Here, in the Middle East, you can find W220 S Classes with the V8s for less than 3000 pounds. My uncle bought a W220 S-Class and he said he never had as much fun driving a Merc than he did with his other cars
Mate just scrapped mine what a weapon that thing was refused to die on me and being the estate the thing narf had some torque, never replace that car man
Great list as always! Those S80s really do run forever with basic maintenance. Gotta say though I think the X6 (and all crossover "coupes" for that matter) are some of the ugliest vehicles on the road!
Have owned a Maserati quattroporte since 2014, a 2008 GTS They do cost a lot to maintain if you use a main dealer, but a few specialists about who can literally halve the costs to a more manageable level, the parts are still high though especially trim parts and brake discs and pads It’s cost me around £1200 per year to maintain inclusive of tyres (4 sets rear, three front) as slightly later cars are two year service intervals so every other year is often almost free other than an mot and insurance
Shout out for the Volvo S80 D5. Currently sitting on 230,000 miles and still going strong. Ive owned it for over 100k miles and have only needed to replace brake disks and belts. The premium sound system in the Volvo kicks my A7's bose system's ass, by an agricultural mile. Safe, quick and comfy. Bullet of a car
Thanks for your meticulously researched lists! I'd pick the Quattroporte. I think my realistic ideal garage would be a Porsche Boxster as a daily for short trips, country driving and the track, a Quattroporte or Jag for the luxury on longer trips and for hauling larger items/hauls and friends, and a 4x4,maybe a Porsche Cayenne.
Can't go wrong with the boxster. I saw one person selling a straight one for £3500 which is really cheap for a 2 seater Porsche. The cayenne I'd be careful with as I've heard it's a money pit.
My company has a max age limit for our cars of 6 years old, which whilst nice and all, it means I can't just buy something better value at a lower point on it's depreciation curve. Love the look of some of these motors
Glad you have the jag xjl in at 3rd, as I have recently brought one at £9800 for a 2011 with 100k and top spec portfolio with rear entertainment and massage seats definitely the most luxurious Surprised to get lexus 600h at this price point and did expect to see a bmw 7 series in your list But for me as value for money, driving enjoyment and reasonable maintenance cost it has to be jag 1st
@@serenityinside1 agree, i guess that’s why the are cheap, expensive to run. Fuel not too bad get over 40mpg on a long run. I budgeted £1k per year for service and repairs
Interesting that the A7 didn't have many reported issues- the C7 A6 that's basically the same car was What Car's 2021 least reliable car in the entire survey. 12th worst in 2022, presumably because all the really awful ones died completely 😄 My Dad's one has been mostly ok though, to be fair. The Citroen is the car I get most excited about seeing from those on this list, but I'd have the Jag. The Lexus interior doesn't do it for me, otherwise I'd be a big fan.

Your dad got an S class from the Middle East for £3,000 now that’s amazing
I had a 57 plate Citroen C6 when it was about 18 months old. Truly amazingly different car. Truly amazingly unreliable too.

Audi A7 from this list for me, unless i've had a few beers and logged onto Ebay then it's the Maserati with red leather.
It would be great to see a list of sporty avant/estate ulez compliant vehicles for up to 15 or 20k 😁

A luxury Skoda ... what an oxymoron! Nice vid, though, JB, as some of these are spot on 👍.

Just when I made my mind up on my car. You delivery quality again... Maserati is looking good.
Nice video! I noticed you were showing a white Skoda Octavia estate instead a a Superb though.
Hi. Can you do a video on best cars on bumpy roads? Like London roads? Saloons only please
Description needs changed to the right time stamps but great video again mate 👍
Can you make one for proper off roaders? Please. Want a cheap proper off roader (Wrangler etc)
Thanks for the video I have always enjoyed your take on these vehicles.
I would love to see a video on cars at £15k, 20K, 30K
Thank you in advance

Good look with the repair bills. Clutches , turbos on the diesels etc etc. Running costs, especially fuel = £££ .
Not a well made car sadly 😯

Phaeton was spoken of as the best made car in the world.
Really underrated yet beautiful car
What about ulez charges?
You really need to make sure you avoid the Duo gearbox in the Maserati, or you'll be looking at a new clutch every 9000 miles. 😭

I don’t like the ad part. But decent compilation. The Maserati is so unreliable that it’s really not a great idea to buy it.
