Guys... we might've been nerfed in the next Season. I was testing on the Early Access server and the overhead -> uppercut cancel doesn't seem to work anymore so you only end up doing the uppercut which also means our Bread and Butter combo, no longer works. I've asked the devs to see if they could revert it. All we can do is pray. UPDATE: They didn't ,ggs
They are essentially nerfing Spiderman by Buffing all of his hard counters such as Namor and Scarlet Witch, (abilities where aiming is not required) and also by buffing characters that Spiderman was reasonable against such as Winter Soldier and Storm. Include the fact that spiderman has 250 health while the new DPS have 350 is absurd.
I made a combo in my recent video, it completely melts 275's. The idea is this. You don't apply webshooter right away. Instead, zip to their fit, apply the webcluster, instantly uppercut, swing cancel into web cluster whilst they are in the air, swing cancel into GETOVERHERE and melee, if you do it fast enough it does the ground pound while you're practically on the ground, but most of the time I get the punch and it still works. This combo delays the tracer to create more surprise that you are around, they are less aware or reactive, once they try to sleep you, stun you, they should be being pulled into you vs you zipping to them, getting stunned or killed.
Interesting approach, I’ll have to try it out! I think you might be up in the air with your opponent for too long with this but I’ll give it a shot and let you know 😎

Idk bruh I think spider man just has that skill ceiling. I’m a sweaty gamer and I’m just laying off spiderman until I have nothing else to do. Already put 100 hours into doomfist in OW I don’t feel like having to go through the curve with spidey 😂

If you feel like you cant play Spider-Man, you can. Play with him in quickmatch to understand his moveset. And use all of his moves until you feel comfortable including the venom power when you can. Once your comfortable go into practice and try these out! I was going 8 and 5 on my own then ive put in practice and i do pretty much 15 and 3 consistantly. Dont stop practicing a move/combo until you get at least semi consistant! Spider-Man doesnt quit and neither should you! Im still not as good as I want to be so im going to keep practicing as well!
and if you feel like you can’t play spiderman, at least you can be very fucking annoying to teams with your movement. you can pull tanks off point and supports off their team by baiting them to chase you, even if you have no idea how to chain combos or webnap off map. spidey has the best movement in the game, so always be aware of how many swings you have and how you can get them to chase

Another annoying thing is when I try to land on top of objects or buildings and spidey just doesn't land and is stuck in the fall animation because there's an invisible wall between the player and the obstacle preventing me from landing.
It’s really just the Tokyo map for me that’s so frustrating. Theres a little roof gate that blocks the middle map courtyard area and it really makes no sense that you can go over it
Spidey's webshooters are one of the best utility tools ever in fiction (or at the very least the most iconic), so it's great to see all the utility stemming from them in this game.
for the bread and butter combo i found that also works if you: cluster → GOH → upper cut → swing cancel to overhead slam, you don't even need to jump again if you swing cancel. seems easier for me you just cant have the upper cut and overhead at almost the same time
thats definitely a good start, especially in low ranks, and one of the beginner combos I spoke about in my other video! Unfortunately that leaves you in the air with very predictable movement for very long, which means you'll get hit by stuns and damage before you can finish of your target.

For the web zip animation cancel, if you jump, tap webzip (anywhere, above or below headheight, and doesn't matter if youre looking at wall or not) then animation cancel the webzip with a sticky, you can do a ground slam if timed right. I struggle to get this out as the timing is super tight, but if done right it's super useful
For strategists/duelists who have strong movement abilities (rocket, Starlord, etc) , I always try to web cluster into a zip near them and immediately uppercut to bait their ability. Then web cluster into another zip off to the side (like you show in the video) into auto-pull + uppercut. For everyone else, I prefer: 1) zip to target into cluster (cancels momentum and gives them less time to react) + uppercut. Another cluster into double jump + GETOVERHERE into overhead slam (300 damage). If getting healed you can cluster animation cancel the overhead once it lands into uppercut and they will die by that point if you land everything save for massive heals. 2) zip to target into cluster + uppercut. One cluster immediately into GETOVERHERE (no double jump) + Normal punch will kill 275 HP targets. If needed animation cancel the punch with a cluster into uppercut. I like both because the pull is a stun basically, so your target can’t shoot or CC you while in it. #1 does more damage than #2, but #2 is easier to land the pull. However, the angle at which you pull with #1 makes it less likely they can CC you once the stun wears off (Luna/Mantis) because it pulls them above your head in a weird way. #2 pulls them directly to you, so if they’re mashing their CC they may land it on you.
5:18 to circumvent this you can pretty much just hold swing until you notice spidey float slightly above ground. This is really consistent and while it’s slower than the jump cancel it’s basically milliseconds slower. I find that if i’m diving someone this is much more consistent than having to wait till spidey touches the ground, as wasting a webswing to already do this combo and not getting that overhead is terrible
AHH I knew it. I felt hold to swing would be better but I was messing my my zips in my releasing too early, but you can’t do a lot of the movement I’ve been seeing without hold to swing.

Just practice each cancel in Practice Range one at a time. I promise you you'll start doing them unconsciously, which will easily allow you to chain them together It's like playing an instrument or something lol
You gotta get them into your muscle memory, I practiced the scroll wheel double jump overhead upper cut combo with the cancels for like 6 hours and still have trouble getting it off in game. Timing has to be so precise that you really can't think about it.
How practical is the bread and butter oneshot in your experience? I tried using it a fair amount in qp today and got ccd a lot since it takes longer, especially when you approach from off the ground.
@ So i kinda tried in Practice and I think how you do it is; Uppercut then spam the jump button with spamming the melee and you skip the flip animation and go straight to the overhead attack.
While on one hand i like how complicated some kits are and its neat that people have discovered techs like this I kinda also hate how someone can just play hela or hawkeye and be just as or more effective while playing braindead.
@ you don’t HAVE to animation cancel but animation cancel is what makes the difference for higher level players in almost ALL games that have animation cancels
’m on ps5 and whenever I try to cancel my swing it won’t cancel until after I start winging, no matter what I try I can’t cancel that. Does anyone know why and how I can fix it?
For the web zip bread and butter, why would you not just: web ball -> web zip attack -> melee -> web ball cancel -> uppercut I feel like this comes out quickly, it kills 300hp squishees, leaves you in the air for web zip getaways, etc.
You actually don't need to jump and then swing to get an overhead melee, you can just swing and jump at the same time, or you can swing and then jump(requires a specific timing).
Collecting this knowledge like it’s infinity stones when I’m playing on a tv so my frames are limited and I might not be able to do a lotta of these combos idk maybe I’m dumb

I think the easiest way to do an overhead attack is to just press the Swing button and then cancel it immediately with the cluster then primary button. You don't have to aim anywhere, you can even aim at the ground that way and it won't use your swing resources
So if you look at your Spiderman specific keybinds there’s one keybind for a targeting version when they’ve already been tagged by a web tracer, and version for manual aim pull in’s only. You can set them to separate keys
I got to diamond 1 on my main and made an alt just for spidey (now almost plat) and have become completely obsessed with him over the past week lol. Have been learning all his combos over the last few days and trying to implement them in game. He is super fun to play but gets deleted if you make one mistake. (“bread and butter” combo on console) when i try to swing cancel into overhead it zips me to the marked enemy instead of the wall im looking at to be able to do the cancel which messes everything up..
I have a question. So I love the concept of Spider-Man’s entire kit and playstyle in this game, but he just needs a couple of things that would just elevate his gameplay not just in terms of effectiveness through buffs, but actual tangible mechanics that make him more fun to play. My question is if you’d like to hear some ideas I had regarding the character changes? Im sure you get this all the time so If not I understand. Great videos by the way, really helped me elevate my gameplay with the character and bumped me up a couple ranks as well
@ ok, just keep in mind, these are random and pretty general, so the actual stat values are ambiguous and left to whatever they would work best as. And I’m just throwing these ideas out there, not necessarily intending for ALL of them to be together for the character. Also please let me know if any of these specific suggestions would be too much for the character, this was more so for fun rather than an intense balancing critique on how he performs currently 1. COOLDOWNS: Marked enemies hit after shooting them with the web cluster will slowly but gradually replenish some cooldown on get over here and your webswings (besides amazing combo, because otherwise you could just keep spamming it, that ability should have a fixed cooldown) this way Spider-Man becomes way more viable and rewarding during fights because combining web clusters with your hits allows for a much more satisfying gameplay loop since you are able to cycle through your kit and base melee together and intertwine them for shorter cooldowns, this makes it so Spider-Man doesn’t have to sit in a corner to wait to recharge his kit for TOO long either, but obviously he is still squishy so if you are too aggressive then you will probably eventually get punished, so drive by playstyles are still king. 2. WEB CLUSTERS: Simply either just a way faster recharge rate OR instead, a web cartridge refill. His refill could be balanced by maybe having it only refill 2 and a half web clusters each time, so you either reload halfway to keep full web cluster amount or you have to refill on empty and wait for more web clusters to recharge to get to full, and for even more balancing, his reload and animations should be fairly long so that it’s not too much. - (Bonus maybe) web cluster shots could potentially also gradually slow down enemies and a certain number of them would temporarily stun them or maybe just function by only stunning their abilities and or attacks for a second, so they can still move but can’t attack/use abilities for a second (1st landed shot would just mark them, 2nd would slow them down, and the third would temporarily stun their ability/attack stun instead) this would also help with a very frustrating part of Spider-Man’s playstyle right now, it feels like you can dump a whole combo into one enemy and as soon as they heal once, or use cc to disrupt your combo, you essentially did nothing. 3. MOVEMENT/PASSIVE CHANGE: - Could get multiple jumps like iron fist, that works in tandem with the new spider sense passive below - Change spider sense passive to where it will alert you when enemies put their cross hair on you. This could pair with the new triple jump so that jumps while the spider sense indicator is on your head will make you completely dodge any attack if timed correctly similar to star lords dodge, the difference being that Spider-Man has to do it while the spider sense passive is active (and for balancing it can refresh every so often instead of always being on) overall I feel this is a good way to add to his survivability In a “skilled” way without just giving him a healing ability, damage reduction, flat health increase etc. and it fits the character very well
there is a much simpler version to get lunas and mantis especially because they get over healed constantly you need to be doing 379 damage to actually kill them, you use get over here in to a normal punch cancel with sticki then you uppercut cancel into a downsmash this combo works best for healers plus winter soldier
For the moment, it's the best tutorial on Spidey I have seen, but I have a request: do you know a combo that is efficient against JEFF? I struggle so much to kill him; he can go into his bubble to heal and also escape with his movement ability.
Idk abt his bubbles but if he swims away after u do some damage if u web cluster him then get ober here and upper cut u should kill him but he has to have some damage alr done to him
I got the bread and butter combo down in the training map, but when i went into quick play i cant seem to hit it at all and i dont know what to do. For now im just constantly going into quick play and trying and trying but if u have any tips it would be helpful
Ty I was doing the bread and butter with swing cancel before jump, also didn't know you can do a swing cancel for a faster cluster. Btw... I don't know how I do this but occasionally I'm sneaking in a regular melee with my overhead melee just as fast as your combo with the cluster if not faster. I've only recreated it a couple of times could be something to look into.
Why when i swing it does one first swing and then the second it just pulls me forward without swinging ? I turned off auto swinging already and hold to swing. And i aim above head.
Is the swing cancel supposed to take a swing charge? Since it seems bad to sacrifice the movement if there's other combo's out there. Maybe I'm doing it wrong but it seems to take a charge every time, no matter how fast I release shift
it doesn't always, depending on how close the wall is to you from what I've noticed. If you can sacrifice a swing and still get out then I would recommend using it!
nope its still working for me! Just tested before writing this, not sure why its not working for you. If the web does attach to a wall it will use up a charge but it doesn't need to attach in order to be canceled by your cluster
5:31 is it even possible to do this on console im doing exact same input but its not coming out idk how the uppercut/ overhead is coming out at the same time
Im confused if you do the web cluster zip cancel and overhead, shouldnt that do enough damage to get to 275 and you dont have to add on the extra cancel at the end? Like if you hit the cluster on them for the cancel
My problem with overhead attack is this is taking your webs and if you want to do the combo you need to have all 3 of them to at least have one left to escape
Even with the animation cancel for the 275 you should still be left with 2 and if you swung in still have 1 left you're canceling it before it hits anything so it doesn't take the cool down but for the overhead yeah it does
yeah thats the price to pay for getting a one shot out unfortunately. You gotta make sure you're flying in with 2 webs so by the time your combo is over, the 3rd web recharges. The quick combo I showed doesn't use a web charge but it is extremely hard to pull off in game
This might sound like a dumb question but, if you web cluster into get over here then uppercut, will the web cluster damage boost apply to the get over here or to the uppercut?
What do you do in heavy anti dive comps like Namor, peni, mantis, and luna? I find it really hard to play spidey against a combination of these characters, especially namor and peni. Is spidey just unplayable here, or is there counterplay? I try using the zip to dodge then get over here, but he cant really oneshot any of those heroes either, so going all in like that doesn't really work either.
if Namor doesn't have the Luna teamup, you can treat him like you would treat Hela. With the Luna team up its really tough to play Spidey so you'd prob need to play either as a distraction or try play for hooks. If you're taking the entire attention of a super impactful hero like Namor / Hela / Hawkeye, then its always worth it, even if ur not getting kills as you're enabling ur team to pop off. Make sure you actually are makign them ALWAYS look at you, not just sometimes, and that you're not dying or giving ult charge! Peni is a weird one as you can't do anything about her nests. You can play to hook her into your team as she's got no way of blocking your pull and you can also interrupt her swing with your uppercut. A lot of the time though if Peni is just destroying my team, I tend to swap to Psylocke so I can deal with her nest myself as just pulling in the Peni might not be enough value for your team

If you look in the settings you’ll see two different places that you can set keybinds for Get Over Here. One of them is specifically to pull towards you, whether there’s a tracer on them or not! I explain it in my beginner guide too 😁
I usually love animation canceling and things of this nature, I do that a lot in Deadlock for example, but in this game I feel Spiderman needs a buff on his damage, just a little bit, because doing all of this insane stuff consistently will not be possible for 90% of the playerbase and he needs to be viable at all ranks. You have to execute all of this perfectly and one mistake you are gone. Considering CC and the meta right now, it's just very pointless to me. I can just go black panther and genji all over them with less skill required and do AoE damage.
he is a 5 star character after all. I don't agree he should be viable at ALL ranks but I do still think he needs a buff to not just be a complete throw pick in low elo. In low elo tho, people aren't quick with their ability usage or aim and you can get away with a lot more than you can in high elo. I'm currently doing a Spiderman only Bronze to Grandmaster on my stream (will be on RUclips soon) if you want to see how I approach fights in those ranks :D
@@Tephrite I don't mean any offence but you have to understand that a high skilled player's opinion of a VERY famous marvel character not being viable at all ranks is just just pure error. He should definitely be viable at all ranks, because I am platinum and the game states I am better than 90% of the population. He has to be good in low elo as well. Yes, the enemies are worse, but the spidey is worse too, and you get no heals in low elo, so he should be able to solo kill people WITHOUT 2 animation cancels, that is just ridiculous.
it only works if ur 4m or closer to the target for both of the combos. As I state in the vid, especially with the 275hp combo, it requires you to be in their face for too long which would make u really easy to punish. To make it work vs good players you need to perfectly charge the overhead slam whilst you're swinging/bhopping in AND also perfectly time the GOH cancel with the uppercut before the tracer disappears. There's way too many timing requirements and caveats for it to be a consistent combo. I thought I'd mention it because it is quick but EXTREMELY hard to pull off in an actual game

However, the angle at which you pull with #1 makes it less likely they can CC you once the stun wears off (Luna/Mantis) because it pulls them above your head in a weird way. #2 pulls them directly to you, so if they’re mashing their CC they may land it on you.

to circumvent this you can pretty much just hold swing until you notice spidey float slightly above ground. This is really consistent and while it’s slower than the jump cancel it’s basically milliseconds slower. I find that if i’m diving someone this is much more consistent than having to wait till spidey touches the ground, as wasting a webswing to already do this combo and not getting that overhead is terrible

Just practice each cancel in Practice Range one at a time. I promise you you'll start doing them unconsciously, which will easily allow you to chain them together

You gotta get them into your muscle memory, I practiced the scroll wheel double jump overhead upper cut combo with the cancels for like 6 hours and still have trouble getting it off in game. Timing has to be so precise that you really can't think about it.

How practical is the bread and butter oneshot in your experience? I tried using it a fair amount in qp today and got ccd a lot since it takes longer, especially when you approach from off the ground.

@ So i kinda tried in Practice and I think how you do it is; Uppercut then spam the jump button with spamming the melee and you skip the flip animation and go straight to the overhead attack.

While on one hand i like how complicated some kits are and its neat that people have discovered techs like this I kinda also hate how someone can just play hela or hawkeye and be just as or more effective while playing braindead.

@ you don’t HAVE to animation cancel but animation cancel is what makes the difference for higher level players in almost ALL games that have animation cancels

For the web zip bread and butter, why would you not just: web ball -> web zip attack -> melee -> web ball cancel -> uppercut
I feel like this comes out quickly, it kills 300hp squishees, leaves you in the air for web zip getaways, etc.
You actually don't need to jump and then swing to get an overhead melee, you can just swing and jump at the same time, or you can swing and then jump(requires a specific timing).

I think the easiest way to do an overhead attack is to just press the Swing button and then cancel it immediately with the cluster then primary button. You don't have to aim anywhere, you can even aim at the ground that way and it won't use your swing resources
easiest for sure! But it isn't the fastest and with spiderman, speed is everything since you're so squishy :(
@Tephrite, I would really love to see some buffs for him. It's crazy if he loses his seasonal damage buff. I'm not sure if he'll be playable at all.
9:40 is there a setting that changes the targeting? because I have to aim at enemies to be able to use "the get over here" gap closer
So if you look at your Spiderman specific keybinds there’s one keybind for a targeting version when they’ve already been tagged by a web tracer, and version for manual aim pull in’s only. You can set them to separate keys
I got to diamond 1 on my main and made an alt just for spidey (now almost plat) and have become completely obsessed with him over the past week lol. Have been learning all his combos over the last few days and trying to implement them in game. He is super fun to play but gets deleted if you make one mistake. (“bread and butter” combo on console) when i try to swing cancel into overhead it zips me to the marked enemy instead of the wall im looking at to be able to do the cancel which messes everything up..
I have a question. So I love the concept of Spider-Man’s entire kit and playstyle in this game, but he just needs a couple of things that would just elevate his gameplay not just in terms of effectiveness through buffs, but actual tangible mechanics that make him more fun to play. My question is if you’d like to hear some ideas I had regarding the character changes? Im sure you get this all the time so If not I understand. Great videos by the way, really helped me elevate my gameplay with the character and bumped me up a couple ranks as well

@ ok, just keep in mind, these are random and pretty general, so the actual stat values are ambiguous and left to whatever they would work best as. And I’m just throwing these ideas out there, not necessarily intending for ALL of them to be together for the character. Also please let me know if any of these specific suggestions would be too much for the character, this was more so for fun rather than an intense balancing critique on how he performs currently
1. COOLDOWNS:
Marked enemies hit after shooting them with the web cluster will slowly but gradually replenish some cooldown on get over here and your webswings (besides amazing combo, because otherwise you could just keep spamming it, that ability should have a fixed cooldown) this way Spider-Man becomes way more viable and rewarding during fights because combining web clusters with your hits allows for a much more satisfying gameplay loop since you are able to cycle through your kit and base melee together and intertwine them for shorter cooldowns, this makes it so Spider-Man doesn’t have to sit in a corner to wait to recharge his kit for TOO long either, but obviously he is still squishy so if you are too aggressive then you will probably eventually get punished, so drive by playstyles are still king.
2. WEB CLUSTERS:
Simply either just a way faster recharge rate OR instead, a web cartridge refill. His refill could be balanced by maybe having it only refill 2 and a half web clusters each time, so you either reload halfway to keep full web cluster amount or you have to refill on empty and wait for more web clusters to recharge to get to full, and for even more balancing, his reload and animations should be fairly long so that it’s not too much.
- (Bonus maybe) web cluster shots could potentially also gradually slow down enemies and a certain number of them would temporarily stun them or maybe just function by only stunning their abilities and or attacks for a second, so they can still move but can’t attack/use abilities for a second (1st landed shot would just mark them, 2nd would slow them down, and the third would temporarily stun their ability/attack stun instead) this would also help with a very frustrating part of Spider-Man’s playstyle right now, it feels like you can dump a whole combo into one enemy and as soon as they heal once, or use cc to disrupt your combo, you essentially did nothing.
3. MOVEMENT/PASSIVE CHANGE:
- Could get multiple jumps like iron fist, that works in tandem with the new spider sense passive below
- Change spider sense passive to where it will alert you when enemies put their cross hair on you. This could pair with the new triple jump so that jumps while the spider sense indicator is on your head will make you completely dodge any attack if timed correctly similar to star lords dodge, the difference being that Spider-Man has to do it while the spider sense passive is active (and for balancing it can refresh every so often instead of always being on) overall I feel this is a good way to add to his survivability In a “skilled” way without just giving him a healing ability, damage reduction, flat health increase etc. and it fits the character very well

there is a much simpler version to get lunas and mantis especially because they get over healed constantly you need to be doing 379 damage to actually kill them, you use get over here in to a normal punch cancel with sticki then you uppercut cancel into a downsmash this combo works best for healers plus winter soldier
For the moment, it's the best tutorial on Spidey I have seen, but I have a request: do you know a combo that is efficient against JEFF? I struggle so much to kill him; he can go into his bubble to heal and also escape with his movement ability.
Idk abt his bubbles but if he swims away after u do some damage if u web cluster him then get ober here and upper cut u should kill him but he has to have some damage alr done to him

Don't ever do it to tanks, primarily aim it at healers and DPS's. Luna Snow can sometimes be tricky to get with it though.
Ty I was doing the bread and butter with swing cancel before jump, also didn't know you can do a swing cancel for a faster cluster. Btw... I don't know how I do this but occasionally I'm sneaking in a regular melee with my overhead melee just as fast as your combo with the cluster if not faster. I've only recreated it a couple of times could be something to look into.
my friend mentioned this to me too but I cannot find a consistent way to replicate it yet. Definitely something worth testing though!
Why when i swing it does one first swing and then the second it just pulls me forward without swinging ? I turned off auto swinging already and hold to swing. And i aim above head.

Is the swing cancel supposed to take a swing charge? Since it seems bad to sacrifice the movement if there's other combo's out there. Maybe I'm doing it wrong but it seems to take a charge every time, no matter how fast I release shift
it doesn't always, depending on how close the wall is to you from what I've noticed. If you can sacrifice a swing and still get out then I would recommend using it!

nope its still working for me! Just tested before writing this, not sure why its not working for you. If the web does attach to a wall it will use up a charge but it doesn't need to attach in order to be canceled by your cluster

you can oneshot luna with a slower but easier combo: Cluster, get over here, uppercut, primary cancel into cluster.
My problem with overhead attack is this is taking your webs and if you want to do the combo you need to have all 3 of them to at least have one left to escape
Even with the animation cancel for the 275 you should still be left with 2 and if you swung in still have 1 left you're canceling it before it hits anything so it doesn't take the cool down but for the overhead yeah it does
yeah thats the price to pay for getting a one shot out unfortunately. You gotta make sure you're flying in with 2 webs so by the time your combo is over, the 3rd web recharges. The quick combo I showed doesn't use a web charge but it is extremely hard to pull off in game

trust me I have days where I cannot hit anything either. Best way to practice is to just play more games. I've got A LOT of hours in this game haha

What do you do in heavy anti dive comps like Namor, peni, mantis, and luna? I find it really hard to play spidey against a combination of these characters, especially namor and peni. Is spidey just unplayable here, or is there counterplay? I try using the zip to dodge then get over here, but he cant really oneshot any of those heroes either, so going all in like that doesn't really work either.
if Namor doesn't have the Luna teamup, you can treat him like you would treat Hela. With the Luna team up its really tough to play Spidey so you'd prob need to play either as a distraction or try play for hooks. If you're taking the entire attention of a super impactful hero like Namor / Hela / Hawkeye, then its always worth it, even if ur not getting kills as you're enabling ur team to pop off. Make sure you actually are makign them ALWAYS look at you, not just sometimes, and that you're not dying or giving ult charge!
Peni is a weird one as you can't do anything about her nests. You can play to hook her into your team as she's got no way of blocking your pull and you can also interrupt her swing with your uppercut. A lot of the time though if Peni is just destroying my team, I tend to swap to Psylocke so I can deal with her nest myself as just pulling in the Peni might not be enough value for your team

If you look in the settings you’ll see two different places that you can set keybinds for Get Over Here. One of them is specifically to pull towards you, whether there’s a tracer on them or not! I explain it in my beginner guide too 😁

I usually love animation canceling and things of this nature, I do that a lot in Deadlock for example, but in this game I feel Spiderman needs a buff on his damage, just a little bit, because doing all of this insane stuff consistently will not be possible for 90% of the playerbase and he needs to be viable at all ranks.
You have to execute all of this perfectly and one mistake you are gone. Considering CC and the meta right now, it's just very pointless to me.
I can just go black panther and genji all over them with less skill required and do AoE damage.
he is a 5 star character after all. I don't agree he should be viable at ALL ranks but I do still think he needs a buff to not just be a complete throw pick in low elo. In low elo tho, people aren't quick with their ability usage or aim and you can get away with a lot more than you can in high elo.

@@Tephrite I don't mean any offence but you have to understand that a high skilled player's opinion of a VERY famous marvel character not being viable at all ranks is just just pure error.
He should definitely be viable at all ranks, because I am platinum and the game states I am better than 90% of the population.
He has to be good in low elo as well. Yes, the enemies are worse, but the spidey is worse too, and you get no heals in low elo, so he should be able to solo kill people WITHOUT 2 animation cancels, that is just ridiculous.

it only works if ur 4m or closer to the target for both of the combos. As I state in the vid, especially with the 275hp combo, it requires you to be in their face for too long which would make u really easy to punish.
To make it work vs good players you need to perfectly charge the overhead slam whilst you're swinging/bhopping in AND also perfectly time the GOH cancel with the uppercut before the tracer disappears. There's way too many timing requirements and caveats for it to be a consistent combo. I thought I'd mention it because it is quick but EXTREMELY hard to pull off in an actual game
