That was so much fun Freddie, clearly something wrong with the timing equipment at the Kart track lol! Love the ending with Monica bringing enough food for a small herd of cows, those cats will hardly be able to walk after eating all of that. I am really going to miss your Tenerife adventures and after being in Gran Canaria earlier this year I really want to come back and visit for an extended period. Can you both do a ‘pro’s and con’s’ of living in Tenerife before you move on, it would be very interesting and it would be nice to know how the overall cost of living compares with the UK. As always, thank you both for one of the best channels on RUclips.

Nice one for feeding the cats. I've done the Calais to Barcelona trip a few times. The toll roads can be expensive. Pyrenees are great though. Suggest wearing Hi Viz though to be on the safe side. Regards

Too bad your Tenerife time is almost up. This was an enjoyable blast round the Go-Kart trak and obviously quite amusing for Monica as you "awarded" yourself top prize before entering! Pride come before a fall though as it inevitably did compounded by losing/scratching your iPhone. However Monica must win top prize as cat lover of the year. I must confess to being dog lover though and feeding stray cats just encourages them albeit very laudable, so well done Monika for displaying the goodness of your heart. But I would not get the same prize! Hope your Barcelona trip goes well Freddie and look forward to next adventures. Renault4 vs 2cv vs Fiat Panda - top award goes to the Fiat Panda, which although foreign junk at least goes and have driven the Fiar Panda from Manchester to Scotland at occasionally 85 mph. The rest are just spare parts for a T72 tank and probably end up like one as well - towed from the battlefield by a Ukrainian tractor..

Monika is very sweet.... And I'm amazed she keeps smiling when you keep kicking her off the bike to climb up a random hillside to get 3 seconds of you riding past to hike back to the bike!

Can't believe your time has almost come to an end, great video, but looking forward to seeing your solo trip updates. I rode to Biarritz solo, loved it but it did rain all the way, the next day after arriving the sun came out and I spent 10 glorious days there before returning home. I'm sure you'll love it, nice rest for Monica too 😁👍
That sounds great (apart from the rain of course😆🌧). I did look at Biarritz too, funnily enough (Wheels and Waves).

No question about the car. My second car was a 2CV in geranium red, absolutely brilliant ride and great ventilation. My grandmother loved it as the rear bench seat was at bum height and with her dodgy hip she could just swing into it and the suspension - so soft. Easy to work on, just unbolt the body panels.
Only drawback was the hard bar in the middle of the rear bench seat, a little uncomfortable when lying across it, get my drift.

Sad to be coming to the end of the Tenerife videos, but glad you've both had a good time there and have shown me some of the stuff I've missed out on not making it there. With the classics, has to be the 2CV for me, always had a soft spot for them.

The homeless in my area often run outta food for their dogs, well me and wifey cannot bare that so we hand out 5lb. bags of food and a little pocket change for the owner. Really enjoy your vids Freddie, I really like your focus on bikes and gear mixed with non-bike material. It brings back memories of a road trip to Holland in my old Renault 4.. never ever had a cars windows steam up so much, full of quirkiness but great fun.

I’m glad i’m not alone- I still for some reason can’t shake the thought that I’m a really good Go Karter, although I’ve never finished in the top three in my life!
The same thing happened to me when I went go karting with some work mates, (most of them younger than me) I thought my competitiveness and experience would see me through. No, I came last. Later, I worked out why this happened - I was heavier than all the others - no acceleration out of the corners! 😅😅😅

15:07 As a passenger in all three cars I'd have to say the Panda was by far the most modern and civilized, the 2CV the most antiquated and agricultural, especially the angle of roll on corners and the Renault 4 probably the most stylish.

Love how you have no qualms about tasks unbecoming ( Monika laugh, laugh). I drove my wife's brother in law's Renault 4 from Madrid to Gerona back in the 70s. Not a cat person but bless her heart. What everyone wants....Not just food .... a loving home to live in...
I priced up how much the C-Bow system would be in Thailand. About 80 per cent more. Boots with zips: no way. I was always a fan of the Renault 4. And of course, the 2CV6 and Dyane. And then you mention the Fiat Panda. I'd suggest the Lada Niva and the Suzuki Jimny instead of the Panda.

Used to drive a Renault 4 pick up for work (yes I am that old) with the gear stick coming out halfway up the dash. An absolute hoot to drive and the gearchange which seemed odd was super easy to live with.

A tour through Europe is an absolute dream of mine. I'm pretty jealous. However, I've been to Lithuania with my basketball team before. We visited a friendly team during the 2011 European Championship and watched some games. We lived in Silute. We only met nice people like Monika in this beautiful country.

Great film, really enjoyed the sunshine and the music. Freddie, you remind me of those old catalogue models in tank tops who were always pointing to the horizon in "relaxed" poses. You have a good eye for biking gear but I think motorcycle boots are a pointless rip-off. Just buy some ordinary boots and save a fortune. No one needs toe or instep reinforcement for the gear lever - it's just a gimmick to justify silly prices! Anyhow, rant over. Will be sorry to see you and Monika leaving Tenerife. After the summer why not relocate to southeast Spain where they used to shoot the spaghetti westerns? Great geography and more scope for rides (and films) to interesting places than a small island. If I was in your position I think that's where I'd head for. You could also do some trail riding in the mountains (I'm sure one of the manufacturers will lend you a bike - you'll have 60k+ subscribers by then!) And I believe it's a good region for cats, so Monika will have something to do. No charge for the life coaching - cheers! Renault 4 all the way.
Always watch the race before yours...that way you can spot the fastest cart! Then grab it for your race....

Is that a Bonneville ? Those things runs forever, if you trust the Triumphrats forum. Your battery must have been low. Mine always went straight up until I traded it for my beloved Street Twin !
