    This makes it so easy to understand how to divide everything up in the beginning for blending, and then also laying out the spirals at the end to either be dramatic colour shifts or a gradient back and forth. Great tutorial, thank you :)

    I love these videos. I taught myself to spin long before the internet (or personal computers!), but then didn’t spin for many years. My interest in spinning resurfaced a couple of years ago. I only have hand carders and really don’t think I’ll go for a blending board or drum carder, but your videos are inspiring me to use my carders as a blending board. When I first started spinning I bought raw fleece and did natural dying, but now am happy to just spin from combed top or roving. However, I love all I am learning from the internet!

    These videos honestly help me for when my drum carder gets here, I'm prepared to use these lessons. Even though it's a motorized one, I can go around some issues by taking my time & have the setting on low.

    Gorgeous!! So glad to see the doorstop!!! I struggle holding the handle and drafting 😂-. Now all I need is a doorstop! And I agree No Fun spinning from a tight “rolog”. - so much easier and and smoother for me with a nice soft loose “rolog”!!! Have a great day!!

    I'm so glad you're feeling better! I love watching your videos. You're so happy/good/ positive attitude. Your so knowledgeable also. The only thing I do with any type of wool is I crochet.     This was a great tutorial! I learned so much as always. You have a way of explaining things that make sense. I also like the way you show things visually so we don't have to guess what you are doing, if that made sense. I don't have a drum carder but I have had a blending board for over a year. I can't wait to try this. You made it look so easy. Love all your videos! Thank you.

    The last set of rolags (blue/black/rust) is gorgeous! It makes me want to pull out my blending board and stash dive. But I just got some pretty fiber in the mail that my fingers are itching to spin! 😉

    Oh my goodness they turned out so beautifully. Definitely going to try this! We got about 6 inches of snow today. Snowed from 7 last night to about 6pm, but it could still be off and on until about 9. Christmas snow was behind a bit ;p.

    Perfect timing. I now have to take this apart to work with the limitations of my tools., but now I know the lay of the land! Thank you for helping me with gradients and self striping. I have been picking this apart in my head for awhile.

      If you have hand cards, I think you could break it down a little like I did the gradient braid breakdown 🤔. I've been thinking about how to do it with hand cards since I started editing

    I used to think it was weird to divide out a batt that way you do with that n or z method until I tried it. Now I like it better than strips because it almost like continuous roving. It’s a great tip! I saw it first on one of your videos years ago.

    I love all the colors today! Specially the second one, I did a blend similar to this with a gold and turquoise. I’ve always wanted to own a drum carder but they are so expensive. Love the work!

    I also do not like to spin too tight of a rolag. I’m gonna try doing a gradient but using hand carders and pulling thru a diz.
