The only reason Paul appealed to Caesar was not only to bring awareness and revelation to Caesar, but to the remainder of the known world. The Roman courts were the loud-hailer, while Caesar (possibly unbeknownst to himself), was the vehicle.

Nice presentation. Combining local archeological digs with the accounts. I was seeking early on as an interfaith seeker, and see that Jesus´ legacy requires a bigger vision than most doctrines hold today. I am an interfaith Christian, and recognize that Jesus´ legacy led to the post-monastic Universities with the pivotal monk Thomas Aquinas, who was not merely Catholic, but a Roman Christian before Luther´s legacy. The Scientific Revolution and Enlightenment that followed the Reformation are not random, nor merely secular materialism, but do need to be re-spiritualized. And their greatest guide is Jesus´ loving integrity and social responsibility, not wealth. And so I advocate Unitarian Universalist interfaith that recognizes Jesus Christ, and allows Christians to grasp the meaning of Jesus´ legacy more clearly.

What shall we say of Paul's citizenship though. Was it in Heaven or in Rome? Or Paul simply held Ceasar to his own laws?
You are a citizen of some country arent you?
