Characters that are not difficult to play are less rewarding overall to win as because it takes a few panic buttons, low execution, and a couple of mixups. It doesn’t feel good when winning truly doesn’t take that much effort due to character pick.

For example, RFF df3 is a homing mid that has forward momentum and plus on block that low crushes, but in T7 that move had no forward momentum and ended his turn on block and wasn't a low crushing move. That's just one example. (I was a Hwo main btw when I still played Tekken, but I hate T8)

tekken 8 truly feels different the noob friendly aspect is very annoying as the game was made to be hard and was made to have a high skill level the combos are basic and boring the game was made to have a very high skill level but now i can just press y 4 times
I mean if you want you can play like that but unless you are air juggling the opponent then you will just get punished against a knowledgable, optimal damage combos usually require many more inputs even for ‘noob’ characters

People have done comparisons before like themainman, with tekkan 7 showcasing how broken some characters like marduk were where death combos were a thing. Even how spamy lot of characters were. They've concluded out of all tekkan games tekkan 8 is way more balanced than the others after 1.05 there's still stupid things like drag needing a nerf (incoming in 1.08) but in general from past tekkan games 5-7 is no where near

Lidia is dope but I think the issue is adding her over more popular and in demand options according to the community. They made Eddie dlc which is dumb as he's been in tekken FOREVER, Lidia who is also not someone to be excited for compared to say Bruce, Baek, and so forth. I remember grinding tekken 7 so hard for tekken emperor . It took me a year to achieve but it genuinely took skill , never once did I leave a match unsatisfied . When I played tekken 8 demo i just mashed a bunch of buttons and was able to get a string somehow 😭 it’s suuuper mash friendly and anyone who disagrees is a liar. I started 8 with Jun and was able to get to fujin just mashing buttons im not kidding 😭. I still love playing 8 online it’s fun at times but I can’t get past some of my opponents and how scrubbed out they are. I main azucena and learned her move set and don’t play her like a scrub , she’s fun as hell but I run into so many players who just want a quick W instead of playing a fair cool game. It’s frustrating for sure

Adding tekken tag 2 and tekken 6 to steam will literally do nothing to tekken 7's numbers, especially for an extended period of time lol. People will go back to play those for nostalgia reasons but people will probably flock more to 7 than either of those. Also bruce is not gonna move numbers man. I want him back too but Fakhunram is more relevant in the community rn.
Rage art armor starts up in 8 frames, going for meatys all the time makes you predictable so therefore you get punished, it beats heat smashers also it is a decent idea to be like "fuck your mix I am taking my turn back", so do your math for frame data on how to beat rage art, just dash forward to bait them into rage arting then launch punish them, pay attention to the screen and know what your opponent is capable of doing.

1: People who low-blocked you in these matches are doing it because you have shown them that you are very willing to do those moves and have given them enough reasons to block low. 2: The Kazuya could've been playing on a keyboard or a leverless, giving him access to SOCD inputs which could explain his kbd's. 3: While yes, cheaters do exist, they are usually known well enough to the point that people will make RUclips videos about them to warn the community or at least bring it up in forums, discord groups, and so on. I really do not believe that there are THAT many cheaters that you would just run in to them one after another. 4: Just because people wash your ass online does not make them a cheater, if you have enough reasons to believe that they are, go to the replay and check the input history and really pay attention to when they did the input and for how long. If they duck your lows for example at frame one of your low attack and duck for just as long as your low attacks frames and do that every time, then yes, very likely a cheater. 5: You mentioned Leroy and Raven for being the only black characters being in the game and that if there was an additional one in the game it would be a "movement"? Okay do we just want to pretend Eddie Gordo does not exist or what's going on here? Sure it's not 50/50 spread But the game has a variety of ethnicities and backgrounds. I personally don't have an issue with this point but it is still very odd point to bring up. 6 I do not think the game not having the characters you like is a valid excuse to say the game is good or not, I was a Kunimitsu/Josie main in 7 and I still am bummed out about them not being in 8, but I like the franchise enough to find someone else to main and play until hopefully either they are back or a new character is returned/introduced that I can try and potentially enjoy playing. Also Heihachi is a Mishima, when has a Mishima truly died off? While yes I was caught off-guard about him being back because Harada said he was, and I quote "Completely dead". It was not that shocking that he pulled something out of his ass and brought himself back in to the game. And lastly 7: While you have the right to dislike a game and is absolutely fine to, I really don't think you understand the game well enough if you cannot even articulate the reason as to why you think the game is "Noob-friendly". I can think of a few reasons as to why and if you made those points I would've given you at least the point to give the opinion as to why the game is "Noob-friendly" or not. At the end of the day, it's just a video game and if you do not like it then that's that and that is completely fine. However I do not think it is wise to give it this much crap on a platform as big as yours to people who are not, for a lack of better words, well educated enough about the game and would blindly repeat those same "points" you did. It's pretty normal to be better at back dashing on one side. It's very difficult to consistently do it on both sides from muscle memory. Still the cheating problem is very bad in T8.
As much as i understand the nostalgia, bruce is an atrocius pick, seriously, everything about him its just.. not it. Design: hes just a black guy doing muai thai, thats it. Whats worse is that we already have two of the same fuckin character archetype, leroy and raven are also just "black american doing asian martial art". Story: kazuyas body guard (for some reason), died 17 years ago. The only remotly interesting thing was that he was one of the few people he trusted, but even then, that was never explored or of any relevance. Gameplay: he isnt all that special, he played like a neutal controll character/combo monster, similar to something like paul or bryan, soooo just play paul or bryan, bonus reference for representation: we already have 2 "black american guy does martial arts" and no thailand representation when they have a culture thats so intertwined to their martial art, it'd be like having feng or lei not be chinese. Now compare that with fahkumram. Design: setting aside his ateocius model in tekken 7, not really a problem of design as much as graphics, his design is unique, tall, big but lanky monster of a warrior, tatooed head to toe in his culture while being scarred by fricking lighting, scars that GLOW on his most powerful strikes. Actually represeting his culture with traditional ritual outfits and clothes. Story: amids the chaos of the tournaments in t7, and preparing of t8, Thailand decides to have their own super weapon martial artist to realease in turnaments, so they hold his family hostage and make him fight against his will. Gameplay: objectively one of the most unique and creative fighting style in tekkens history, so unique that in T8 they took the corner stone of his playstyle, charge moves and charge guard breaks, and give similar moves to a good chunk of the cast, paul, bryan, feng, lidia just to name a few. I understand why some people would like bruce, but stop the cap, fahk is a 100% a better choice and thats facts

Lidia is dope but I think the issue is adding her over more popular and in demand options according to the community. They made Eddie dlc which is dumb as he's been in tekken FOREVER, Lidia who is also not someone to be excited for compared to say Bruce, Baek, and so forth. I remember grinding tekken 7 so hard for tekken emperor . It took me a year to achieve but it genuinely took skill , never once did I leave a match unsatisfied . When I played tekken 8 demo i just mashed a bunch of buttons and was able to get a string somehow 😭 it’s suuuper mash friendly and anyone who disagrees is a liar. I started 8 with Jun and was able to get to fujin just mashing buttons im not kidding 😭. I still love playing 8 online it’s fun at times but I can’t get past some of my opponents and how scrubbed out they are. I main azucena and learned her move set and don’t play her like a scrub , she’s fun as hell but I run into so many players who just want a quick W instead of playing a fair cool game. It’s frustrating for sure

Well I get that some of the hate is justified as Tekken 8 is flawed in many ways, but I don’t think it really deserves this much hate. Judging by my profile pic it should be obvious that I enjoy the game very much and all I can say is that I think it’s unfortunate that you don’t as I always enjoyed watching you play Tekken.
Look Dej…some people have just practiced enough of the game to know what to do. Backdashing well and blocking lows, especially when the lows are a go to pattern, isn't cheating, it's just knowing your opponent.
IDK what it is but Hwaorang is sooo bad to play with in Tekken 8. I get destroyed by Bryans, Yoshis, Drags, Reinas, and others.
He has so many disadvantages once you hit the orange rank.

Adding tekken tag 2 and tekken 6 to steam will literally do nothing to tekken 7's numbers, especially for an extended period of time lol. People will go back to play those for nostalgia reasons but people will probably flock more to 7 than either of those. Also bruce is not gonna move numbers man. I want him back too but Fakhunram is more relevant in the community rn.

Rage art armor starts up in 8 frames, going for meatys all the time makes you predictable so therefore you get punished, it beats heat smashers also it is a decent idea to be like "fuck your mix I am taking my turn back", so do your math for frame data on how to beat rage art, just dash forward to bait them into rage arting then launch punish them, pay attention to the screen and know what your opponent is capable of doing.

1: People who low-blocked you in these matches are doing it because you have shown them that you are very willing to do those moves and have given them enough reasons to block low.
2: The Kazuya could've been playing on a keyboard or a leverless, giving him access to SOCD inputs which could explain his kbd's.
3: While yes, cheaters do exist, they are usually known well enough to the point that people will make RUclips videos about them to warn the community or at least bring it up in forums, discord groups, and so on. I really do not believe that there are THAT many cheaters that you would just run in to them one after another.
4: Just because people wash your ass online does not make them a cheater, if you have enough reasons to believe that they are, go to the replay and check the input history and really pay attention to when they did the input and for how long. If they duck your lows for example at frame one of your low attack and duck for just as long as your low attacks frames and do that every time, then yes, very likely a cheater.
5: You mentioned Leroy and Raven for being the only black characters being in the game and that if there was an additional one in the game it would be a "movement"? Okay do we just want to pretend Eddie Gordo does not exist or what's going on here? Sure it's not 50/50 spread But the game has a variety of ethnicities and backgrounds.
I personally don't have an issue with this point but it is still very odd point to bring up.
6 I do not think the game not having the characters you like is a valid excuse to say the game is good or not, I was a Kunimitsu/Josie main in 7 and I still am bummed out about them not being in 8, but I like the franchise enough to find someone else to main and play until hopefully either they are back or a new character is returned/introduced that I can try and potentially enjoy playing.
Also Heihachi is a Mishima, when has a Mishima truly died off? While yes I was caught off-guard about him being back because Harada said he was, and I quote "Completely dead".
It was not that shocking that he pulled something out of his ass and brought himself back in to the game.
And lastly 7: While you have the right to dislike a game and is absolutely fine to, I really don't think you understand the game well enough if you cannot even articulate the reason as to why you think the game is "Noob-friendly". I can think of a few reasons as to why and if you made those points I would've given you at least the point to give the opinion as to why the game is "Noob-friendly" or not.
At the end of the day, it's just a video game and if you do not like it then that's that and that is completely fine. However I do not think it is wise to give it this much crap on a platform as big as yours to people who are not, for a lack of better words, well educated enough about the game and would blindly repeat those same "points" you did.

It's pretty normal to be better at back dashing on one side. It's very difficult to consistently do it on both sides from muscle memory. Still the cheating problem is very bad in T8.

As much as i understand the nostalgia, bruce is an atrocius pick, seriously, everything about him its just.. not it. Design: hes just a black guy doing muai thai, thats it. Whats worse is that we already have two of the same fuckin character archetype, leroy and raven are also just "black american doing asian martial art". Story: kazuyas body guard (for some reason), died 17 years ago. The only remotly interesting thing was that he was one of the few people he trusted, but even then, that was never explored or of any relevance. Gameplay: he isnt all that special, he played like a neutal controll character/combo monster, similar to something like paul or bryan, soooo just play paul or bryan, bonus reference for representation: we already have 2 "black american guy does martial arts" and no thailand representation when they have a culture thats so intertwined to their martial art, it'd be like having feng or lei not be chinese. Now compare that with fahkumram. Design: setting aside his ateocius model in tekken 7, not really a problem of design as much as graphics, his design is unique, tall, big but lanky monster of a warrior, tatooed head to toe in his culture while being scarred by fricking lighting, scars that GLOW on his most powerful strikes. Actually represeting his culture with traditional ritual outfits and clothes. Story: amids the chaos of the tournaments in t7, and preparing of t8, Thailand decides to have their own super weapon martial artist to realease in turnaments, so they hold his family hostage and make him fight against his will. Gameplay: objectively one of the most unique and creative fighting style in tekkens history, so unique that in T8 they took the corner stone of his playstyle, charge moves and charge guard breaks, and give similar moves to a good chunk of the cast, paul, bryan, feng, lidia just to name a few. I understand why some people would like bruce, but stop the cap, fahk is a 100% a better choice and thats facts
