At the age of 36 I've just started getting into running. I'm not doing the flat stuff. Too long. I found running boring until I discovered hill running. Going from zero tho' has been pretty tough. First attempt I made it about 300m (horizontal) up a small hill and I was nearly sick. After a couple of months of building it up the other day I ran 3km with an elevation gain of 114m. Legs still feeling a bit sore but already can't wait to get out again to see if I can do a bit more next time. It's oddly addictive. Something Slieve Martin sized would be a great target to work up to. How this guy repeats day after day tho' is beyond me.
@@JudeTheCoolGuy I actually got one. I while back I got carried away and went for a run before getting over the last run and ended up with huge knots in my thighs. Roller hurt like like hell but I think it helped.
Down Right Brilliant..... Wow.... Very impressive progression 31 times.... yeah..!! Turning into 250 times... You must have love and a huge desire to accomplish that challenge.... and note to self.... love & desire will get you to the start line (If not adrenaline.... will get you over the start line & stubbornness & determination will get you over the finish line)... only injury will stop me... You have beautiful videography skills Stephen, you capture this country like no one else!
Thanks Took 🙂
Thank you Stephen for covering this amazing challenge.

Top tip Richard, get a foam roller. It's a torture device but it'll sort the legs and back out for the next climb. Keep rockin

This is fantastic, that man's a legend 👏👏👏
He is indeed!
What an awesome guy. He must know that trail like the back of his hand by now! Just runnign a couple of miles every day without fail is hard enough.
Yeah Dermot's a legend! Dunno how on earth he kept at it
Truly impressive!
Thanks!
Fair play
Some going!
This is amazing, I liked the pov when he started to fly. What cant this guy do? Great work to both of you.
Was really difficult keeping up with him when he started flying!
@@StephenJReid but you did a great job keeping up, I was impressed.
Wow
Great film maker deserves a lot more subscribers
Thanks!
This will go viral
You think so? Would be amazing but I’m not so sure. My videos about running rarely get more than a couple thousand views.
Brilliant mate. I need a nap just thinking about it
I’ve been napping ever since
@@StephenJReid haha
@@jamesoutandaboutn.i227 I was going to ask you to join me doing it 500 times
@@DavidDoyleOutdoors maybe have time just before work haha

that's an impressive feat, but will he stop at 250? Nice filming/editing Stephen, the fpv drone shots looked great.
Wouldn’t be surprised if he kept going! 😂 Only one FPV shot in there…
@@StephenJReid I guess some of the faster drone shots made me think they were fpv but all the drone shots looked great
@@DavidDoyleOutdoors I did some high speed risky manual orbits when he was running to the top. Chuffed you thought it was FPV!
@@StephenJReid damn, fooled me lol
Wow Beautiful place Sir
Thanks Jay
