90% of my clan doesn't even play anymore (me included). They log in on Tuesday, do the manhunt, check out the vendors and bail. We don't even bother with the daily or weekly stuff anymore. Ubi has alienated and turned off everyone who was a casual gamer. The more they try, the more the screw it up.
If you add modifiers...make an option to only play with others who do or dont have modifiers...dont make it so if the host has them on and you dont now they are on and not only that you cant see the range circle so suddenly you burst 3 mill damage onto a boss and YOU DIE.
This was my biggest question I tried to ask before it came out. When no one could answer I knew this* was going to be part of a new problem as far keeping players online smh. It's real sad.
This goes to show how out of touch the developers are with the community. Instead of creating new content, they introduce modifiers and tell you to go run the same boring content with those, and they consider that adding "new" content to the game. This franchise deserves better.
But they can't "add new content." At least not the kind some players want. They just don't have the team, nor direction to do that. Not to mention, the Brooklyn DLC will be coming out in a few months, so why would they divert resources from Brooklyn, just to add some random pvp mode (or whatever kind of content you mean?)
@@SCarter02767ohh, he is the one on a Livestream, talking about power creep while playing on Challenging 0 directives And talking about power creep and they are the one who introduced the Expertise system
things division needs to do to excite players even if for a little while 1. open the dark zone to be PvE Only 2. Allow for raids raid rewards during open matchmaking 3. Make Decent mode have permanent equipment (buy starting equipment) 4. Allow seasonal rewards to be obtained in more that 1 method.
After you complete the journey there’s literally no reason to use modifiers bc the only thing in the new season that makes you use them is the journey I got my journey done in two days and turned that shit off modifiers are actually ass
Complexity is fine, but Ubisoft in its desperate bid to increase player hours has lost sight of how much complexity is acceptable and how to implement a reasonable level of complexity.
The developers need to understand that the new modifier system will deter veteran players from purchasing new seasons. I refuse to use them, so I won't collect the rewards I paid for. I preordered this game when it came out and have bought every season since. If the modifiers remain, Ubisoft won't see another dime from me. I believe that they have nerfed the play for players who turn modifiers off trying to force us to use them. This is no longer the game I have supported for years.
So I noticed something interesting about modifiers for the first time today. Each player has the freedom to choose their own modifiers in a group. I was running Wallstreet with 3 randos and each one was running something different. It was pretty cool
the developers said players would get almost maxed loot for playing heroic or legendary and all high end but nope. Still get sh!tty gear I don't need and the attributes don't make sense to even on the piece, smh.
I finally made a character strong enough to play on heroic and came across one of those loot goblin dudes and he dropped one yellow and four purples. I had to check my global setting to make sure I was actually on heroic.
Logging in lately. Whenever i fight a tank enemy, he's not even shooting at me and while I'm shooting at him I'm taking damage. I get downed just by shooting at them. Never got that problem before.
Shit mode also. It’s annoying. Made me go off. They keep ruining the game every single type and yet why do u think Destiny although isn’t on good form still thrives and even till date is announced in game awards.. division devs just do what they want but not what the players want.
There are plenty of curveballs to deal with when you are simply in a pickup group in heroic, or especially in legendary, add this stuff to it and it becomes a mess, and i end up having to use something like my tank build to save the team, when i dont want to be playing my tank build all the time.
I just jumped back in after a year off and was surprised about these modifiers. I 100% agree that their should be 2 ways to move forward in the season. I don't mind the modifiers myself but I can see how others wouldn't care to play that way. 2 roads to success with 2 different rewards at the end. I like it.
Turn your world down to normal just to finish your journey. Then after you finished and want to run open world dial up your world and turn off modifiers. These modifiers actually do significant damage, so it's up to you.
@@SamBrooks-c3t And that is only part of the problem. The journeys encourage/force players to play solo. Try getting 350 kills in a strong group of 4. You will be there a long time.
@TheBigBlueMarble Exactly I used to never play solo always ran in groups in heroic nonstop always completed everyday weekly tasks etc. and reran the same things over and over bc I thrive on doing it better and faster.. Now I nearly run everything solo bc matchmake doesn't fill my group. So crazy. Yet takes a lot of the thrill and excitement out of it doing them again so I end up not being on as often or even everyday.
I actually liked that the new journey-thing made me think how I'd want to do things and what kind of a loadout I'd want to use. There were few things that required to use the modifiers, but not all of 'em. Made me see a new way to do the "same old, same old". And when I wanted to just run aimlessly, I could turn them off and do just that. So I actually think the way they made it is quite fun.
@SprayedPepper I agree with the grinding. Like having to take out 100 snipers with a modifier. If you're in a group, you might find 1 or 2 snipers and your team mates can take them out even if they don't need them and you're better off to grind on your own
Yes, it's a question of reference. But here, it's a bit like if you're traveling with a low-cost airline, without meals with goats and chickens next to you, and you think there's nothing better. But for the veterans, it's different because we've experienced flying " first class " (even with bugs). And this season is a return to low-cost. No fun + bugs again
I dont like it when I'm trying to play with other players without modifiers. And if theirs turned on I have to play with the modifiers. That need to be fixed.
Why force someone to do something they don’t want to do?…. Modifiers are a great idea but have been implemented poorly. I for one don’t use the modifiers but I did try them out to see how they actually worked.
They're only deactivated if you're solo. If you play with a buddy who has them turned on then they're on for you as well. If you matchmake and that/those players have them on then they're on regardless of whether you have them off
Look I’ve almost completed journey mission 7 at this point… the modifiers are annoying but aren’t all too bad! They keep you on your toes and force you to adapt your play style! I enjoy them actually as I have changing my builds and trying different options getting me out of the one build to use all the time! They work!
They don't make you more powerful if you are trying to grind out specific kills with specific modifiers. It's infuriating trying to get it done. It's the exact opposite of fun, actually. Feels like trying to dig a 6' x 6' hole with a table spoon while someone sprays water in your face with a water hose.
Here’s an issue with the current system. If I have my modifiers turned OFF, and I join someone else who has them turned ON, I get all of the downsides and none of the bonuses.
Man, look, division 2 could easily be the greatest 3rd shooter ever made and has so so so much potential. I truly have no idea what they are doing. Its like make a brand of soda in one flavor and everyone loves it. It cant stay in the the store. People are asking for more flavors and instead they give you a different size of the one flavor they make. So now you can get a 2liter instead of a 1liter. But if you just added additional flavors you could grow the brand even further. Its sad...
@@ManaWarGaming Idk. Extraction shooters are very niche. It would be fine if that was it's own game mode within the greater Division ecosystem, but as a direction for the franchise and a standalone game...probably not good.
@@Act.Random I played the Beta's, I still think they were heading in the right direction, but I think it could have been an addition to The Division 2, not a separate free to play game.
Mayhem Mode in B3 is a great example for people who wants an extra challenge for better rewards and gameplay experience without making you feel you have no choice.
Haven't played b3, but don't we already have similar in d2 with levels like normal, hard, challenging, heroic and legendary ? The rewards in heroic are (almost) all gold + xp, but on missions, if you die you go back to the start, which seems a fair risk to take for the extra rewards.
@@MrAnoneemouse the problem with lower levels is it's really pve only because you have no chance against those that sit on the game for 12 hours a day grinding like it's their job. They're forcing you to play the higher levels without saying it.
I REALLY didn't like the modifiers(specifically the hostile modifiers) at first, but once you start getting your own modifiers you can do some real nutty things and it's a lot of fun! I have a strega umbra build where i regularly see over 2 million a shot and it gets as high as 3.5 million when everything works out just right. Another thing to consider is if you ever do any matchmaking, whether it's your session or not, modifiers will be on for everyone if anyone on the fireteam has them active. Not sure if that is intentional, but that's what happens. So you might as well get a feel for them.
@ManaWarGaming love it! Haven't been able to go back to my go to (SE) since I got it. Mind you, I jumped in hard as soon as the season launched. Because of the XP bug, I got it in the first few hours of playthrough. Also the chatterbox is GODLY since the buffs!
The modifiers haven’t bothered me, but I really hate when I get pushed into mandatory multi-player. Or when the random activity is descent mode. Either way, I’m just patiently waiting on new DLC and Div3. 😎
@@SprayedPepper If the DLC is similar to WONY, then it's worth the wait. If it's just a re-skin of Brooklyn, then it might only be a distraction for a few days.
'And that is why ppl will leave 👏. What i find stupid is that wen i turn off the modifiers, do matchmake and wait till ppl join me, wen 1 of the randy's has his modifiers on, it turns it on for the whole group. STUPID!!!!!
The mods still has a bugs for me bcuz when i shot at enemies, i got a damage from my own shot!?!? Thats why i turn it off bcuz its annoying when i killing at enemies yet i died by unknown damage while shooting an npc by 1 on 1 😂😅
Most players like Heroic difficulty with directives for open world PVE. With the modifiers going on, we are forced to play on easier if not the easiest difficulty to get things done efficiently. Also with the modifiers, we are forced to play solo. Some of these challenges are for us to kill one NPC and then kill ourselves over 100 times.
Sniper, long range, with a modifier... Wave 1, Liberty Island, over and over again. That's not how I want to play this game. I had businesses in GTA 5 that I had preserve interest in and protect. I got paid for my work. In this game, chore, churn, rinse, repeat and money only travels in one direction...
I’m on journey 7 some of the modifiers are honestly super great and some are truly bad. I think they need to tweak the journeys like 200 headshots with x modifier active is to many maybe cut it all in half so it’s not such a chore.
Or they could come up with something that is weekly and easy enough for casual players to do while playing like 1hr or so a day. Point is the journeys is not the best setup only reason I’m on 7 is because I powered through most of it to get it done for the reward.
being required to play with modifiers has absolutely ruined the game for me and many of the people I play with... I'm seriously thinking about quitting the game altogether. before this new season I averaged about 5-6 hours a day of play daily - now I average about 1-2 hours a day 2-3 days a week... I play the game to have fun not to bossed around and told what to do.... if I wanted to be bossed arounf and told what to do I would have stayed married...
I am doing Journey 5 right now and it’s a slog. Getting the 100 rusher kills and 175 veterans at mid-range is a real drag. But oh well, I want that Carmine mask……
It seems like a lot of people "stop the buck" at the Developer's door. Don't forget, if Massive could fund, build AND DISTRIBUTE its own game, I believe that you'd all have a point. However, the Division 2 is brought to you through that glorious UBISOFT lens!!! Believe me, if current events surrounding UBI's business decisions aren't evident enough, I don't know what else they could burn down to prove that fans are their last consideration! This game is about metrics; play time, concurrent users, etc. NOT about your individual experience. Funding drives innovation and if UBI wants a shiny new object added for justification, they get it. Want proof? WE WANT MORE FUNCTIONAL ELEMENTS LIKE GEAR SPACE! Why don't we, after our network of connections built over the past 5 years of building our own characters, have something like an economy for materials that, for example, we could send groups out to farm materials for us. If they get attacked, we have to come to the rescue! I love that idea. Then I don't have to farm hard and gamble it all away by getting skunked at a stupid crafting bench in las vegas. UBISOFT wants to patch in a "seasonal journey" on a game this old rather than innovate in a meaningful way. We'll never get what we want because they know better and that's just the way it is. I love this game, but I'm strained and drained.
NPC's shooting you from all directions and I have to check if I can shoot this guy from close, mid or long range? Then they shock you and all that modifiers they have on them. Bottom line is you're dead, AGAIN. I'd be more happy if they just nerfed that damn door/blockade at Grand Washington Hotel 😁
The one thing I’ve been hating about modifiers if you have them disabled and a random player joins you and they have modifiers one the all the enemies will have their modifiers active leaving you no way to counter them
So it's not really a catch-22. There are multiple ways to complete an objective. You have to be able to interpret correctly what the developers are requesting of you. Now some objectives, for example descent, require a lot of back knowledge, and so descent is usually completely avoided - to get it done even will have had to invest a minimum of 60 hours before attempting the objective. And that is ridiculous. But descent doesn't require active settings.
I think the point is that, we are told we can turn modifiers off, but they have to be on to complete some of the journey missions. An agent cannot complete the journey missions without doing some activity with modifiers on.
I understand and I get it, but if you take the time to realize they gave us more power. I won’t act like at 1st I wasn’t upset. But when took a step back checked out the modifiers and started building with them in mind. The journeys are tough but rewarding in that individual level. Like those who crush legendaries.
It's alright to play once a while but not enough to keep majority interested or let alone not kill off most addiction they had for the game. I was same way at first. But truth be told, they just poke a bigger hole on their ship and lost a lot of players. Most clans are having a difficult time keeping players active..
The devs have broken the game. Sure you can turn them off but now if someone joins me with them on I’m punished by them having them on. It’s not fun and the best part of Div 2 was the multiplayer, my clan, running with them and having fun is what kept me coming back and now that’s no longer enjoyable because some are slower at doing their journey or enjoy the modifiers and some don’t , etc.. it’s made the game for me a solo player game and I have done everything a million times overs and doing it solo just sucks butt! Talk about pushing me out of their game..
I feel like the game is just a mess with unnecessary measures and so many limitations as to what can and can’t be done. The community being split by the patch changes every week or every month the weapons the gears just being not so “new feeling” like nothing feels uniquely the way it use to I just feel like most of the in game content nowadays in every game I touch besides Stalker is such a money cash grab when a game is suppose to be fun and relaxing not stressful and pain inducing needing so much devoted time of commitment to everything in the game
No dilemma...I am no longer playing Div2. And, if Div3 happens (unlikely), will modifiers be there too? And as for punishing players ...Retribution penalizes players for doing the one thing you MUST do...shoot NPCs. As a player I want to be challenged, but these modifiers are not the way to do it. Instead of modifiers, provide difficult sliders...from Story...to Impossible. Different sliders for number of NPCs, percentage of NPCs that are Elite, damage done by NPCs, etc.
This is my opinion of the new Season 2.0. I have been playing this game for about 15 months and am at SHD level 6472. I've done pretty much everything. I like all of it but don't really do Descent all that much. I do not understand why the developers ignore the wants of their customers. Everyone seems to be clamoring for new content. Heartland was a good idea. I had hoped it would be a DLC like WONY with new (NEW) stuff to do. But that got cancelled. With Season 2 we got the same old thing just reworked a bit. People want to do new stuff with old gear NOT old stuff with new gear. At any rate here's what I did. I activated the new season and it took 2 days to finish the season pass and get the mediocre loot. I worked the Priority Projects for the passive modifiers while grinding through the Journey. This took about 2 weeks to get it all done. Yes, I did the starting and resetting missions thing 125 times, etc. It was a total drag. IMHO, the new season was nothing new or exciting. Even the prizes were just 'meh'. So I got it done and turned it off. Now I play like I used to. I do answer calls for backup and inevitably the season will be on. I guess 'When in Rome'. I don't complain and just go with it. Sometimes I'll activate my modifiers, sometimes not. No big deal. Here's something else. I think the seasonal events like golden bullet, need to have the season 2 de-activated in order to work. I am not sure and will have to wait and see.
Ask yourself this one question. What made The Division 1 a massive success with gamers? The answer(s) completely explains where Ubisoft and its developers have gone wrong with The Division 2. Heartland would have been a positive step in the right direction, but they cancelled it. Instead, they updated the game with seasons 2.0, which now REQUIRE modifiers (that you have to grind forever to get) to participate in the seasonal content, with no new content 'expected' until March of 2025. Major. Fail.
I do legendary strongholds solo or together all the time and it doesn't give me any extra loot, but this is the kind of challenging that is fun... These modifiers are just a cheap way of/ fake content to keep the community busy. Because Ubisoft doesn't want to invest money on actual content
One unfortunate thing, in my opinion, about this community is no matter what the devs do. They're are bashed into the ground for it. Now, there are a few issues with the modifiers, but I don't think they had the time to make them perfect. At first, they were going with seasonal characters, which might have been a lot easier to do than design seasonal modifiers. Think about it the seasonal characters would have had nothing. So, in a sense, the biggest challenge might have been creating space for them. It's odd to me that I imagine that 90% of the player base are adults, yet we all cry like starving babies. I think that they'll iron out the issues. This first release is just an extended test
Yup, with a game like this, you can't really please everyone; at the same time, they have to try and please the majority of the players. You made some great points about the switch from Seasonal Characters to modifiers. I am sure they are listening to the community and will drop a patch soon.
theys should had aadd the decent mode setting into teh open world as seasonl character and in the end of season teh reward could had ben the you get to pick any talent even exotic talent and craft one time weapon or armor of you choice and add that talent on top of that you pick teh stat and regular talent and addsocket to it for mod to it but that it you cant duplitate or will not drop on te world and next seaso the same or somethign the it feel rewarding intead of some keychain for backpack
This is exactly it. No matter what the devs do, it's crystal clear that this "community" basically just wants Division 3 & anything except that is going to be met with constant complaining. I really like the new mods though.
Gamers are hard to please in general It's not just the division community. Look at every time a CoD is released.. RUclips is filled with players complaining about everything. Funny thing is that most of the content for division is free and yet its never good enough for some people.
@mevinsmiley5210 To be 💯honest, I doubt Division 3 is going to happen. I'm almost positive that Heartland was finished and Ubisoft pulled it. I don't care what the head of the franchise says about Division 3 being in development or whatever he is saying. He still answers to Ubisoft, and they're a sinking ship.
reading through the comments I haven't seen many positive comments about these modifiers. i think the Devs are lying to themselves thinking this is what the player based wants.
I cannot believe this game is made by Ubisoft, My goodness what an excellent rpg shooter, just bought it on sell and mad at myself for not playing this sooner.
I was really looking forward to the supposed new setting "mastery" I think the devs called it was supposed to be harder than heroic but not as hard as legendary. I think this could have been the sweet spot. I just don't see the setting. I think rewards are not good enough in heroic are legendary. I think better rolls and maxed out mods should drop more frequently. I think exotic should have a specific way to earn them so they can be farmed and drop a little more frequently
The mastery will only be a level in the final mission for the season, this is where you will get a chance. for the exotic chest piece to drop (not sure the drop is guaranteed on the first run).
@ Well, since we don’t really know what it is and how it is would affect the overall game, I say we wait until we see how it is implemented in the final missions of the season, then we will have a good idea. They did not release that mode in the test servers, everything is secretive about it right now.
"Is challenging players always a good thing?". Well, for me it was the opposite of a challenge. To just get through the journey I changed from Heroic difficulty to Hard. Then to complete tasks I bored myself rotten, like sitting at an un-captured SHD crate in the Summit just taking out the gadgets with a pulse, or starting an invaded mission / walking in and killing the tank at close range / walk out / reset mission and repeat 124 more times. Yes, I could have just completed the tasks while just playing the game but I needed to turn the modifiers off to be able to join a random group / countdown without being public enemy #1. Now the journey is complete I have made some builds where the modifiers are really helpful. Just get rid of that reversal thing 🙂
I don't understand the idea of a definitive play style when you play the Division 2. If you've played Div2 long enough, everybody will eventually accumulate multiple builds. These multiple builds naturally fall into different play styles, which means, if you're played long enough, you really don't have one style. So by adding these modifiers, essentially, Div 2 is giving you a chance to use all of your builds. Modifiers hampering your 1-shot sniper build, no worries...switch to your mid-range Striker build. In my opinion, I don't think Div2 is forcing anyone to use a certain type of style, but more like encouraging players to diversify their portfolio's so to speak. There's more to this game than just one type of style, even if you say run-n-gun play style, there's different types of it.
My problem is the rewards are weak. I've completed the journeys and mostly on heroic. My 3 exotics was Acosta go bag, rugged gloves, and a Camille. All half rolled. You can get that from Danny weaver. Oh you get a plan black hunter mask. The rewards are not worth the grind
Yeah it's difficult to fully eveluate the modifier system since it's still experiencing bugs (not surprised). But paired correctly and it will have a huge impact on damage, paired poorly and you're toast, ie; Prime Time against Requittal hostiles no chance. Here are a few bugs I've noticed. So as you know every time you login you have to re-equipt the modifiers, stupid I know, they should make 'Loadouts' so you can save your combos. For the Journey objectives, you can still get credit for the kill just by having the modifier equipped, you don't have to press T (pc), just make the kill in the required range. And the opposite is also true where you don't get credit for the kill even tho it's in the required range. When playing in group, if you deactivate your modifiers but someone in group had theirs active, then you will encounter NPC's with modifiers. The Requittal hostile modifier is the buggiest right now. Sometimes I can kill them at mid range without taking damage and sometimes I take damage in cover even when I'm not shooting. So I still haven't figured out all the combos to give the highest damage. Work in progress.. just like the devs.. lol
Only con to not having modifiers active is not getting the seasonal Journey rewards at tier V and up. I can live with that and I know a lot of others can as well across discord servers the community itself. Even the people using them aren't that thrilled either from what i've talked with them while gaming. It's a waste and nothing about modifiers gives extra rewards themselves outside of the Journey. No extra XP, extra drops, increase rate drops, etc.
@ManaWarGaming Although I do have Warlords of New York on Xbox and PlayStation, I’m not feeling the modifying system, especially having to play the missions in New York! I recognize that many players never even wanted Warlords of New York, so they didn’t buy it when it first came out. So why would they buy it now just for the modifiers? This definitely caused mixed feelings, leaving players out not only from the progression of their agents’ character, gear, weapons, and skills but also from the gaming experience that Division 2 was supposed to deliver on an equal playing field across the Division world. In America, there’s an appreciation for being able to have “options.” Additionally, keeping people engaged in the game seems to be something always hidden behind a wall and candy-coated with promises and the RUclips content creators’ carrot and stick. I’m always team Division. But nonetheless, telling obvious truths and being honest isn’t being negative. It’s about having a positive conversation, pointing out the kinks to maintain the public’s sentiment and positive view in a manner that ensures transparency for all players, not just those who are amping up the game because of the perks given behind the curtain.
Lets be 100% honest. only reason the player base is crying about modifiers is because npc also get modifiers. It showing their builds aren't as good as they believed. Thing is the community as been asking for yr to be stronger and that is what modifiers does then they cry about it.
I'd rather have immune to headshot vs requittal. 90% of engagements happen there. Invisible icons 'keep you on your toes' as they say... Or keep you 🤬 more like it.
Well the Modifiers was for the Seasonal Character at first, but then people just moaned at Ubisoft about this without giving it a go and now they are on our main characters. You are complaining about them and complaining about doing the Journey. Simple just do not do them in the first place, and if you see the season pass/prizes they are around 30% less than we normally have and for the same price. The Modifiers are just a extra difficulty for the game, that's it. Use them or not. The Modifiers on Journey 5, 6 and 7 yes are a pain However they are there to get you into learning to use them and you have 18wks to do them.
Players have been screaming out for new stuff for years.... Consider the modifiers additional mechanics( like a raid or an incursion) ... If you don't want to play with them you just don't get the rewards associated with it. Harden up for a couple of days to get thru the journeys 5-7.. get the loot and turn them off for the next 3 months. Seems simple.
I don't mind modifiers but i don't consider it fresh content. I don't understand how games like no man's sky who gives giant free updates all the time can make money and y'all can't. It's crazy
It's a Luther shooter, so let's add Requital to 90% of the enemies and some shock rounds on 60% of the others to wash it down! In turn, the game is no longer fun. Hazard protection build 98% of the time!
Did you guys play division before the modifiers?? Did you play pvp or pve in a group?? It s a game mechanic. Just like the raid exclusives. You have to grind to get them., If the game didn t innovate, you wouldn t have the player base it has after this many years. You want a regulus??? YOU HAVE TO DO THE IRON HORSE...it s imposed but you re free to do something else. The real issue with the game is the constant nerfing and balancing. You spend dozens of hours of grinding per character to optimize a build then after a patch, you lose 20 percent power, or skill haste, headshot.... that s the problem with division 2. Creaqte problems to solve them, the make bigger problems. The give you the option to max out attributes then give you a picaro s that s stuck in the middle for weapon damage., At lteast fix the esthetics before launching more mechanics that work half the time. I still can t use an armor refill in the summit half the time, or I still get caught in a room if rogues kill me.....fix that to have a complete, reliable experience. Dont worry about new mechanics until the last ones work. Common sense.
And there in lies the problem with live service games. Too much choice. Too many changes. I just wanna play a good game. I don’t need perfection. I don’t need “choice”. Just make a good game.
If you don’t plan on using modifiers post season, the don’t even bother doing any of the season period. I completed all journey missions & got all modifiers & shut them off after completing it. This entire season is whack & not even worth any of it. The 2 exotics are trash, it’s all trash. The Carmine Mask looks nice, but not worth the grind. Trust me y’all (to those who haven’t finished) it’s not worth it lol 😂 Don’t even bother. Just shut it off & play the normal game (if you’re still even playing the game). I do PvP 99% of the time, so the modifiers won’t work anyways. It’s all trash, the WHOLE season that is…
Should have never introduced these modifiers in the first. All its doing is dividing the community and decreasing an already low player base on a 6 year old game smh.
Firstly, noone has to do the journey. You can still play the game as we did previously. For 2 exotics and a mask? So do not do it. If you decide to do it, step out of your pattern groove and try something different just as a change. Yes it's a grind but all players love it or they would not be playing it. A simple formula. This grind is in 80% of ALL games. the Devs had to make some kind of change otherwise players would leave for The First Ascendant or similar looter/shooters
Veterans who played since day 1 really had to grind to lvl up expertise and now you really don't, they changed that either last year or earlier this year.. just fyi
@@SamBrooks-c3t Firstly, comes prior to secondly when one makes more than one point in an explanation. Basic English. I am level 5550, so yeah. Why did they change that? So, new players could come in and have an easier time. Let's face it, for new players you want them on board ASAP so the player numbers increase.
@hussmoosbally8929 no one calls it lvl its shd lmao and so what your point? Do I believe you are, no lol. You sound like you just started playing two months ago lol not a single mention of anything else 😅 I'm SHD 10806 expertise 27 DZ50, there. Did that make any difference to you?? No? Exactly my point. Just numbers after SHD 1000 so nobody cares and if you really played enough to reach "level" 5550 you would know that.. and, new players? New players are so fckin confused they need constant help how to do this how to get that where to go how to make this how to get that etc smh please new players are not even sticking around long enough to learn let alone enjoy the game to an extent till players stop carrying them
I’m not mad I just don’t understand. Division 3 is going to come out around the corner and division 2 has been out for awhile. I have been grinding my ass off for expertise and level ups. Now you give us modifiers!?! WTF?
the modifiers are bs, and yes I have them all. instead of wasting time , and resources on creating them....why couldn't the community get new bounties/missions with a cause & effect aspect. no communication from them or tutorial about them yet you can definitely count on a bundle in the store
We didn't ask for this bs!! We just asked for new missions and more inventory space!!! This game is boring af now same stuff every Week!! Nothing different at any point! Not even the global events r cool anymore its boring
They put all this crap in the game that you have to do to complete the season. But what about us pvp players . They trying to forces us to play pve . So will be no season completion for me
2 different way of play style 2 different end loot 1 perfect high end other just normal don't get me wrong got mine done in a week so waiting for the so called exotic chest piece 😊

Good tip, I got the Strega already, thanks 👍

90% of my clan doesn't even play anymore (me included). They log in on Tuesday, do the manhunt, check out the vendors and bail. We don't even bother with the daily or weekly stuff anymore. Ubi has alienated and turned off everyone who was a casual gamer. The more they try, the more the screw it up.
Truth.
Not to mention all the bugs
I did that for almost 3 1/2 yrs lol
I am the only one in my clan that play since the new season started
If you don't play any more what is the point in logging on just to check the vendor and do a couple of Manhunt missions dumbest comment ever 😂😂😂
If you add modifiers...make an option to only play with others who do or dont have modifiers...dont make it so if the host has them on and you dont now they are on and not only that you cant see the range circle so suddenly you burst 3 mill damage onto a boss and YOU DIE.
Exactly this 👆🏻
This was my biggest question I tried to ask before it came out.
I'm still baffled that the head developer, Yannik, is only 500 SHD... WHAT!?!?
@SCarter02767 because even he can't stand the game.
@@SCarter02767ohh, he is the one on a Livestream, talking about power creep while playing on Challenging 0 directives
And talking about power creep and they are the one who introduced the Expertise system

Wait for the delay/cancelation🤣🤣
things division needs to do to excite players even if for a little while
1. open the dark zone to be PvE Only
2. Allow for raids raid rewards during open matchmaking
3. Make Decent mode have permanent equipment (buy starting equipment)
Yeah, heroic dropping purple gear
And where is the 13PFE🤣🤣
Logging in lately. Whenever i fight a tank enemy, he's not even shooting at me and while I'm shooting at him I'm taking damage. I get downed just by shooting at them. Never got that problem before.
thats the new modifiers
Shit mode also. It’s annoying. Made me go off. They keep ruining the game every single type and yet why do u think Destiny although isn’t on good form still thrives and even till date is announced in game awards.. division devs just do what they want but not what the players want.
The same modifiers they said u didn't have to have one but need it active to finish the season journey
and the modifiers don't even work all the time
Lets eliminate a specific type of enemy with a certain modifier active at a certain range...125 times...
are we having fun yet?
There are plenty of curveballs to deal with when you are simply in a pickup group in heroic, or especially in legendary, add this stuff to it and it becomes a mess, and i end up having to use something like my tank build to save the team, when i dont want to be playing my tank build all the time.
True words!
Just gotta hand it to them, calling it a curveball smh. Like bruh they be sugar coating it and double dipping it...
I just jumped back in after a year off and was surprised about these modifiers. I 100% agree that their should be 2 ways to move forward in the season. I don't mind the modifiers myself but I can see how others wouldn't care to play that way. 2 roads to success with 2 different rewards at the end. I like it.
There’s no dilemma, I turn them off. If I am being jerked around because of it, then I won’t play.
yeah they fk up with this one, alot of players left the game...
Turn your world down to normal just to finish your journey. Then after you finished and want to run open world dial up your world and turn off modifiers. These modifiers actually do significant damage, so it's up to you.
And you can't really turn them off. They are off until someone else turns them on.
Yep, only time they're truly off if you play solo...
Having modifiers on, actually makes head shots hit harder..
So I actually think the way they made it is quite fun.
the problem with those few things that have modifiers is you have to grind that bs. I'm tired of grinding only to get pieces I don't want.
@SprayedPepper I agree with the grinding. Like having to take out 100 snipers with a modifier. If you're in a group, you might find 1 or 2 snipers and your team mates can take them out even if they don't need them and you're better off to grind on your own
Turn off modifiers until you join or someone joins you with season modifiers turned on. Get rid of the modifiers full stop!
I just started playing, so have no idea what you all are talking about. For me it is a great game the way it is.
Not a curveball...they are a spitbill (not allowed).
Right? Talk about sugar coating and double dipping smh..
Why force someone to do something they don’t want to do?…. Modifiers are a great idea but have been implemented poorly. I for one don’t use the modifiers but I did try them out to see how they actually worked.
The modifiers are not bad, I think it’s the enemy modifiers that are the real problem. I play with the modifiers and they have a lot of benefits 👍
The modifiers make you way more powerful and makes the way game easier, as long as you know your way around, spawn points, etc etc
Putting the modifiers into the game is easier than adding new content.
Exactly
They're only deactivated if you're solo. If you play with a buddy who has them turned on then they're on for you as well. If you matchmake and that/those players have them on then they're on regardless of whether you have them off
If they simply remove the ability to inspect other players build this game would be so different and fresh because u will have to learn on your own
Now that. My friend, honestly would be a game changer for pvp..
And definitely pve.
Over 20 gear sets and everyone is running the same setup.
@@Sammydreddi for real its so dumb
Look I’ve almost completed journey mission 7 at this point… the modifiers are annoying but aren’t all too bad! They keep you on your toes and force you to adapt your play style! I enjoy them actually as I have changing my builds and trying different options getting me out of the one build to use all the time! They work!
Yeah I agree
Its sad...
They were heading in the right direction with The Division Heartland, but that was scraped! I think they may need a bigger team of developers.
@@ManaWarGaming Idk. Extraction shooters are very niche. It would be fine if that was it's own game mode within the greater Division ecosystem, but as a direction for the franchise and a standalone game...probably not good.
@@mavven2882 Totally agree! would have been something new added to the game.
@@ManaWarGaming no way.. division heartland was not heading near a good way. more im hoping for division 3.
That Strega assault rifle is fire!!
Same here, that new content is needed!
somehow they'll screw that up as well.
@@SprayedPepper If the DLC is similar to WONY, then it's worth the wait. If it's just a re-skin of Brooklyn, then it might only be a distraction for a few days.

Good job guys you hit my feelings on this game that has been this way much longer than just the modifiers

The enemies have modifiers too.
@@ManaWarGaming ouch... No wonder, everytime i hit enemy i got dmg as well😂😂
it's a modifier, the one with the snake on it. If shooting from the wrong distance you yourself will get return damage.
Best Division Plays were the Closed and open Betas in Darkzone ,back then DEVs were Passionate and True Gamers and they Truly Delivered D1
WOW new to your channel I'll like to say this script was well executed and written major congrats I'll definitely subscribe, you just earned a fan
I’m on journey 7 some of the modifiers are honestly super great and some are truly bad. I think they need to tweak the journeys like 200 headshots with x modifier active is to many maybe cut it all in half so it’s not such a chore.
The journey is supposed to last the 21 weeks of the season. It's currently week 4, if you are on part 7, it's clearly not enough of a chore.
I turned mine off at stage 4, do not plan on using them ever.
The one thing I’ve been hating about modifiers if you have them disabled and a random player joins you and they have modifiers one the all the enemies will have their modifiers active leaving you no way to counter them
really hate the modifier, you always make the player feel weak, everything its so limited, the lack of vault space limit also the amount of builds.
I have well over 3000 hrs on this game, and 2.0 has me very close to shutting it down.
Agreed
Major. Fail.
You couldn't said it better than that. That's the friggin truth.
Ubisoft new released monetary scheme in this game is predatory, I’m out till the new dlc IF comes maybe
@@ManaWarGaming I would like to see mastery added to the game..
I'm fine with them trying something big and different, but they're going to have to fail a couple of times before they get it right.
Funny thing is... selecting shd exposed global event disables the modifiers
I agree! that hunter mask was so dry!
💯
@@ManaWarGaming at least they gave us a mask.. we used to only get a patch and the devs called it a day
@@jpegjared True words!!
Yannick is for The Division 2 what Jerry Jones is for The Dallas Cowboys .
It's a total waste when you could just put the difficulty on hard or challenging level and live like a GOD
Work in progress.. just like the devs.. lol
Hopefully these bugs will be addressed in the next update.
IV UNINSTSALLED... IM DONE..... I WIL NOT BE BUYING DIVISION3
My journey is done . Got the mask . Modifiers off.
Only issue I have with modifiers and the journey is you can’t really play with your friends
Many Division 2 players don't have the warlords of New York and won't e able to proceed with the journey!
I think it still cost like 30 bucks?
Thing is the community as been asking for yr to be stronger and that is what modifiers does then they cry about it.
the enemy modifiers are definitely a concern, but there are ways and counters around them.
What rewards a stupid mask and a couple of exotics thats not a reward its a joke.
It’s all trash, the WHOLE season that is…
What everyone is saying is true… it’s a choir and it’s forced, I’m starting to lose interest smfh😢
Firstly? Really, smh.
You sound very new lol.
So will be no season completion for me
It’s totally not a catch 22, do I care to finish the journey? No. I’m a PvP player. Once I got my exotics I was done lol
LOL! That is one way to look at it! Majority of players want to actually play the Journey.
They lost a lot of players this season
Plus nobody do all that farming just to get the same stuff they already have in their stash
This modifiers thing being MANDATORY to complete the journey system is too much for me...close to putting the game down until Brooklyn...
Just give us a zombie mode, kently college is perfect for it
I'll be on my 4th day looking for a war hound convoy
Did you try resetting your map?
Reroll or quit the objective
Yes , I reset my control points and then took over everything in foggy bottom hoping for a war hound convoy but alas none. Day 5. I will reroll.
2 different way of play style 2 different end loot 1 perfect high end other just normal don't get me wrong got mine done in a week so waiting for the so called exotic chest piece 😊
