I had two of these and both had the same problem : battery drain. they make this with a mono jack input when it should have a stereo one to cut the battery when you unplug the cable.
Its a Big help already Sir I wanted to upgrade my JB guitar by buying those things maybe we haven't try to a real bass guitar to test the sound quality to determine the sound effects when turning those knobs
For those wondering. Controls are the following: First stacked knobs are volume and passive tone control, second knob is balance, third is mid sweep, final stacked knobs are bass on bottom and treble on top
Out one of these in my Jazz Bass ($29). Went in easily, sounds great, but ... active treble control doesn't work. Not going to start sending it back to China. I could probably live without treble boost and just use the passive tone control, but may try to figure out what's wrong. I'm mainly a tube amp guy, but should be able to follow a simple solid state filter circuit.

Luke - If the third knob is "mid sweep" (parametric freq center for mid?), how do you control the mid cut/boost?

Penso que no a aterramento. I do not think a ground is needed with this unit. But I could be wrong.
