Loveless was one of my ancestors. My mother's maiden name is Loveless. She is from Burley Idaho the same city that the murdered man was from. Thanks for covering this site.
Pretty cool cave. And the story you told that was a true story. Those darn hooligans with all that graffiti and trash they left behind. One day when they grow up, they will realize that they did wrong. Thank you for sharing and God Bless you and your family. Stay safe and I will see you on your next adventure. 🥰👍👍👍👍👍(🌹🐞🦂🌵)
Interesting explore and video! Back in my caving days ... Lechuguilla Cave was the cave I wanted to see the most, but lacked the skills and people connections to get into it. The National Park Service keeps it locked up for just the reasons you're seeing here. My old Grotto use to go to Carlsbad Caverns and help with the lint cleanup they have every year. It's amazing how much lint the thundering tourist thighs generate! The rocks you were crawling over came from the ceiling and had it been a mine ... there would have been bolts in the ceiling to keep it in place. You have to keep in mind when walking on the floor of a lava tube you are often also walking on the ceiling of the tube below it!
@@PinInTheAtlas Yep! The NSS publishes an cave accident report every year. Seems like most of the deaths are from some form of drowning, but then the wet caves tend to be the neatest around here! Swimming a hundred yards or so with just enough air space to breath tends to weed out the beer and graffiti crowd!
WOW, no matter where you go, someone has already been there, and apparently felt the need to leave evidence of it.😔 That is not an adventure for the weak of heart. The sheer darkness, the footing... YIKES. Thank you for giving us the history of the cave, Andrea and Steven. That was very interesting. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Lovely adventure, thanks for taking us. So sad about the trash and graffiti. If I were closer, I'd pay that cave a visit. It looks like something this seventy year old fart could enjoy without too much damage.
@PinInTheAtlas things have been a bit difficult these past 6 months. I've lost both my old Labradors & my dad passed away on 7th October. But, there is always someone worse off than yourself out there. Yep, definitely got LOTS to catch up on! Brilliant to see you on here still Andrea & Steve. Huge hugs ❤
What an interesting cave, complete with a mutrder mystery. Loveless by namecand nature it seems. Wonder where his head is. It beats me why anyone wants to do graffiti. The only benefit is to the manufacturers of spray paint cans.

That cave showed no evidence of having been a bomb shelter. Plus, the entrance would have been very difficult and dangerous for refugees.

Agree about the painting. One of my gripe
Still don't inderstand that people can go into such a great natural cave and think "you know what this cave needs? A nice coat of paint!" Bah! :-\
