Great stuff. Always try to put your opponent on the defensive. Even, if they manage to hit it back to you, you still will get a very favorable return shot.
I love your tutorials! I am not from UK and understand everything you say! The construction of your coaching videos is just perfect! I'd love to met you and train w/ you someday ;)
In this video, Daniel is mainly doing topspin attacks. So the easiest way to return these is with a block. Here's a video: ruclips.net/video/SBQBww5Oml0/видео.html
Sameer samadi I'm sure Tom will have a video on counter loops coming in the future, however this video was purely focusing on the initial attack to varying places, it wasn't focusing on the ability to react to that variation. Hope that helped! From "that boy"
Thank u Daniel, I just felt that Tom at times "pretended" not being able to return ur shots (to show us how variation was effective making it difficult to react). and now that I know ur name, i'll not call u "the boy" lol. Sorry
Ok sorry you are right. But your shakehand grip is not good. When you are playing your index finger is in bad position. Look at Timo Bolls shakehand. You are Also doing many flat hits not topspins
I think you're really missing the point of the video. I'm not trying to topspin. I'm just there to block Daniel's attack. The entire point of the video is about improving the placement of your attacks. Look at what my partner Daniel is doing - not at me. And yes, my finger on my grip sometimes goes a bit too high. Bad habit - but it doesn't inhibit me too much.
Ok, last thing. I was watching your video about reverse pendulum serve and pendulum serve. You are standing in front of the table. In this serves you must stand next to the table. Look at ma long or Timo Boll serving this serves. They rotate their body but they are doing this after serve not during serve
Why 'must' you do this? Some player do it. Others do not. There is a HUGE range of service techniques you can use. Just because a pro player does it in one way, doesn't mean you have to do it too. Find a style which works for you.
Thanks a lot Tom... My game has improved a lot because of your videos
your couching are good. I am learning so many things from you, and my performance and confidence getting better.
Thanks, Tom, always, clear and helpful tips!
Like your way of explaining how things work , simple, clear and to the point.
I have watched all your videos, now i should buy a racket and start playing. Theory complete 50% task completed.
Thanks for watching! Tips on buying a bat here...www.tabletenniscoach.me.uk/tips-on-buying-a-new-table-tennis-bat/
great advice. icing on the cake would have been a few game drill ideas to practice/reinforce this
Those were very good hints! I'll try and practice them. Thank you very much!
Thanks a lot for a thoughtful explanation :-)

Have you got something for defenders, serve returns, tactics, etc. Nice video, by the way
Thanks and I will be doing some videos for defensive play in the future.
Tom Lodziak Great, because, most tutorials are for attackers
Very good
Si pudieras explicarlo en español, seria bacan !!!
It could have been much better if u make it more "real" by u attacking and let us see what that boy could do to ur shots

So beautiful like always
4:28
The guy that you play has really nice technique
Surname Lodziak, and there is no Polish translation. Pity...
Nie mogę przetłumaczyć na język polski
You are holding bat very bad
Also you dont know what is footwork 4:55
Maybe you should watch the video again and listen properly this time. At 4:55 I was demonstrating what can happen if a player doesn't move.

The young lad is playing some good shots! I wonder who his coach is? ;)
