Congratulations on your centenary! A few channels similar to your own are now opening the lid on very restrictive and clearly biased contracts being offered by manufacturers to show case products in only a positive light. It's refreshing to hear you're not falling for that and your integrity comes first, but to be fair, your loyal viewers probably already knew that. Keep up the good work and here's to next 100!
Unfortunately you will always get someone bad mouthing you because that's just their nature. I have no problems with you doing gear reviews as I won't buy it solely on your review. I will check out multiple reviews.
Thanks for being honest, mate! I like your videos, because they are soul touching. Making collaboration between business and feelings is quite difficult. Your main goal is to explore the beauty of the nature by bike, reaching your limits, planning correctly, recording and get fantastic memories and outcomes. How you are going to this is part of the business. I strongly believe that you may consider to divide the videos on two. The cinematic part will keep bulling your own style stories, and a commercial part, which could be skipped or given as a separate video, even as a separate channel. Don't miss the opportunity finance your hard works, but keep the business apart and just be honest as always. Best regards, 👍
I think product reviews are good but not out of the box ..the way i do it is after a year and the gear lasts and i still using it it becomes apart of my gear list videos .. i stop doing reviews as nothing worst than recommending gear and 6 month later it falls apart . So for me 1 year gear list works better ps companies never happy about such long wait but i just tell them it a gear test and happy to long term test there’re gear …9 out of them say yes
Personally i think if you want to make a good living i.e a proper profit after expenses, and give up your proper job, then you have to throw the kitchen sink at it. That is a rabbit hole many RUclipsers have tried and got burnt out. Id let your love of cycling and video making guide you. All the very best where this takes you. But when the AG1 videos start, I'll be out of here😂😂.
Generally I think its obvious the YTers that are honest with reviews (like yourself) so I don’t think its a problem. Its just a real shame that YT doesn’t pay a better rate for amazing videos.
Of course we can trust you. You self evidently always give your honest opinion on the items you review based on your experience of them. I liked your last review on packs / panniers and look forward to the promised future ones looking at other packs and systems. Keep up the good work!
