I have recently fell in love with the Zman Products. Especially the 5" scented Jerk shadz paired up with the texas eye for them Flounder. As long as i dont get snagged i can fish with one lure all day if i wanted too. I like the looks of the GOAT and ill be giving it a try as well! Keep it up Capt.
CA, you're talkin my language. Love flounder fishin in the fall, my favorite inshore species this time of year. Will definitely have to try the Goat. Tight lines and screaming drags!
Some really good flounder tips on this one. Sometimes it can be tricky knowing if it's a flounder or grass. Fresh whole broiled flounder is one of my faves. Thanks again for the solid advice
I caught a cuda and yellow jack trolling with the Goat in the keys the other day, I was just using it like a topwater bait lol Shrimp Pro Cure was on it!
I will drop a giant freebie of knowledge on all of you. Large curly-tail jigs on small crappie spinner blades.....roll smooth and slow, just enough for the blades to spin and keep the lure moving. DEADLY.
Definitely will give the Zman GOAT a shot with the inline setup! We still have a lot of bait here in Charleston and it’s occasionally hard to get target fish to notice your bait without going so far as spooking them away. Much appreciate ya sir! Thank you!
Awesome video the flounder bite has been good this year around Dauphin island Alabama plus we are catching a lot of small flounder to so that means their thriving and that's a good thang
I remember the days fishing on the East End of Long Island. Flounder was flounder caught in the spring and winter and fluke is what we called them but call flounder here. Flounder don't have teeth. We used to call the big ones doormats and they were 10 or 11 lb consistently. I'm anxious to try them in the flats of Tampa Bay
Ive been using the GOAT and the baby GOAT rigged vertically like that for about a year now, and its been a killer. And as a topwater like for bass and the reds have tore it up
I've found after 60+ years of Flounder fishing in dirty, muddy water, that slowly hopping a white or chartreuse paddle tail, or curly-tail, rigged on a 1/4oz red jig heads, or spinner bait hook, is money.
Just caught a 15.5 in flounder on a 4in diezel minnow on the Texas eye jig head. Wish it wasn’t just a random catch. I don’t quite understand how to/where to target them.

Great advice! Z-man has tons of products that are great for flounder!
Cool tip on hook set and flounder holding the bait and not getting hooked.

Amen
Also over in the dauphin island region. I have also had a really really good flounder year
Great video, I used the Z-man goat and spinnerbait in Galveston last month and caught some nice flounder in the main channel.
👏🏼
I bet rigged on a ned rig would mimic a blue crab well and hard to resist to a finicky red🔥🔥
Please come to Destin Fort Walton Beach area and show us how to fish these flats around Eglin AFB.

@@flatsclasscharters definitely will be. Thanks Capt!
whereever bayous or cuts drain, sand flats, oyster beds
😂 Eddie Cabler...you mean fish cage guy?
Back decades ago I learned that flounder liked bull minnows rather than shrimp. I guess that this is just the same thing in artificial baits.
Absolutely 💯
I use bacon 🎣👍
