i really miss this sort of action movies, even tough abit cheesy today, his movies is still better than alot of todays crap, cos at tht time, they infact didnt have so much data manipulation on their scenes, they had to make the scenes authentic by doin it the ol ways....tht's the main reason the action movies of the 80's and 90's imo are more entertaining, but i guess its me gettin older too...LOL! F.EX when firing arms in todays movies, especially b-movies, they dont even care to show spent brass flyin and some of the muzzle flash in todays films are just so fck laughable.....when watching deltaforce or missing in action, both the spent brass flyin and muzzle flash are as genuine as can get.....u can even watch the recoiling effects....they skipped ALL THT today in alot of movies....
Would Bruce Lee have agreed to star in Slaughter in San Francisco if he had to play the villain and lose at the end? I doubt it. His ego was huge and he would never play a villain who lost at the end.
My favorite movie of Chuck Norris. The way of the dragon 🐲, Lone wolf mcquade and Code of silence with Expendable 2. The better caractère from Cannon stay James Braddock in Missing in action.
No way could Norris and Bruce Lee have been making full contact in their fight in Way of the Dragon, because that would have caused blood to be gushing out of their faces, and that would ruin the shoot. It also risks injury which would inhibit them from continuing the shoot or impair the actors. Plus if you watch it closely, you will see that the kicks don't touch their faces.
To this day I still think the parking lot fight scene in Good Guys Wear Black is one of his best. A wide variety of techniques. Well choreographed. And that was 1977.
