Hi Steve! I can’t figure out how to comment on your livestream feed so I’m resorting to this video. I’m not in the mood to join Discord or rejoin Twitter, so I’m sorry. In regard to the mass shooting at the splash pad in Rochester Hills, MI, your kyron or banner that scrolled along the bottom of your screen read, “one victim WAS an 8-year-old boy”. YIKES!!! When I read that, my heart immediately broke because of the word WAS. I was so relieved to watch another channel to learn the particular victim to which that statement referred is still alive. Please, if a victim is not dead, please use the word IS, so the statement reads, “one victim IS an 8-year-old boy”. After all, the shooting may be in the past, but the little boy IS STILL a victim. It may not be a significant difference to you, but to those of us who notice the tense of a verb when reading, it is VERY important. Thanks for reading this constructive request, it is not a criticism. BTW: being from Rochester Hills myself, I can tell you the street name Dequindre is pronounced locally like this: duh-kwin-der. Weird, right? Michiganders are not known for thinking outside the linguistic box, so we tend to pronounce most foreign-based words like they’re just weird spellings of our own Michigan-style English. I know…we’re a bit outdated and sometimes tacky, but we’re really nice as a whole (except the idiots (& their parents) who carry out mass shootings). Aside from a couple bad apples, the rest of us in this bushel we call Michigan are very decent, nice, compassionate, law-abiding people. And we love your channel and philosophy about news coverage.
