Problem solving is something that helps me understand the big picture of how things work. Thanks for the good video.

I’m running a Dana 44 front on a full-size truck with Yukon shafts and that locking ring hangs me up every time. Glad to see I’m not alone.

the hub isn't pitted, the previous owner peened metal over as he also had a problem with the loose bearing race. its a quick bandaid.

I have a question about the Dana 44 front axle it's a closed knuckle I'm in the middle of a rebuild on the driver's side I went to replace the steering knuckle and it would not go back on then noticed it has 2 grooves on the outer edge of the axle and the passenger side has a single groove on it is there a difference between the 2 outer stub axles or am I missing something like the one driver side is larger than the original can you please help also I may not have mentioned the vehicle I'm working on it is a '68 f250 4x4 thanks again for your help

What was that Dana 44 off of originally? You only mentioned a 1970 something?
I’m curious as I have a Dana 44 from a 1980 dodge 3/4 ton (8lug) that I plan on using on my Scrambler.

Do you have a "trick" to get that keyed washer out? Its bound up ZERO play... magnets wont pull it out, either will two 90* picks
