before my mom retired from California, she applied for dual citizenship in the Philippine Embassy, bought a house in Manila (Taguig -where BGC also is), and is now staying there. i think it’s better if you get a house and lot if you plan to stay for a long time in the Philippines. great video!

Just realized Filipinos really like to party. They always have lots of food on the table on Fiestas. We used to have town fiesta back home in Pag-asa, Quezon City every year for Our Lady of Hope.
I know exactly where Nelvine got his humor. His Mom is so much fun and down to earth. Filipinos are really creative and talented. Look at those bands. They were all in very nice outfit. Food is everywhere served to welcome and please everybody. Here in the US we celebrate Thanksgiving Day, but not too fancy like that. No town fiesta here.
Right? Nelvine got his jokes from his Nanay🤪They’re both so hilarious. And now Knox and Nia are getting to be super silly too.

Check out Ati-Atihan festival in Kalibo! Nights are the best time to go. You can join the parade and dance along.🎉🎉 I enjoy watching this channel all the way from Cali. ♥
My husband flew all the way from Los Angeles to Manila and he’s still there in the Philippines right now. He went to Kalibo for Ati-Atihan and celebrate their feast of Sto. Nino (baby Jesus) in January. Fiesta in Kalibo, Aklan is celebrated each year.

#6 final home was beautiful, American style for sure, the A B & B was certainly better than most you
will get stuck with. That was a win or loss since you didn't get to enjoy it. So much food every where. During
our first 2 or 3 trips to the PH, early 80's, mom's friends (wife ) her co-teachers would want us to come by on
the last day for a meal, really, the day we need to be sure to pack everything and 3 family's want us to come and
eat.
I wish we had stayed longer but we had lots to do, people to see and food to eat🤪

I love the lechon left overs and cook them into something like lechon paksiw, Adobo, Sinigang, menudo(instead using more of the tomato sauce i use the liver sauce and small amount of banana ketchup to make it more authentic filpino dish) because the BBQ aroma makes the taste of the ordinary menu will take the menu into another level

Mom Duty, it was a tradition of all Filipinos to visit every household and eat their food for every relative you visited, especially fiesta. So whenever you attend barrio fiesta, make sure you have a big appetite. And make room for each house you visited or they will get upset or make tampo😊😊
Haha. Now I now. I should’ve fasted the day before🤭lol. We still ate though. All the home cooked food was sooooo good. One thing for sure is that we will never go hungry in the Philippines 🇵🇭
