-notch. I have so much respect for those musicians who are singers and songwriters. My top two singer-songwriters are Jason Wade of Lifehouse and Paul Simon. Chris is most definitely inching up as a tie with my two favorites in the industry. His talent is so vast and so huge! Major props.

When I think about it as a free man I feel nothing but despair and loss but I would think as a caged man it could be freeing.
