I' m a roman historical renactor and my role in my group is being one of the dancers we have :) i must say, you are the one so far that is actually quite nice to look at it with nice accurate movemts i must say.. but i must tell you that the wings weren't very included in the roman dances however, we know that their dances might had some influces from oriental dances :).i' m happy that you stuck up more with the roman thing rather then straight up oriental, many sadly stuck up more with belly dance. I know we really don' t know how they danced but from my research as an old modern dancer and now an ancient roman dancer the saltatio was very very popular but i also believe in a more slow seductive dance since dancers danced usually naked or with a see trought veil on them. Apart from the oriental wings i appreciated that you also inculed the tambourine and the veil is a nice way :) The dress is also very nice to look at. Plus the theme of the series rome is a well known and awesome theme so nice music selection. I must say if you included some more jumps it wuold had even better :)
Thank you very much for such an interesting comment! We are not reenactors of this period, our usual period is the dances of the Baroque era. This video is just our fantasy on the theme of Ancient Rome. We are very pleased that you even liked something in our video, we certainly understand all the assumptions and inaccuracies! Thanks again, it was very interesting to read your comment!
@@MonplaisirDanceCompany no worries! Is nice seeing someone that is interested in even puting a small dance performance based on roman dances! And is not easy to do it straight of the bat i must tell you!
@@MonplaisirDanceCompany *Tsiftsefeli* is both a modern and ancient Greek dance performed mostly just by women. And you are welcome! we Greeks support The Arts, especially ancient theater and classical dances.
