What an incredible location - steep, rugged and so overgrown and really tall pine trees. You guys really find some awe inspiring places - keep up the good work!
My grandfather had an outhouse that had a clawfoot tub with shower, sink, 2 toilet seats, hot and cold water ( blue barrel, black barrel, on stands outside)... it was truly great.
"It says HOT! HOT WATER" I do enjoy those moments! And i applaud Dave's maneuvering of his Suzuki. I had a Geo Tracker with an almost identical body, i think the Suzuki is a little bigger, but not by much. I wonder if the Suzuki's crash cage is as strong as the Tracker's. I rolled it several times, spun around on the hood for awhile, then landed right side up on the rims (tires were sheared off). I think the engine, which was still running, was a Suzuki. Great explore as usual!
The drive through the gulley was epic. Love the big trees and forest. Looks like it must have been quite a nice, quaint little village. Some interesting structures and artefacts around. Well worth an explore. It certainly seems to have an air of enchantment …. Expect a hobbit to jump out. Really awesome scenery. Thanks guys - including Dave!
Seeing that picture of the town, and seeing what is left is sad. The remaining equipment is amazing, and thought provoking. Too bad there is so much debris. Just thinking of that town when it was alive with activity, and how it is now... 😔 Thank you, Andrea and Steven for another awesome exploration. 👏🏻🌲👏🏻🌿
Too bad there weren't a lot of builds left. At least the trees grew back. Thank you for sharing and God Bless you and your family. Stay safe and I will stay tuned for that next adventure. 🥰👍👍👍👍👍(🌹🐞🦂🌵)
Hello Steve and Andrea well the town was built where the mineral was found so not many choices to build on that picture sure gave a great look on how the building s laid out. That big hunk of iron is a Ball mill to crush the ore all ways like seeing what others did to find there riches in life so just think back 75 or more years and we will see this boom town alive and maybe hear a couple of fiddles out on the front steps are minds can run Wild. Thank you for the explore and sit a spell and close your eyes and you might hear the town talking again ⛏️😀
@@casedoumasr656 what a lovely comment Case. We do imagine the lives of the people and what the places look like. We’ve even had experiences with Tommy Knockers
Interesting explore and video! Looked to me that you were looking at an old hunting camp there. The machine looked like an old ball mill to me. The metal desk was a type used by the government. Commonly found after WWII. It kind of suggests additional uses for the buildings after the mine shutdown. Prospecting/hunting camps maybe?
Voices from the past. The din of the ball mill. Tunnels are for trains. Haulage drifts are for mines. I think all those pipes on the concrete were actually for the bunk house. Keep that hot water running in the winter. Floor warm, people warm.😊 Always love the pins. I think the wind no longer blows the Banner.
Great explore beautiful country. The big mystery machine is likely a ball crusher or some type of rock crushing affair. Not 100% sure but near the leaching structures most likely
That was a really fun explore! It is a shame to see how they left the place. They definitely ruined the environment. Some operations are much better about how they leave places.
So sorry folks but this place needs to stay forgotten and left to rot away. Just very hard to fathom that humans lived there and didn't clean up or bury there left overs. Thanks for the explore but geez it was a huge negative. I could smell it by hearing your voices describing the scene. Stay safe .
I bet hunters use this place Dont understand why they left their garbage and some kind of meat to smell up the place I still like the property.were there any sign of electric poles or lines.?Im like you guys ,I love rummaging around old home places. Thanks giys 👍❤️

This one was a challenge Brian, in every way. Couldn’t find much about the place. Mystery
My grandfather had an outhouse that had a clawfoot tub with shower, sink, 2 toilet seats, hot and cold water ( blue barrel, black barrel, on stands outside)... it was truly great.
Sounds impressive

Yes a HOT water heater! We got ridiculed in a comment because we say ‘hot’. So we do it all the more now. 😂glad you joined us Deborah

Hey Bernardo. Glad you enjoyed the explore. There’s always something interesting if you look around. See you on our next adventure
That tailings mountain sure must have taken many years. What a beautiful area.

@@rhondaz356 thanks Rhonda. Fire and floods have taken most of the town. It is sad. Would love to step back in time and experience what it was like
You're looking well Andrea. So happy to see that.❤ Miss y'all.

It's definitely a fun 4X4!
What would be funny, is watching one of you being filmed, skipping to the loo! Great explore of Banner! Thanks for sharing.

We think so too Norm. Definitely hunting camp. Shame not more of the town was left intact

You are correct Steven, it is a "Hot water heater"! Don't let those silly people lead you astray. 🤣. It was still an adventure, thank you.

Yes and that smell! Still we enjoyed it even though you scared me with the water crossings
ruined the environment how?.
You call it a loo, I call it "the little can in the woods!"

I bought a Cold water Heater one time, the only way I could get it to work is if I hooked it up completely backwards........
🤣
The old picture was way cool. The town seems to be in a natural run off ...water way. Maybe the other buildings have been washed away?
Could be Debbie. Floods and fires
The presence of pvc tubing clearly says that somebody was working that site within the last 40 years.
Ah, more exploits with your expedition-son ;-) Over what period did your paths run parallel?
We have a few more that we did together. A couple of weeks exploring Peter.
its a ball mill
"not sure what this is" It looks like a ball mill. Metal balls inside that grind the ore up, as it rotates.
