Oh definitely, she was easily my favorite character in WCIII, especially because she was still true to her Ranger heritage, and not one of the weird mage/priest elves. And then breaking free of Arthas' grasp and forming her own faction of the undead to rebel against his and take revenge. Very very impressive lady.
@@SelfProclaimedEmperor I believe when I had the book decades ago that that picture appeared on some story section for Beyond the Dark Portal and there was a small blurb underneath that picture that said something about Alleria's service in the events of Tides of Darkness. While you're right it doesn't outright name that archer as Alleria, it's more likely than Sylvanas who wasn't mentioned at all until her debut in Warcraft 3.
This is THE human song in all of Warcraft. The Alliance competes poorly with the Horde for street cred and awesomeness, but in the rare moments they do well, this is it. The human excellence of the Azerothians, stomped by hordes of orcs or legions of demons, bouncing back and facing any stupendous foe, and triumphing.

Then the cataclysm came with the aptly named expansion and at that point all went by a slidedown... And then Pandaria?? A sorry intent to gain in the Asian market... No, my good fellow, let us put that glorious game to rest. May its final resting place be as unknown as the tomb of Lothar ;(
