This episode took quite a dark turn, giving off AoT vibes from time to time. It's quite the welcome change of pace from the forced humor moments we got in previous episodes.
At times it went a bit into the whole torture thing too much but it did also do a great job at conveying just how alien this Kaiju is, how the concept of "pain" is so strange to it.
Kafka came in clutch! It was really cool seeing how he took his head off clean and then beat the shit out of this little freak.
Vice-Captain Hoshina vs. Kafka - now you just know that's gonna be a crazy battle!
The reveal that Hoshina is currently at 92% power, a mere few % below the best fighter - now we're starting to feel bad about Kafka.
