Blake… such a required and needed presence of what we have so deplorably lost… Just an inkling (pun intended) of your passion for the very foundation of things that made self-expression in written form, from the media to the implements, should be prerequisite for any wanting to understand why it is such a travesty that longhand forms and written language communication training/learning/teaching are no longer core in educational curriculum… I have taken great and unmeasurable delight in garnering what has been for me a lifelong journey of perfecting my handwriting. When I see that you have dropped another upload, I just feel like there are some things that even time will never change… To write, to write “old-school” is a thing I hope will never evolve… and most importantly, never become extinct. Love your content. Thank you for you continued contributions in keeping the relevance of why we write. Great review.
Thank you for your thoughtful comment. It is much appreciated. I've found journaling by hand to be such a gift. It is relaxing and allows me to reflect and explore without technology trying to constantly grab my attention and guide my actions.
As always, such a fantastic, high-quality notebook with well considered features! I'll definitely be picking one of these up, as this is one of my very favorite paper stocks.
Blake another great review. I have been wanting to try Cosmo Air Light paper and now I know where to get some. I would like to the lined version in blue or red cover. Not sure if a lined guide would show through for the blank paper given the properties you have demonstrated. I have the Blocker Notebook and the quality is excellent on it. Keep up the great work.
Hi Gary, thank you for the question. I can comfortably use a guide sheet with this paper. I recommend using thicker lines as thinner ones will appear faint.
Thanks for the review. I've been really curious about the Cosmo Air Light paper, and your notebook looks fantastic - very nice build. I particularly love the bookmark - that less obtrusive type of bookmark is so lovely. I yours is either the same, or very similar to, the one Midori uses in their MD line. Alas, today I received an email from Musubi Atelier saying that Cosmo Air Light paper is going to be discontinued. That said, my 2023 Hobonichi Planner came with a little sample of Sanzen "Successor" TRP, and personally...I like the paper. It has a crisper feel than TRP, but every single pen I threw at it worked great. I may end up liking it better than the original "old" TRP.
Hi Sharon, thank you for the comment! Yes, I got an email last night from the paper company about CAL. We are planning to make a twin ring CAL notebook with the 92gsm version. There is still a supply of it. I have a sample of the new Tomoe River "S" paper that I haven't tried yet. I am curious to compare it side by side with the old TR 52. I am glad to hear that you like it.
Hi Blake, another fantastic video for anther fantastic product. I am glad this notebook and the last release are not in dot-grid. If they were, i would have already ordered them and i really have no need yet. I will be buying both notebooks at some point, but have not implemented the prior notebooks I bought from your store yet. That said, if they come in dot-grid, I would buy them now. I find dot-grid irresistible.

Waiting for a dot grid version.
Noted!

Yes, i would like to know if a line guide would work on this paper

Looks like another winner Blake !!
Thanks Gino!

Hi Michael, I definitely want to do a 5mm dot gird with the next batch of these notebooks.
@@BlakesBroadcast That is great.
I sorta caught the bullet journal fever after thinking it was silly. Now my focus is on dot-grip only.
It is sad.
The blotter sheet is a great idea. The paper is just terrific.
Thank you David!
Thank you Blake. So, to clarify, that is your online store?
Yes, The Paper Mind is a company that I started.
Excellent demonstration. Looks so promising. 😊
Yeah, I liked your blotting hammer. 😅
Thank you Dash! My rocking blotter is more substantial than I would like but it's hard to find a good quality one in a smaller size.
Awesome. Please make soft covers. Please make samples of your papers to buy. Thank you 🥰
A paper sampler is a good idea. I will consider adding softcover versions.
Blake - is this the same paper as in the Cosmo Note notebooks?
Yes, this is the same paper in the same weight as the Cosmo Note from Yamamoto.
