Suggestion from an old cable guy - Change the outer cover on the 220V 50Hz to round. That will imitate a European style plug. US 120 60Hz plugs are considered more square. It's a visual thing, but if it works & saves one boat electronic, it will have been worth it. Fair winds
Does anyone make a universal AC converter for boats, i.e., plug into any AC shore power and have it work for the boat? Such things are commonplace in small appliances, and ought to be possible on a larger scale for boat power. (Your laptop, etc., are all essentially universal power supplies: they can work on any AC power worldwide, just by adapting plugs.)
