Another reason my Mom was awesome: she had a GREAT eye for games, so we never got any licensed crap. My brother and I grew up with the early Nintendo consoles along with a PC. My Mom would get us console games, my Dad would handle PC. He was kind of a stick in the mud about games though and hardly got us any, Battlespire is the only one I specifically remember him getting and I gotta admit it was what convinced me to get Oblivion a few years later. Otherwise, any PC game we got was with our own money. Technically his since it was with our allowance, but still. Mom, on the other hand, got games and franchises that stuck with me through the years as true greats and favorites. Along with Mario, Zelda, Mega Man, Kirby, and Pokemon, she also got us The Magic of Scheherazade, Chrono Trigger, Illusion of Gaia, and Goldeneye. Blast Corps and Pilotwings were rentals, unfortunately, but she picked those out too. Later on when we got a Playstation, she hooked us up with Soul Reaver: Legacy of Kain and Chrono Cross (along with the Mega Man X games). She even knew about memory cards being a requirement for Mega Man 8, meanwhile I thought it was going to stick with the password system the previous 12 or so games had. Love ya, Mom! :D
Omg yes!! Tamashii~ Please keep this up. I can completely see your new style and I love it!!! It reminds me of like the first jontron videos. Not that you are like him but in your own way with your own sensibility you're trying something different and i can see the roots taking place. By this I mean your past list format, hiding behind the flat image to show your on screen materials is getting thrown away you seem so much more confident now! I can even hear it in your voice, the delivery feels more relaxed - you even said fuck! (censored) The little narrative moments like games going into the consoles always make it for me, and i like seeing your tackle overarching concepts like jontron kinda does lately with plug-in play or whatever yknow what im talkin bout. Anyway, I told you this before but please keep making videos like this! Games that interest you, I want to see more! I love seeing you growing more comfortable and expanding your work as an essayist. Don't make pokemon videos unless you actually want to, and fuck anyone who gives you shit for it - it's totally inevitable and your non-pokemon vids probably won't rake in views like pokemon can. But you can change that if you work toward it.
It's like complaining that Jontron and Brutalmoose aren't covering video games all that much anymore and have moved on to crappy movies and old tv respectfully.
haha i didn't know you do reviews like this! this is really entertaining lol. i seriously laughed at some of the crap you pointed out. kind of like AVGN but in your own style. your pokemon vids are awesome, but please do more stuff like this, especially if it's older games! you're very good at it.
Oh wow! Seeing that PS1 intro brought me back! I used to rent that game from Hollywood Video. I remember hating the Princess fight for the very reason you mentioned. She would never come down >=/ But damn...thanks for the nostalgia trip, Tamashii ^_____^ Keep up the good work!
Maybe I'm just not used to Tamashii being so funny, but this video was so different from older videos. I do enjoy this new style of humor and editing, but it's gonna take a few videos to get used to. Keep it up!
I've been waiting for someone to review this game for an eternity, and it's Tamashii no less? alright! also I assume the reason the girls can't fight each other is... well they are sisters after all. I know they certainly have differences with one another, but I don't think they've ever all out fought each other, for long at least. could be completely wrong though
Spongebob Battle For Bikini Bottom was a great spongebob game The Spongebob Movie Game was also great All spongebob games from Heavy Iron Studios were great
Tamashii I commend you on your intelligence, patience, and diligence. To go through mind numbing games all the way to completion with an insightful passionate and profoundly well thought out review with determination to make sure you do it correctly, even for games not worth remembering to make sure that people understand your points. You have renewed my faith that there is intelligence still out there and there are people who exercise it. Thank you for the great videos : )
Your videos always entertain me in ways of story, gaming logic, and reality of the past and present. Definitely do more! Maybe your next non-Pokemon video can cover more of Nickelodeon's older video games?
This is a time when parent's groups were glaring at action shows, and they could get away with violence when it's against "the forces of evil". Also it was around this time that the media was saying "video games are turning our children into killers". The less hot water CN could get into the better.
Yeah, the late 90's was pretty bad for that in the US. Here in Canada we did the dub for Sailor Moon where the first episode has a grown woman attempting to choke a teenage girl to death with semi-realistic voice acting.
Man, Tamashii's really upping her game here. If I had to nitpick, the abstract moving of the screens CAN get slightly obnoxious and sometimes weird, but they don't completely distract. XD And I did kinda chuckle at the insolstion with pillows on your hands visual gag. But for her... 3rd non-Pokemon related review, I think, this is getting good. o3o Keep it up!
great vid, Tamashii! I remember playing this on the ps1 many years ago. I had fun because in the spanish version, the enemies cuss at you. I remember princess saying "im gonna kick your ass". It was funny because i was young and naive and it was just so :o
I spent HOURS playing this game as a kid, mostly because I had no discernible taste. I was so surprised to learn in your video that the PlayStation version had the jail and utonium residency--I always wondered about those! The weirdest things I ever observed in my hours upon hours playing the N64 version were: 1) Once it randomly sparred my Bubbles/Blossom against Blossom/Bubbles (can't remember), which normally NEVER happens. When I won, my Powerpuff Girl was frowning..!? Alas I could never replicate it. 2) I saw Buttercup do her spin attack. Like your video said, the 2ndary specials weren't supposed to be available in the N64 version (there existence, period, is something I learned from your video). This was before I ever learned the "canon" existence of Butercup having a spin attack (the episodes hinting at it, other games having it), and I spent hours afterwards trying to replicate it, so I know it wasn't my overactive imagination nor a dream. Thanks for making this video Tamashi!
My first game was Super Mario Bros 3 on the NES, something I'm grateful for to this day. It's a shame the PPG games were so bad, they looked like they had some potential if more effort were put into them.
I think I've already mentioned this but I've really been enjoying the new format of your videos. Definitely another good one even if the game itself wasn't very good.
8:30 I remember my parents got me the Shrek fighting game for the GBC when I was little and for some reason Shrek and Fiona could never fight each other, which always seemed weird to me. Like why not? It’s a non-canon game.
I really like these types of videos. They remind me of RUclipsrs such as Projared and Brutalmoose because of how your going back to classics(or I should say retros :-) ) and seeing how they used to struggle at being a good game. Keep it up Tamashi ;-).
This is awesome! I did two powerpuff themed reviews on my channel and the gameboy advance title was the only one I genuinely enjoyed! didn't know the ps1 had cut scenes!
So from what I can gather, not only is this game a reskin of a Tom and Jerry game, it also seems to be a knockoff of Power Stone, being a 3D brawler where you can pick up and use items, and you have three slots for Chemical X which makes you more powerful just like the Power Stones. It can't be a coincidence either since this came out a full year after Power Stone 2 came out
big fan here I'm sure you know by now we get sad when you don't upload for 3weeks 😢😢😢😢😢 I'm sure this is part of your new upload tactics anyway loving the work keep it up
I actually remember playing this game. It was kinda creepy how Him just appears there in the middle of the stage select screen. Me and my brother were so confused like "Whoa...how did he get there?" Also I could've sworn that in this game you could sorta fly around Townsville. I guess that was a different game.
THIS IS MY CHILDHOOD. McFreakin loved this game when I was a kid ( I wasn't very hard to impress) It was the only PlayStation game that we owned that I liked lmao. I remember kicking my brothers ass in this game, but it was super hard for me to get past princess.
Lucian Pascale mobile.twitter.com/TamashiiHiroka/status/790961152696152064 Here's the deal on her upload schedule. Regardless, I'm totally with the quality over quantity statement.
Lol actually this Powerpuff girls game and that Tom and Jerry game were games I loved as I kid that I entirely forgot about.. it was one of my early games I was maybe 7 and 8 and for a kid that young it was amazing! You get to be your favorite character and feel like you can kick ass. I played the hell out of these games.
My mom played a lot of Qbert on PlayStation when I was young, and apparently she just had a knack for picking out games because on my fourth birthday, she bought me my first games and they were Crash Bash and Spyro the Dragon. So yeah, my mom was cool. Still is, really.
wow your perfect haha can't believe I never heard of you?!?! I am glad I never heard of this game though(: saw you on completionist figured I'd check ya out.
I remember playing the crap out of that Tom and Jerry skin of this game as a kid on the PS1 and I really don't remember any input lag. How about playing that as well?
Man, I remember playing War of The Whiskers a hell of a lot. I remember going to Blockbusters all the time and renting any game that seemed interesting... sadly I played a lot of trash, and broken mechanics/gameplay made me feel like I was bad at games. Glad I got through the Dark Times lol
I played the ps1 version of the game all the time growing up, and I actually really liked it. I haven't played it in years, but luckily it doesn't look as bad as I was worried it might be after all these years. it still has lots of issues but i was worried it was a lot worse
Man does this bring back memories. Horrible horrible memories. When I was 7 I played this games start to finish on PS1 (thank heavens.) But man do I still harbor ill will for this game. Delayed button pressed, Mojo being a jerk, and having to play as 3 characters that fundamentally played as the same character just to unlock everything was so annoying. I still have the game but it's in the dark corner of shame where other bad games I have played resides.
When I was younger I remember getting the game YuGiOh the false bound kingdom for the GameCube solely because I was really into YuGiOh at the time. On one hand the game was not that great, but it did introduce me to the genre of RPGs and because of it I ended up discovering games like Tales of Symphonia and Baten Katos.
Luckily I can name a few good licensed games up, mostly from the PS2 era: - SpongeBob Revenge of the Flying Dutchman - Spider-Man 2 the Game - Toy Story 2 - Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3 - Wallace & Gromit in Project Zoo (Hard game too) - Disney's Extreme Skate Adventure (A Disney themed Tony Hawk Game which has a so cheesy it's good soundtrack) - SpongeBob: Battle for Bikini Bottom - The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie game - The first two Star Wars Battlefront games - Bugs Bunny: Lost in Time

Love ya, Mom! :D
Okay, I need to pause the video
That hair is the most perfect I've seen all year
Redchocobo Redchocobo
that blue is blue-tiful
Omg yes!! Tamashii~ Please keep this up. I can completely see your new style and I love it!!!

now watch this have a dedicated tournament community
Pff, no. This game doesn't even hold a candle to classics like Shrek Superslam.
SuperSlam was awesome fun
Axzolon Thrillville was dope
Oh god
@@Faapu Or Rock Em Sock Em Robots on GBA
Wait, wait, was that Lilo & Stitch game just a reskin of Crash Bandicoot?
I feel like the Playstation was flooded with Crash clones. Crash was popular
if it was a reskin it would have at least been good, but it was a clone which was bad.
PeacefulPagoda Yeah, that's what I thought!
I dunno, I actually really liked that game. It was fun, especially when playing as Stitch.
That's true.
I love tamshi's new avatar
same. i wonder who made it
It's waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than her old one I really wasn't a fan of her old one but her new one is gorgeous.
I swear if anyone says
"This used to be a Pokemon channel FeelsBadMan" with a Sad Pepe face
"This used to be a Pokemon channel FeelsBadMan"
It's like complaining that Jontron and Brutalmoose aren't covering video games all that much anymore and have moved on to crappy movies and old tv respectfully.
Is it just me, or has Tamashii become funnier?
Maybe
that and her voice doesnt give me cancer anymore
haha i didn't know you do reviews like this! this is really entertaining lol. i seriously laughed at some of the crap you pointed out. kind of like AVGN but in your own style. your pokemon vids are awesome, but please do more stuff like this, especially if it's older games! you're very good at it.

But damn...thanks for the nostalgia trip, Tamashii ^_____^ Keep up the good work!
This format is great, you execute it well. I think you should continue making videos like these
Maybe I'm just not used to Tamashii being so funny, but this video was so different from older videos. I do enjoy this new style of humor and editing, but it's gonna take a few videos to get used to. Keep it up!
Ethan Wood Yes I do like it but her voice sounds kinda monotonous.
There's at least one episode in season 2 where Blossom steals a set of golf clubs and the girls fight her. So it happens, just not very often :P
There was also a flash game on cartoonnetwork.com where the girls had a pillow fight and was very fun.
I suppose they can get away with it because of that, but man I hope games like that are archived somewhere if no other reason than the nostalgia bomb.
I'm really enjoying these in-depth, critical reviews. Great to see some variety!
Your videos are so worth waiting for! Nice and long, unique, really infomative. One of my favourite youtubers, definitely!!
On the subject of video games based on shows, Hamtaro: Ham-Ham Heartbreak was pretty good.
Spongebob Battle For Bikini Bottom was a great spongebob game
The Spongebob Movie Game was also great
All spongebob games from Heavy Iron Studios were great
YES, I'm not the only one that remembers that game.
I loved the show as a kid, and Ham-Ham Heartbreak was just a very solid game all-around.
I LOVE that game! It was amazing!
That one was incredible! So glad more people remember it
I love this new style of video you are making! This video was really fun to watch!
Tamashii I commend you on your intelligence, patience, and diligence. Powerpuff girls used
explosion!
It's super broken!
wow, i actually remember playing this game as a kid! what a nostolgia trip!
Your videos always entertain me in ways of story, gaming logic, and reality of the past and present. Definitely do more! Maybe your next non-Pokemon video can cover more of Nickelodeon's older video games?
I had pretty much every power puff girls game when I was little and i love these videos because of the nostalgia!!
Omg I just came back to this channel after a few years, Jesus Christ her audio and quality are so much better
Yay! Another great Video! Great Job Tamashii! :)
I loved these games sooooooo much growing up!! I loved them!
Hi tamashii! Love yall, I smiled as soon as I saw your video on my subscriptions page
Aw, I LOVED that Barbie horse game you have in your bad games montage! My friends really liked it, too.
I feel like Cartoon Network didn't want their heroes fighting anything except villains.
I think The Cartoon Network version of Smash Brothers says otherwise.
This is a time when parent's groups were glaring at action shows, and they could get away with violence when it's against "the forces of evil". Love the last part of this video very insightfull and true love the new format keep up the great work
That button mashing LMAOOO
Greatest thing I've ever seen
I love your reviews - glad I found this channel :)
Love the amount of detail in these videos!
Please do one more pokemon video before Sun and Moon come out!
YEESSS, your back with weekly videos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You know which liscence game I totally enjoyed? Nickelodeon's Volcano Island for GBA. Had so much fun
playing it as a kid.
I haven't seen a video of you tamashi in a very long time and I love it
My first game was Super Mario Bros 3 on the NES, something I'm grateful for to this day. It's a shame the PPG games were so bad, they looked like they had some potential if more effort were put into them.
This is like jontron except with less screaming.
Still like it though keep up the good work
Nathan9062 not even near Jon
You know I'm not saying I don't like it you know that right.
WE NEED MORE SCREAMING!!!!! GET ME MY SCREAMING JUICE!!!
Not 1% like Jontron.
Quick question: did you use and emulator to capture footage and it caused some coloring glitch or did they seriously made Buttercups white?
I didn't use an emulator, just a capture card.
+TamashiiHiroka did you just join a pokemon sun and moon amino or is there a fake profil
She looks blue on my screen, so maybe it's your monitor?
I think I've already mentioned this but I've really been enjoying the new format of your videos. Definitely another good one even if the game itself wasn't very good.
I like your videos on the Powerpuff Girls games, Tamashii!

Loving these new videos! btw that Shelder sticker looks so cute!
Very well done. Hopefully the wait between this and the next review won't be as long as this and the last one.
I really like these types of videos. They remind me of RUclipsrs such as Projared and Brutalmoose because of how your going back to classics(or I should say retros :-) ) and seeing how they used to struggle at being a good game.
Keep it up Tamashi ;-).
This is awesome! I did two powerpuff themed reviews on my channel and the gameboy advance title was the only one I genuinely enjoyed! didn't know the ps1 had cut scenes!
i really enjoy your new style of videos, keep it up
I love watching your videos, even if it's about a silly game I didn't even know it existed.
Love the new style. Keep up the good work!
Wow the quality deffinetly looks alot better than older videos, great. Also, EEEH!!! Power puff girls, zomg best cartoon ever!
Yay, it's Tamashii!!!
I semi-remember seeing the games, but I was like 5 or 6 when I came across them, so...
So from what I can gather, not only is this game a reskin of a Tom and Jerry game, it also seems to be a knockoff of Power Stone, being a 3D brawler where you can pick up and use items, and you have three slots for Chemical X which makes you more powerful just like the Power Stones. Like the hair color! Can't go wrong with blue black!
Great content as always. Love your videos
I actually remember playing this game. It was kinda creepy how Him just appears there in the middle of the stage select screen.
Me and my brother were so confused like "Whoa...how did he get there?"
Also I could've sworn that in this game you could sorta fly around Townsville. I guess that was a different game.
I love your videos, you have great reviews, please keep it going!
So happy to see another one of your videos ^_^
THIS IS MY CHILDHOOD. McFreakin loved this game when I was a kid ( I wasn't very hard to impress) It was the only PlayStation game that we owned that I liked lmao. I remember kicking my brothers ass in this game, but it was super hard for me to get past princess.
When i read the text i immediately thought of the Powerpuff girl's Cartoon Network Groovies.
tamashii, why you don't upload as often as you did?
quality>>>>quantity
Lucian Pascale mobile.twitter.com/TamashiiHiroka/status/790961152696152064
Here's the deal on her upload schedule. Regardless, I'm totally with the quality over quantity statement.
12:31 "Show me your moves!"
Regarding the input lag at 10:11, it might be your HDTV. This is a game for standard definition consoles after all.
Seeing games like these made me glad I grew up with mario, pokemon, spyro and rayman.
I can't really remember buying a cash-in game.
I remember playing this on the PS1, when I was younger.
Finally regular uploading
Lol actually this Powerpuff girls game and that Tom and Jerry game were games I loved as I kid that I entirely forgot about.. it was one of my early games I was maybe 7 and 8 and for a kid that young it was amazing! I like the humor in your videos now :D
the 2d effect on princess's hair is kinda cool tho !
Tamashii had me dying throughout this video😂😭
6:12 Oscar-level acting at its finest...
No offense, but why does Tamashi sound so happy when she is supposed to be mad?
I love the new hair style you use, for you're charactor. :D
We missed you, Tamashii!
Great video! Love the hair color too! My hair used to be that color before I switched to a magenta-y fuchsia. :3
wow your perfect haha can't believe I never heard of you?!?! I am glad I never heard of this game though(: saw you on completionist figured I'd check ya out.
In Licenced games defense Rugrats Studio Tour, search for reptar and Rugrats in Paris were some of my favourite games as a kid
I just had a bizarre dream about the powerpuff girls and now I see this... I am spooked ._.
Great video Tamashii - keep em' comin :)
"Each person could play as their favorite" problem there is that everyone I know who also likes the show's favorite is Bubbles as well......
Im a sucked for analogies and this video had some great ones. loved the video keep the good work up
I could see her as a part of either Hidden Block or Normal Boots.
thankfully nowadays, all the licensed shovelware crap ends up as freemium smartphone games.
You should do a video about maybe your sun and moon team or maybe ur favorite sun and moon pokemon once the game comes out ! Also i love your reviews!
Yipeeeeeeeeeee glad to see another vid!
I died at the word cut scene analysis
I remember playing the crap out of that Tom and Jerry skin of this game as a kid on the PS1 and I really don't remember any input lag. How about playing that as well?
Man, I remember playing War of The Whiskers a hell of a lot. I remember going to Blockbusters all the time and renting any game that seemed interesting... sadly I played a lot of trash, and broken mechanics/gameplay made me feel like I was bad at games. Glad I got through the Dark Times lol

Good job on this!

I am so glad BAM Entertainment is down after watching these videos. I feel like the more I watch these videos based on BAM I'll explode in anger XD
OH MY GOD I REMEMBER PLAYING THE PLAYSTATION VERSION AS A KID
When I was younger I remember getting the game YuGiOh the false bound kingdom for the GameCube solely because I was really into YuGiOh at the time. On one hand the game was not that great, but it did introduce me to the genre of RPGs and because of it I ended up discovering games like Tales of Symphonia and Baten Katos.
wasnt she the one girl with the pikachu onesie who did that pokemon stuff
Ahh Tamashii's version of JonTron, i like it
Luckily I can name a few good licensed games up, mostly from the PS2 era:
- SpongeBob Revenge of the Flying Dutchman
- Spider-Man 2 the Game
- Toy Story 2
- Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3
- Wallace & Gromit in Project Zoo (Hard game too)
- Disney's Extreme Skate Adventure (A Disney themed Tony Hawk Game which has a so cheesy it's good soundtrack)
- SpongeBob: Battle for Bikini Bottom
- The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie game
- The first two Star Wars Battlefront games
- Bugs Bunny: Lost in Time
RiderNexus revenge of the flying dutchman is dog shit
Loga Soba Yeah, going back to it, it has not aged well
