A video of you two playing eachother started autoplaying while i was asleep like a week ago, woke up and watched a bit before dozing off again, and wished I had subbed or checked what your channel name was because I wanted to watch more. Turns out just searching more battletech stuff eventually gets you guys to show up again!
So just starting battletech...good video. I beleive you said you either get Total War or Battlemech book. So Total War includes everything in Battlemech book? That was been a point of confusion for me.
Hi guys, love your videos. I was wondering about the 3D hex hills you are using in your battles. Are they 3d printed, hand-made out of xps foam or wood, or bought from a company? I would love to duplicate what you use for my games.
Thanks for commenting celticgriffin. The boys are going to do one better for you and make a 'Pimp My Mech' video focused on the 3D terrain soon. Until then enjoy the channel.
Thanks for your comment Brad. It rates pretty high if you are a player you wants to play a long time campaign with in depth tracking. BattleTech can be as complex as you want it.👍
The crappy thing about all of the BT source and rule books is many have overlap and some have gaps. It is very hard to buy efficiently. Total Warfare should have everything, but doesn't. The Technical Readouts are a mess and the new releases are poorly-implemented at best, and outright money-grabs at worst.
Battletech draws you in with the mechs but seems like it might be the most comprehensive wargamming rules set for all types of warfare
In some old manuals standing in water gives you -1 which can change games quite a lot
I got the Battletech Manual for last Christmas, and that sparked the purchase of all three boxed sets.
Thanks for this! One of the great things about Battletech is the vast amount of rule books. The bad thing is finding out which ones you need.

That's awesome! Enjoy watching our videos mate.
Just picked up interstellar ops, so stoked to run a campaign with my buddies!
Just got into the game thanks for the help beyond the main box set!
Glad we could help Morgan. Enjoy the rest of the videos on our channel.👍

I was actually wondering about this exact thing as your video popped up, Battletech has become a new fascination for me.
Thanks, gents. Been playing since FASA was a thing and this is useful as I try to update myself to the new gubbins.
I like picking up mech record sheets books to add to my collection.
I love Tarrons shirt 👊
The battletech manual is four mechs? What if I want to run more than four mechs?
Thank you, guys! This was very informative and helped me out as a new player.
Welcome to BattleTech MasterJediDude and thanks for taking the time to watch our channel.👍

where does campaign operations rank on your list?

Great video. Thanks guys.
Thanks StigmaNYC. Glad you found us and we were helpful.
Just found your videos! I was wondering are any of these books redundant? I mean are some rules or states repeated between the books?
Welcome to the channel! Total Warfare and BattleTech Manual share similar rules. If you have to choose go with Total Warfare.👍
Thanks guys, lot of cool stuff here.
Glad you enjoyed it Andross and welcome aboard.
The correct answer is, all the books. :)
Also visit solariskunkwerks, i cant overpraise how usefull their tool is
