I love this song. I played it for my grandmother when she was recently on hospice. She hadn’t been awake for some time, but she stirred at hearing the music. She seemed moved by it (in a good way). She passed later that night after playing this song. I’m glad I could share it with her.
You rarely hear such perfection in a live recording. These women are brilliant natural musicians. I've heard the album version and I would say this is better. Kudos to the fiddler, too. Thank you CBC for the upload. Music like this can help heal the world.
I recently drove home from Yellowstone through the backcountry of Idaho and Oregon listening to your songs. Seeing the beauty of the land and hearing the wonderful music gave me a deep sense of joy. Life is wonderful. Thank you, ladies, for your gift.

So I quickly started recording it to get the lyrics and look it up later. After listening to the recording a good dozen times I finally got enough of the lyrics and found it! I LOVE THIS SONG! Such beautiful, uncanny simplicity. They are all great, but it is wonderful to hear the gorgeous focus of the bass player on this tune. And nothing beats a viola for reaching deep into the heart of the music.

Harmonies and the banjo have become a fairly hot sound the past few years with bands like Of Monsters and Men, Fleet Foxes, The Lumineers and Elliot Brood. All of those love harmonies and banjos. If you're looking for the same thing with females singing the Begood Tanyas are a safe bet. Others on here may have better suggestions- Happy hunting! :)
I love them SOOO much! Saw them in Santa Barbar recently and I am getting married next month and my niece said she would sing a song….I so wish they had a song appropriate for my walk down the isle. If your listening ladies???? xoxoxox
