Doing this job 11/1/24.... thanks for the video.
F250 OBS Torq specs
1. Install the first nut and tighten it to 50 lb ft while spinning the hub by hand to seat the bearings properly.
2. Back the nut off 1/8-1/4 turn.
3. Install the indexing washer(the piece with all the holes and the tab on it) and align one of the holes with the nipple that sticks out on the nut. You may have to tighten or loosen the nut ever so slightly to do so. You can also flip the washer around as flipping it offsets the hole positions from one side to the other.
4. Once the washer is installed correctly, then install the second nut which does not have a nipple on it and tighten it to 150 lb ft.
Thanks for these specs. I have a 97 f350 with WARN locking hubs and I’m doing a rotor, brake and bearing replacement.
The instructions say to take pliars and bend the end of the retaining ring out a few degrees. It gives you something to grab if you have to take it out.
Love the instructional video. Keeping my drive flanges on my 75 dodge dana 60 however. Np203 needs the lubrication/rotation. Looking forward to more video's, maybe one on improving the np203. Or if there are differences in early to late 203's. Thanks again for superior customer service and products. Your help on my dana 70 front and divorced np205 in the W300 is great.
Hey Sean, not sure if I will ever get around to a 203 video, I spend most of my time now behind the scenes of the business refining our website operation and sourcing/ manufacturing products that have been discontinued by the OEMs (like the auto locking hub nut retaining clip, wheel hub, and spindle in this video). The 203 was really designed to be lubricated by the chain, but being as you have drive flanges the chain will always be spinning at road speed so that should not be an issue. There is such a thing as a part time kit that seems like it replaces a couple of wear points inside but I don't have experience with it personally... Thanks for watching!
A little more info on how tight to make the nuts would be enlightening.
Depends on application, like he says
bearings should not have too much load, races should not be deformed, so snug, but not ugga duggas
Please give an in depth video on your TK11380, DRW hub for 2003-2008 Ram 3500.
I’ve been looking around for quality axle replacement parts for an AAM discontinued Chrysler, Ram axle.
Thank you, Sir👍
Having a hard time getting my locking hubs splines to line up with axle
You may need to reach back and wiggle the axle shaft at the joint, or if the spindle bearing is toast that can cause misalignment as well.
Does these need the o ring it comes with?
Totally incomplete assembly instructions. Where is the oil slinger spring and other snap ring go?
Hi-, the spring and spring plate are NOT to be used with a Warn hub! You either are replacing a solid drive gear, or a Spicer locking hub. Strip all that jazz out, there should be nothing left inside except the spindle nuts. This video is correct.
The Warn hub is a complete self contained unit. I did miss that small snap ring, it goes on the shaft before the dial assembly is screwed on.
Thanks for clarifying the spring confused me also. I assumed it still needed to be there.
@@TorqueKingTV Thanks. This is good info because the shop that did the WARN locks on my 97 F350 left the spring in. I only know because I’m having to replace rotors, brakes and bearings now.
I need to open ad Automatic Hub for a 2000 Nissan S22
I don't know how to do it. Do You can help me.
Hello. I got some questions about the 1995 to 1996 f250 Dana 50 ifs front axle. My axle has springs in behind the gear pack .I call them pressure springs. Now I want to get a set of hub where I can do away with the springs and replace them . I was told that warn makes a direct fit hub for the Ford f250 ifs for 95 to 97 and you don't need the spring anymore. Do you know the part number? Thank you for your help.
Hi- the Warn hub set would be a complete replacement, you would discard all of your original parts on the outboard end of the 3 piece spindle nut set. The Warn kit is part number is QU56011 for an imported set or QU56025 for a USA made set.
Imported set: torqueking.com/product/56011/qu56011-warn-11690-dana-50-dana-60-internal-spline-mount-hub-locks/
USA set: torqueking.com/product/56025/qu56025-warn-38826-premium-lock-out-hub-set-dana-50-dana-60-axles/
I can't get the spiarl ring to fit in my 2003 f 250 gose half way thats it it stops
For those trucks, I believe the 3 piece thrust washer needs to come out, and you add an outer groove on your shaft for the snap ring to sit outside the internal Warn body. I know this was the case with 97 and earlier trucks that had auto hubs. Alternatively, Mile Marker hubs have a shorter inner body and did not have this issue.
Hi. If I put my inner snap ring on I can't get the big outer to go in.
Do I need the inner snap ring?
97 f350
Could I do this to a 1997 f150 ?
Yes you can.
Good vid just need to talk louder.
