I'm seeing a lot of bullet journalers move over to notion and subsequently stop doing monthly spread videos. If you start going that direction I hope you still take time for painting every month, and selfishly that you'll share those with us ☺️
I don’t think I could ever go completely digital, though I’m sure how I use my bullet journal will continue to change as it has for the past almost 10 years! Writing tasks down by hand has always been my go-to ❤️
Because this is YOUR journal and it is about YOUR life, I do not believe any of your viewers are in a position to selfishly judge what spreads are included in YOUR journal. I like how you plan. I like how are flexible and creative enough to change out what is not what is not working for you for the spreads that really do work for you. I personally like your new spreads look like and how you are able to work them, use them, in your new life. Congratulations on the new house. Your beautiful creativity in your house is so wonderful to see.💚💚💚
As someone who kind of abandoned my bullet journal during some mental health stuff, it helps me feel less alone to see other bullet journals that are still beautiful with some blank pages or incomplete spreads 💜
I think july and your 2nd December are my favorite! But all your themes inspired me a lot! Your plan with me videos are usually the moment i take to plan my bujo as well!
Thanks so much for this one. My brain just took a deep breath...ahhhh. Imperfection: living our lives, using tools that work, and switching them up when they aren't currently serving us- this is what a bullet journal was designed for. It's not just about the pretty. The creative outlet is wonderful, but the tool itself is about our goals. This was the best flip-through to remind me of all that ❤️
I skipped setting up my weekly spreads in the beginning of the month altogether. My 2020 BuJo was the most beautiful regarding the artwork, but I found it depressing to have blank spaces on days where I simply didn’t, or didn’t have the time to plan anything, or on the other hand have no space to write about my day or thoughts because I only had the space I marked out before. I now only do a cover page and a monthly overview in the beginning of each month and leave the pages behind that completely blank, so I can set up a day only when I need to (which sometimes leads to me not setting up a day for five days in a row) and having as much space as I need, for example for writing a diary entry. I’m really happy with the way I’m doing it now, although it isn’t as artsy anymore as my previous bujos
I love that! I did dailies for years and really liked them but right now weeklies work a bit better for my life (even if they’re empty sometimes!) I’m glad you’ve found soemthing that works for you ❤️
It happens to all of us that sometimes there is no power to use bujo I prefer daily over weekly. I know that many people prepare all month in one sitting and than they only are puting task this may solve your issue with more busy spreads and no time. And my favorite theme is this Birdy at the end
I always love you're flip throughs, they're so calming to me and I love to see your actual use of your BuJo. And I especially appreciate you being honest about the non perfect sides of it! ☺️✨
This was just the video I needed to watch, it's comforting to see that you don't always fully fill in your spreads or continue going full out decorating mode. Currently I'm behind on my physical bujo, due to my visit to the US to meet my boyfriend I made a digital bujo in Notion temporarily to avoid bringing too much. Well... we're halfway through March, and I am writing all the digital entries into my physical book. I wish I could just let it go, make it quick and not bother with the coloring or simple character doodle but.. it would feel incomplete. And for the 3 months I've used the DigiBujo I just hate keeping track of it, it's not the same as doing it in my bujo. Hoping to catch up (currently doing February ;w;) as I miss using my daily bujo for my tasks and projects as I've become a very scatterbrained, forgetful mess ;^;
"Spreads gone on retirement", such an adorably cute way of putting it! I don't mind "throwing spreads out" (my Dutch directness is such a contrast haha), but I think your soft way of putting it- and calm way of explaining that a BuJo is for -personal- use, may help a lot of journalers to stand strong in setting their bujos up differently if things don't work for them anymore.
Hi, love the filp throughs, and it's amazing to see the half-done weeklys, I've got so many empty pages, so it def makes me feel better. But I wanted to comment regarding the post-its. I've changed my planning method (used to mostly do digital planning for hourly or weekly spreads) but have noticed the post-its w the weeklies work better. What I've been trying to do is fit the weeklys to the post its, so that each day can fit one post-it. It's unnecessary but it helps bc sometimes, I will plan ahead with the post-its.Idk, it was really interesting seeing someone have a pile post-its in their journal as well, so I wanted to share my experience. Love the channel ❤
This video was soooo good! My favorite theme was July because I love the contrasting colors but I keep going back to the October set up video because the vibes are just immaculate. Thank you for sharing!
We've been blessed with a Yoda cameo! 🖤 I love your kanban board idea, and I'm grateful to have that tool in the toolbox. Being upset about a creator taking out a spread from their setup is such a weird mindset to me, and I hope those individual(s) are able to expand their perspective. It's just as helpful to see why a spread is no longer useful to someone, and see how they address that. I can be a bit feast-or-famine with my planner usage, so I have my 2 monthly spreads (calendar and trackers mainly) and do weekly task lists + dailies of wildly varying length as I go. The next daily starts right below the previous one. When I get close to the end of the month, I add the next monthlies on the next 2 blank spreads, and that means some dailies often end up going before/after the month they belong to. I've had to learn to let go of my desire for a clean/fixed structure, but it's enabled me to have a quicker/lightweight process that prioritizes using up pages as much as possible (I realized wasted pages bothered me more anything else, AND that's not going to be true for everyone).
To be honest, I really liked the first December theme and lived the color scheme 😅 Guess everybody's different! In my opinion, your themes are always beautiful!
The only things I try to keep on theme are the monthly spreads. I do dailies so, keeping each to fit my mood has proven to be effective in making sure I use them. Plus there's nothing wrong with retroactively adding some washi tape or stickers or a little bit of art a day or a few weeks later.
I think I like the August and October theme the most, mostly because of the tea stained paper and the dracula inspiration. Although all of your themes are amazing✨ Lovely video as always🌿
I haven't been in your discord for a while and it has been interesting going "Where are Elizabeth vids?!" I've been so curious how you've been doing and how life and bullet journal has evolved. I recently started getting Notion to work for me after trying to use it at least a year ago. It might start replacing more and more of my Bujo, but like you, hand writing tasks really works for me so it won't go away completely. I sense my next journal in June/July will be a big rehaul lol
This is random, but I just wanted to say your audio mixing is superb! It sounds like your music is happening in the background in the room with you. Maybe that's what you did, but knowing what I know about recording, I doubt it? Either way, it's lovely and satisfying to listen to.
I know this is very much not around when this video came out… But have you considered daily pages? Since you use post it’s a lot i feel sometimes just a full daily of half a page per day would help (instead of just the weekly) maybe?
Lizzie, i'm trying to use Notion in my profesional and personal planning. Could you make a video about that kanban method at the app? I'm completely lost on it... Thanks! ❤️
It was quite affirmative to watch you not use every single spread or not make every page pretty because some time due to one reason or another i don't make my bujo pretty or not use and then I feel like shit. So thanks

thank you elizabeth for your honesty. Your work is. beautiful.
I love that your nails match the journal here! 😍
It was unintentional but I was tickled while editing 😂❤️
My favorite theme was definitely the lemon one in July💛💚💙✨
🍋🍋🍋
I think july and your 2nd December are my favorite! But all your themes inspired me a lot! Your plan with me videos are usually the moment i take to plan my bujo as well!
So glad you like them! It’s nice to think of y’all planning along with me 🥰

I’m so glad it resonated with you! It can be difficult to remember sometimes but it can be such a relief to let go ❤️

I'm glad you showed us the first attempt for december! I personally really like it, even more than your final version☺️
Oh wow, thanks! I guess that’s another reminder I’m too hard on myself when it comes to art 😂❤️
If you launched you own bullet journal line with all them beautiful spreads I'd definitely buy! So many amazing spreads.
August and October are my favorites out of the second half of 2022
I love those ones, too!
This is really cool, Elizabeth! I never heard of bullet journaling. Thanks for the lesson!
The birds.... we liked the birds a lot! :)

Aw thank you! I’m definitely not perfect at using my bullet journal but it works for me and I couldn’t imagine life without it ❤️
Wow, it’s fun to see all of that gorgeous artwork all at once!
I love your videos so much!!! I think September is my favourite of these. Your art is so inspiring!
Thank you so much! ❤️❤️

I love September, October, November, and December best, but the others are nice too.

Thank you for sharing with us your personal BuJo😊
Thank also for helping us feeling less lonely when we don’t use the BuJo rules
We’re all just doing what works for us day to day, right? ❤️
liked the spreads and the artwork, but really only dropped a like for the kitty XD
🥰🥰
tyfs!

I loveee how your nails match the journal in this
Haha thanks! I didn’t realize they were such a good match until I sat down to film 😂❤️
I loved your October! And of course the chickadees were beautiful.
Thank you so much!
To be honest, I really liked the first December theme and lived the color scheme 😅
Guess everybody's different!
In my opinion, your themes are always beautiful!
Haha fair enough! ❤️
Awww- I really like the first December cover page. The homes are too cute! 🥰🥰
Aw thanks 🥺 I was so sad when I finished it and it didn’t look the way I’d wanted!
I do the exact same thing. I plan to do a very decorative month. Then I do not even finish the first page.
The only things I try to keep on theme are the monthly spreads. I do dailies so, keeping each to fit my mood has proven to be effective in making sure I use them.

Your bujos are gorgeous! 😍 I love love a bujo flip through videos ✨
Thank you! Me too ❤️
Oh, that beautiful August goddess theme
I know this is very much not around when this video came out… But have you considered daily pages? Since you use post it’s a lot i feel sometimes just a full daily of half a page per day would help (instead of just the weekly) maybe?
I wonder if just doing a single more intricate thing on each weekly page done when you set up could look cool and not super time consuming.
Thank you for showing us your imperfect perfect Bullet journal ❤❤❤ I love seeing filled in spreads 😊✨ I am hoping for another Star Trek theme soon 😍
Aw thanks! I’ve been wondering how I could do a Star Trek theme in a new way and so far nothing has come to me 😅❤️
GOOD job ❤
Lizzie, i'm trying to use Notion in my profesional and personal planning. Could you make a video about that kanban method at the app? I'm completely lost on it...
Thanks! ❤️
I need that mail polish in my life. Please share
Tolles Video 👍
Me watching how Elizabeth talked about that beautiful initial December theme when I can't draw for the life of me:
Aw haha it was really the colour scheme that I wasn’t happy with 😅❤️
@@PlantBasedBride I still believe it looked absolute stunning and warm!!🥰
🌿🌽🌼 great vid!
Thank you! ❤️
It was quite affirmative to watch you not use every single spread or not make every page pretty because some time due to one reason or another i don't make my bujo pretty or not use and then I feel like shit. So thanks

The changing the views is annoying and a horrible idea.
Feedback is appreciated but rudeness is not.
You should check out our new hood lambs hoodie but it did get renamed to fresh hemp:)
