Praying for all souls and families, to find peace and be ready for the changes coming. I have taught all my 3 grown children to have one job with their hands and one job with their minds, to always have plan B and pray deeply for strength and wisdom. God bless each one of us today and always 🙏☮️

That is great advice. I encouraged my son to take every “tech” class in High School. He learned construction, welding, bike repair, ski tuning (we live in ski country) and wilderness first aid. He does sales right now but I know he has skills in his “rolodex” to pull from

Always good insight and something to ponder upon. Nicely done Matt. Sidenote: I stayed home this weekend. Cleaned out 2 small closets of knick-knack items that have been unused for the last couple of years and a small dresser of clothes not worn for awhile. Sold a lot of items in today’s garage sale and have the clothes bundled up ready-to-go for the local charity and I even sold the dresser. Come Tuesday I will be at my local coin shop, just one mile away, and will convert the garage sale cash to 5-6 ounces of silver to put away with my stash. 👍😁

Federal government is bloated, Every month , on thur., when the job numbers are tallied, government add's about 70,000 NEW fed jobs, didn't they hire 80,000 new IRS position's ? if a private company was run like the u s government, they would be out of business in a year, but the fed can keep printing money, which is why inflation is so steep

It occurred to me a few years ago much of the American dream is built upon debt and fiat currency. I don’t think people understand just how intertwined their income is tied to all that cheap money and government spending. It’s like a spiral being unwound.

Think about the lies we’ve been told. Amish do just fine with an 8th grade education. They rely on themselves and their community. Barns go up in one day while we spend years and a fortune on college only to get laid off or worse can’t find a good job. I know pros need college. I’m talking about the every day person. Find a skill, hopefully something needed.

“The US is so heavily debt-laden, its housing prices are so high and its medical care is so extremely high (18% of GDP) that it cannot compete. It cannot re-industrialize without taking radical steps to write down debts, to de-privatize health care and education, to break up monopolies and restore progressive taxation. The vested Financial, Insurance and Real Estate (FIRE sector) interests are too powerful to permit these reforms.
That makes the U.S. economy a failed economy, and America a Failed State.”

Yes federal reductions in jobs will be very real and it will be painful to reverse these 4 years of economic damage. Before I retired from the U.S. Army in 1998, the army was drastically reduced during the years 1994 to 1997 by forcing early retirements or forcing soldiers out with one time severance lump sums even those with as long as 15 years in the army. So those federal employees with employment “contracts” including military members who think they have “job security”, we already have had situations I’ve witnessed where the government can terminate your employment at will. I saw a lot of good enlisted and officers get early discharges or retirements to cut costs in those years. Keep learning new employable skills, getting fit and prepare for some rough times ahead folks! Regardless of which side of the immigration issue you are on, I strongly suggest you learn Spanish as an employment skill since the increase of illegals is a fact of life now and business will be keen on people who can speak Spanish to do business with these millions of immigrants generating millions of dollars. 🇺🇸

Given economies are just as linked as our supply lines, and nearly everything else in life, anyone who thinks that cutting huge chunks of money out of the economy won't have a huge number of other outcomes is dreaming imo.
People should stop with the hero worship and think long and hard about what the realities might be imo.
I find it very hard to take a guy seriously who deals with his employees the way he does whilst taking obscene amounts of money himself.
Personally I shall go down and harvest some green beans and strawberries.

I don't really blame people who panic. Lack of
information can be a big hurdle. I've been
making more than $200k passively by just
investing through an advisor, and I don't have
to do much work. Inflation or no inflation, my
finances remain secure. So I really don't blame
      people who panic.
