Thank you for this. Your video was more helpful than the instructions that came with it. Mine won't play correctly after some misaligned gears and a few pieces of wood broke but all in all its a pretty piece for the bookshelf.
Your video was very well done except for, I believe, one omission. At 12:15 you should have installed E7 pins into the six C1 slots which protrude through A8. See the first drawing in step 8 of the instructions (E7 x 6). This locks the bottom assembly to the top. Without this step one could not keep the box assembled if it is lifted from the top of the box. I don't know how yours worked without this step unless you went back to correct it off camera. Nevertheless, very nice presentation and photography. Thank you for posting this.
when u press down the center to close it, how do u make it stay closed? I kept pressing down and twisted it like the instructions told me to but it keeps springing back up.
Aw man, this project is super frustrating! Having a hard time getting the gears to work, but I’ll figure it out, I don’t think I’ll end up buying this brand again tho.
No matter how much you lubricate the gears, the gears won't work. The best I did to get all 6 gears working, was to cut more than half of each pinion. I did and succeeded.
Isn't it better to just get all the pieces for each section rather than the whole lot, to me that would be confusing. I just built the Magic Cello and did it with the illustrations as the writing was in Chinese.
LOL this must have been severely edited. You have to do a lot of modification to the parts to get them to fit right mostly around the main drive meeting up with the little gears.
Spent hours today putting all the side panels together and in place only to have the gears not work. Its aligned alright as far as I can see but it just gets stuck and wont work. I am so worried about it breaking. I read through some of the comments and maybe I didnt wax the middle wheels enough. Guess I will take them out tomorrow and see if that helps. I really want this to work properly, I've always wanted a music box just like this one.
@@ElisabethPailloux hi ^^ so I managed to get around that problem by gluing the wooden pillars from the lower part of the music box into the holes so they don't constantly move and fall out (wasn't able to glue the plastic ring to the sides so I went for the pillars). Then I turned the thing upside down and it was quite easy to finally put the two parts together.
I love this kind of stuff and thank you for making this video! I wonder if there is a thing like the game of throne opening (all the moving mechanics of castles)? If you know, please let me know. I am dying to know :)
Epic, I may buy one now as a christmas project

you are just dumb👊😒🙄
This will be my one and only RoboTime project! NEVER AGAIN!!
Thank you for your help. I cant get the gears to mesh on the panels that have rotating circles on them. I will watch this again.

Thank you so much, I got stuck and this really helped

I’m having the same problem. How did you cut it?
How did you get the gears to actually line up and work? Mine won’t rotate when all the panels around it are in place
Did you got it to work?
I have the same issue. At least it looks pretty and I refuse to take it apart to fix it lol
usually it's a snug fit, wax helps a lot
Too much fiction, mine got stuck too

more on re-takes 😅
How did you modify it please? I’m very stuck on that part. Can’t get it to work
the central shaft flips to the side and stops working. I don't know why it happens, any ideas?
Hello, I also just bought it and the same problem happens to me, could you solve it in any way?
Hi. We have some problem, that music box actually is not working. Its look like is stuck, but we didn't see anything to do
Does anyone know if one could change the song of the musicbox , as in .. replacing the rotating cilinder ?

For everyone experiencing the same problem, I found out why. One of the sidewalls is wrongly cut, so the wheel is about 1mm to low and it gets stuck.
@@lorenznolfi368 I noticed this too! I thought I put it together wrong.
Hi. Mine did't come with the wax. Do you know which brand should I use?
I just used normal candle wax.
11:33 how is the plastic ring not constantly falling out? It sits way too loose for me :/
hello I have the same problem as you

I will make more. Real life work just got in the way :)
@@thequietbuilder714 appreciate it ❤
Which rotating plate are you using?
rotating plate came with the package
This thing is the worst thing I've ever done, it's impossible to get it to actually be functional
it is difficult, sand paper helps, plus wax. It took me a lot of tries before I get it to work properly
Wes ra raonk egoro Israel ning uripku 😅
