Story of JAG:
Here is the story of „Just a game“.
I wrote the song in 1988 (I thought it was earlier) for a life charity concert we did for the children in Africa.
We recorded the song in my studio with a few musician friends.
I played the piano and the bass, Gigi „Angel“ Schleifer on Guitar, Wolfi Lohmeier on drums.
Mario Lehner, a close friend of mine and a great singer passed away in 2010, he is the man with the voice!
I sang the first part, the second part is Regina Simon, third part is Karli Mayer.
And a bunch of singers (I don’t remember all the names) for the choir in the end.
There was another song on Side B called „A chance to change“ by Josef Bartl and Rudi Baumann.
We made 500 record singles I think, and we sold 200-300 records at the concert where we played the song with a huge band, gave the money to Karlheinz Böhm, that was it.
I have no idea how Gabor got his hands on the song and where he and his daughter are located.
Maybe they played it somewhere on the radio……
I try to create a digital version and send it to you as soon as possible, it’s hard to believe, there is no other source than this single record.
If you want, you can ask Gabor`s daughter if she wants an original record, I have a box in my attic.
