Life is good in the province. Can't blame you for not missing the city life. Enjoying what you have...fantastic view (sunrise/sunset), your garden, cold breeze/fresh air, your house/pool, the nice neighbors and especially with Sherlyn and Thor/Jake, compensates for all. You've chosen well, you're in the right path. Your way of life is very commendable. Thank you once again. Always keep safe!
I always look forward for your blog and videos, love watching you build your dream house with Sherlyn as it progress and can’t wait for the day it will finally be over. Shout out from Florida 😊
During COVID, people in most nations left the hustle and bustle of the CROWDED city and live in rural or provincial areas that is quiet, peaceful with fresh air for a healthy living. Your location is amazing. Your decision is one that is well thought of. So happy with the progress of all your projects for your home! CONGRATULATIONS Finn and Lyn!
Your little paradise is looking good. With that view and still lot's of interesting projects inside/out, you guys don't need other entertainments for now..
Finn and Sherlyn, you are blessed by almighty, with all your hard work, now this is the fruits of your hard working and amazing blessing from above, you both inspired us and makes us happy in time of our hectic life in medical field , “GOD” will blessed you always, we love you dearly
I love your home Finn and Sherlyn . Very nice ,especially your pool and your gardens . Love you amazing couple. . CONGRATULATIONS too, for your diving business.. ❤❤❤❤❤ From Cebu City
Love you both - the house is looking sick 🤩🤩🤩 . Love how green the area and continue planting more trees and native plants from the Philippines. The birds are finding refuge in your land now. From London , UK
Looking fantastic you will have so much fruit and vegetables in time to come Finn and Sherlyn your family helping you are doing a amazing job also ones again Finn Looking great.
The land is now nice and lush green from the rain, the pool is sparkling blue and the peaceful sounds you hear when walking in your yard is just so relaxing. Having your beauty queen clean the pool.... ahh life is good. May God bless you and your family. Really like your newly adopted mountain dog. Very cool. I must ask, what happened to your security guard... the goat? 🙂
i miss... the house of my grandma in bohol... there's a lot of fruits tree's.. we have also avocado tree, nangka, mango, coconut, and i think that's a lemon- lemonsito😅 ..
Ask Sherlyn anything about the construction and details about the house and she will know the answer! You guys are such a great team and have created such an amazing community! Love, love, love following this journey :)
You can eat the fruits, and leaves of wild Ampalaya. Cook them with boiled Mongo beans. Sauteed in shrimps, onions, garlic and tomatoes. Put more water like soup. It's yummy. That's the Ilocano veggies. Put patis or bagoong to taste or fried fish. Enjoy. Love the pool now. Patience is a virtue. To see the beauty of you abd Sherlyn's hard labor. Take care znd God bless.❤❤❤
Your house and land is so peaceful, so inspiring. Maybe someday I'll try to go diving with your company.(retirement goals haha). We have a place in Cagayan de Oro, my wife says Sherlyn is from there?
The little copper-colored birds with the black heads are called Nunia. There are a few different varieties, but the most common are the Chestnut Nunia and the Tri-color Nunia. They are also known in the Philippines as Maya, but that label is also given to every other little bird found in the Philippines (including sparrows). I have a flock of Nunia that visits my yard pretty much every day. They are cute little birds, and I welcome them. The more good habitat you provide, the more birds will visit your place.
Hello Finn and Sherlyn, and all the doggies around roaming inside and out ...I envy you for choosing to live there, the view is fantastic and magical....surrounded with the veggies, tress and flowers.... the air is so crisp and clean....wow...
Looking great guys! You will surely have ample storage to achieve a nice uncluttered look. I’m looking forward to see the garage/ parking area slash “man cave” I’m also growing calamansi, American lemon among others. I was inundated with butterfly larvae also. I’ve been spraying with a mixture of neem oil and garlic infused water. The neem oil kills the mealy bugs but ineffective for the larvae. I was picking them off nightly and spraying with the garlic water. No more larvae. I’ll do a private short this evening when I spray and tag you and Sherlyn. It works! The butterflies detest garlic.
Since your property is sooo big and since you've already fenced some areas in wires - you may want to paint the wooden posts in white, Finn/Sherlyn. Then, you can easily spot your borders even if your at your house. It does not have to be the whole post, just the once protruding is enough for spotting. So w/ your stones encircling some of the fruit trees. Cheers and God bless you!
Yes I was thinking of a grass cutter purchase. You can opt between the noisy & a bit dangerous gasoline powered or the better electric one, you'll just need a long wire.
I think those little birds are finches. U can see them sometimes being sold during fiesta or near schools or in the palengke. So nice to see them in wild. Mikey bustos have different finches in his indoor aviary.
Finn, ampalaya is bitter gourd. I have never seen that variety. Many pinoys love it, that’s a vegetable. It can grow long and green and can be very bitter
Same here very good with mung bean soup. And those small wild ampalaya is for pinakbet paired with small eggplants, string beans, okra and bagnet, our special Ilocano dish Yumyum!😊
plant sweet potatos, cassava (kamoteng kahoy), cucumbers, Garlic, Onions, Rosemary, sweet basil, Oregano, lavander….. would like to try that wild ampalaya….. the other day we found wild bergamot on our land…… herbs are important
Anay or termites will be more visible if there are more woods in the house. Have a regular terminate check... Since you are leaving in a more soil surrounding...
Hello, we built a house and the only part left to finish is the kitchen. Our kitchen is very large and we are having a problem finding solid wood to use within a reasonable price. We are thinking about using marine plywood. In your video you mentioned curing the plywood. How do you cure plywood? Your house looks great! Thanks
Wild ampalaya leaves are healthy vegetable Fin. Good for Anemic individual. Saute it w/ garlic, onion, ginger w/ a teaspoon of Patis & Tuyo. Whoala it's viand from the farm.
Herbal fruit with many different names. Known as Cerasee in Jamaica. Known to help with many different ailments. The leaves are used to make a bitter tea. Sweeten with homey and enjoy.

Becoming more and more beautiful by the day, AMAZING!
Hi,Finn amd Sherlyn...just a suggestion, it's better to put bamboo sticks around the trees you've planted,to secure it. Pets might step on it.

Finn With your plywood cabinets I recommend plywood backs helps keep shelfs true and straight when loaded and real easy to hold back to wall.
One word,.PARAISO,.💕
I’m glad you have barn cats and dogs as this will somehow deter snakes ..😊
How nice the view 😮😮

What you just ate is the wild, undomesticated bitter gourd. Its exactly the same species as an ampalaya (Momordica charantia).
The view is to die for ❤WOW
