  • #tulgeywoodtvtuesday #disney100 #melblanc Lend an ear to the voices of the legendary Mel Blanc. Did you know this prolific voice actor famed for his voice characterizations for Warner Bros.' Looney Tunes, used his talents for several projects produced by Walt Disney? One of these projects is so obscure that it's only know to Stacia Martin and a few other Disney know-alls. So tune in and get an earful of The Man with 1000 Voices.
Dedicated to gifted voice artist and all around good guy Maxwell Glick.
Thanks to Davelandweb.com for the rare photo of Orville from the Carousel of Progress.

I knew he was almost the voice of the cat, but the radio plays and the attractions were news to me!

How did I not know any of this!? Hiccup! Someone needs to do a mashup of all his hiccups. Thanks for putting this together; it was super entertaining and interesting as usual! 🙂

Wonderful interesting history! The fact that he did this much for Disney is not something I would have expected!

Your excellent choice of a Johnny Carson quote is apt because Mel Blanc was a Johnny favorite whenever he appeared on the Tonight Show. Thanks for watching, Gerard!

Mel was also the Voice of "Dinah" in "Alice in Wonderland " in 1951.

That's not true, though a lot of people seem to believe it. Dinah's "mews" were performed by Clarence Nash. Though his claim to fame was creating and performing the voice of Donald Duck, his specialties were the sounds of animals such as horses, birds and cats.
