@@willm.1002 Sorry Will; Although you corrected her birth date properly, she did die on April 1, 2020 (of Covid-19) and her married name was Zilkha, not Zilcha.
She was part of the No Wave movement. Several new Wave artists were so different that they pigeon holed them into this short lived category. The only other group I can think of is the 'Just Another A.Hole'
@itchydiscoman Cristina was a literate performance artist of a singer, like Bob Dylan she wasn’t wasn’t a classic kind of voice but what she said and the way she said it hooked you. This song is a lightweight cover. What’s a Girl to Do and Is That All There Is? are the songs highlighting her strengths, her lyrics had more wit and intelligence than anything Madonna has ever “incorporated” from other writers. I was so down when I found out Cristina died. She was a great “if only”kind of artist.
I just discovered this wonderful artist. Wow... Wow... Wow... I love this woman 💜 And how tragic, she passed away. RIP
Dead from COVID
@@erotzoll She was an early casualty. It broke my heart that this amazing, quirky, independent woman was gone.
Her infamous cover of Is That All There Is was a staple on KROQ in LA. Her cover of Blue Money is also great
Her "Things Fall Apart" is probably the best Christmas song ever.
She fascinates me.
well then try her other songs ruclips.net/video/Nr9_XvpDvKk/видео.html
THANK YOU
So happy to have finally found video for Christina. Thank you for posting.

If Klaus Nomi was a beautiful woman.
Never heard her described as such before, but I see it.
HOT!
I said: Honey can't you see?
RIP CRISTINA
In a cooler, smarter world, she would have been Madonna.
That would be a world run by artists and scientists, rather than a world run by bankers, real estate developers and mobsters. Count me in!!
In a world where she could sing
Hell to the Yeah
ABSOLUTELY!!!!

Is she hot? I think so. I love women who try new things musically.

A whole new way of singing!
