Chinese Street Food is not always served from street vendors, sometimes, it's found in family run shops in ancient alleyways that have been there for generations. Kind of like take out Chinese street food. Pleas like: foodrangin
This duck is commonly found on the street, hanging on long bamboo poles throughout Sichuan. I was super lucky to be able to try it from a family run joint that has been making this duck for generations! The local snacks that I tried afterwards were just mind blowing, especially the cold chicken sliver noodles.
I had to leave Chengdu to find this local duck, in Pengzhou, where street food is plenty and ducks like this can be found all throughout the city, whether in family run shops like this, or hanging over the sidewalk ready to be served.

Anyways, have you ever tried 乐山甜皮鸭，缠丝兔， 川北凉粉 and 蛋烘糕？These are some of my favorite snacks back when I was a kid. Hope you will like them.

+The Food Ranger | Trevor James : I would like to clear something up. You hear that the laws have made it illegal to eat dog there, but that it is still done in the off track areas. What do you say to this? Many people ignorantly think it is not done in the US, but it is legal in several states. This was a shock to me as I have never heard of it until recently. I just made duck for Thanksgiving it was not near as great looking as yours was. Didn't have much taste either. I tried a recipe done by someone from the old country, but I think she couldn't cook there either. lol
Love Chinese food. My favs are dumplings, hot and sour soup, and duck :)

That snack shop looks really awesome. As a Chinese, I think at least the shapes and colours of those snack dishes are one of the best I have ever seen. If I go to Sichuan, I would try that.
