Kafka being constantly put into his place by Shinomiya throughout the episode was hilarious to see. It is admirable how he refrained from using his powers tho, wanting to pass the tests on his own.
Kafka and Reno deciding to support the other candidates who have a lot more combat experience was a really cool decision, shows how these two are willing to play to their strengths.

Shinomiya is the main character to me
Kafka is the main character to me(literally because he was),and what i like about him is being realistic,and he play fair and square and he doesn't cheat like not using his partial transformation on the exam and just using his own strength even if his body is weak and he has no natural talent,and the fact that he's in his 30's,i find young anime mc troupe annoying(well there's plenty of old anime mcs in other animes😅)
But in my opinion kikoru is the second and reno is the third main character
