@@cadennorris960 You can look through quite a few sights with NV on, though image quality/light transmission level will vary. And no, thermal cannot see through glass. The thermal is mounted in the middle, and separate from the intensifier tubes though, so there will not be an impact unless the sight is obnoxiously large in the housing size. A bigger concern is battery life. If the thermal and NV run off of the same battery, life will be super short, probably 4h or less.

Sometimes with just one eye looking through the tube, in really dark jungle/forest environments you'll stare at a bush not knowing what you're looking at or how far away it is. Hard to explain. For urban or fields with ambient light, one tube is usually fine. But those super dark situations...

Are those bubbles in the lens coating?!
Pretty bulky, lots of glass lens(weight). They should also look at weight reduction, thats the size of stuff from the 80s. They might have to sacrifice some FOV to balance it out.
Usually with something this big you have to add a counterweight to your helmet 🪖 . Usually strap a grenade pouch to the back and fill it with spare batteries. You wear out your C5 but get nerd neck otherwise.

Can citizens have this or is it illegal throughout the United States?

Yes as long as you're not a felon. You also cannot export it.

completely legal, yes. Its just very expensive. around 8,000 USD. You can get a single eye piece night vision for about 2,500 called PVS-14 but compared to this its not really as good

@@ICanFeedTheDog night vision devices has dual tube white xls tubes(xls tubes are tubes that didn't meet mil spec) for like 5600. You can get some decent spec ones for 7200 or 6700. The max spec ones are around 9000 I think? If I were you I'd ask for the 6700 or 7200 spot free. Just say you want something clean ideally with no spots and as long as you're around 1900 fom you're gonna be happy with what you got.

It's just getting to unfair levels of tech. If you don't have this tech or antiquated tech you are just absolutely getting hosed.

Yep we had these with phones that could Bluetooth to your nods and show your waypoint or Bluetooth to your night time clip on optic so you could “aim” around corners and shit on a hud in your nods like a literal video game.
