Watch as we take the world's first N54 "Single Turbo setup" E46 to get tuned. We come across some wiring issues that at the beginning of the day. Later we find out that the injectors that come with DOC Racing intake manifold kit are not big enough to produce the power. Let's see what we can do about that!

Keep on eye on the di injectors. They are designed to be cooled by the fuel flowing through them. They could get too hot 🔥.

This is honestly the craziest thing I’ve seen done to a n54 I got one myself and I’m honestly bout to start stripping everything out of it in my back yard just wish I had the funds for the parts anyways would love to see more things like this

What’s wrong with having a 2jz in e46 though?
ESR's are SO heavy. Had them on my 540i for a year before going for Cosmis Racing XT-206r's. The 18x11's weigh less than ESR 18x9.5's 😂. Love the build tho.

That is some sick ass shit. If I had the cash I would do your set up on my 2002 E46 M3 Convertible. I did mod to my diff upped it to 391 gears.

I need an N54/5 in my M3 STAT
If you have the pcv vta, did you plug the head ports and do a pcv delete? That’s the only way to make it work. If not, you need vacuume on the pcv system for it to work properly and not smoke

Was getting a IS for the dct n54 combo And was thinking about doing a e92 m3 swap. I love the e46 and was even thinking about doing it over the v8 model while watching this(more nimble) but it just doesn’t look like it has enough cleaence. Currently 3 year owner of a 09 e92 n54 mt and don’t plan on switching platforms for a while

The FD Pro2 season as well as a few other projects have taken up quite a bit of time!

budgetbimmers had a single turbo N54 in an E90a couple of years ago putting down over 500. so what's the improvement on this? E46 chassis? better platform i think anyway, at least in stock form for handling.

I know I'm a year late but, did you guys end up plugging the DI ports in the head, because I know that if there is no fuel going through the injectors they actually melt
Hope you'll see this! I am wanting too convert my E46 with an N54 but can I go twins too keep it a simple reliable build or was it that much easier too have a single in the front?
It varies, you can keep stock twins and use the stock ecu but it would involve a lot more electrical/ wiring difficulties getting everything that works with the factory ecu to work. Using single turbo, we converted it to standalone and deleted direct injection for port injection

The injectors are not bad, rather pretty good. Even the hpfp is berally a problem. Where all the real problems are, are in the dme.
1VETaLEK2 you are right , the DME is trash , therefore we ditched it for a simpler and more tunable platform like the AEM infinity

Suppose you wouldn’t give out ECU information and wiring, want to pull the drive train out of my 335 and put in an old C10 for daily driveing
Its fairly simple, the motor is full AEM stand alone with aem sensors. All wired up! Next swap we do we'll work on adapting stock harness

Man this is my DREAM car! I have a N54 335Xi and a E46 M3. But ultimately The dream would be to pluck the S54 out of the M3 and put it into a E30. Pluck the N54 out of the 335 and put it into the E46. That would be the best of the cars abilities and the engines best chassis fit and match IMHO. LOL. Also this N54 in the video has got to be the BEST SOUNDING N54 I've ever heard! Well the one that Dan from "Zero to 60" and his swapped out E46 M3 N54 car as well sounds a lot like this one! So Smooth and FROTHY!! LOL.

Very similar fitment since its a slant 6 motor and bmw transmission.

Will it run correctly now that it only runs port injection ? I mean the head and everything is not designed to run port injection only. The fuel and air won't mix as good as it should that's for sure.

The first dyno of 175hp is on par with most m3's so the n54 should outshine m3 engines once past 1500rpm lol.
BLR N54 most M3s make 175hp in what universe?

BLR N54 where do you get that from? E36 M3’s made like 240-250 in the US and the E46 made 333.
My bone stock 325is M50 made 160. Someone fibbed to you buddy lol
Car has been back to dyno with bigger injectors and it made 650hp without any hesitation , we will have updated videos up soon

First single turbo setup! All we see is stock swaps. We run the largest N54 swapped BMW group on facebook, everyone is in there. So its safe to say we are first!
