- Sauron (Charlie Vickers), in his Annatar form, introduces the idea of creating The Nine Rings for Men to Celebrimbor (Charles Edwards), however he is met with less enthusiasm than expected.
It makes sense that Sauron would personally make the nine rings for Men since they will result in the creation of his strongest and deadliest servants: the Nazgul!

it was never stated in tolkiens writing that any of the rings of power were, in the beginning, intended for a specific race. Sauron's target as Annatar were the elves, men and dwarves he didn't really consider. only after the elves rose against him and thwarted his plans did he wage war against them, reclaim some of the rings (the 9 and the 7) and distributed them to men and dwarves, as a kind of 'next best thing' ... this storyline is very far away from tolkien's original story, even though I like that they picked up the second age.

Celibrimbor wants the Power only to his kind. How scared and unaccepteful he is of a thought of power given to the humans! True arrogance of the elves.
why the elf looks so wrinkly like gordon ramsay arent they supposed to be flawless
I believe Cirdan is an exception because he is the oldest Elf in Middle-earth. I'm not sure about Celibrimbor though. He is also very old, but I don't think he is older than Galadriel or Elrond, for example. So yeah, interesting casting choice.
@@somebody4763maybe all the forging and physical labor he’s done has made him age quicker, he is younger than Galadriel
@sauronsring Yes, but they basically equal the status of a god and demigod. So in my opinion it makes even more sense that they look young. In addition, Sauron is of course a shapeshifter so his Annatar form is not real. But I think you mean his Mairon form in the prologue, which is also young.
They definitely messed up with the casting choice for Celebrimbor and Elrond. Terrible

But yes you are correct, when he presents himself without any disguise or pretense, it’s usually the image of a dark lord

Tolkien's version of events is much, much better. They probably should have just stuck with that...
They couldn't. They don't have the rights they need and yet they decided to make a show about the second age and chose the worst and most disrespectful writers ever. Believe it or not, I still enjoy watching the series for the sake of it being Middle-earth, the visuals and music. But I'm really annoyed by the bad dialogue, plot holes and uninteresting characters that I can't sympathize with.
I like it how it is. This music is awsome, I like the most of the actors and I believe the series is going better and better over the time.

@@redbarchetta8782 Tolkiens writing will always be superior to the writers of this show. They could have done a lot better but made a lot of poor choices.
