You can't take this 5 stars so seriously, nothing is perfect to get 5 stars, not even the Roller Coaster set got this score.... The guy is definitely biased
@@ghoti41628 There are certain things we know: 1- For ages, Lego didn't see a problem in making cars that didn't have steering. You can see that with the VW van, Ferrari, Mini, Beetle, etc. They don't have steering, and they still sell in enormous quantities. So there is no motivation for Lego to include it. 2- The licensing companies need to sign off on the model before it's released. If Ferrari, VW or whoever else doesn't agree with how it looks or functions, it doesn't get made. I just think someone at Ford was thoroughly unimpressed by a car model without steering, and required it to be included. Maybe it all started with the rims. They're pretty iconic for this car. And Lego has been making inserts to make their regular rims look like specific rims for some time now. Perhaps somebody finally did the math, and figured that if they were going to make a new part anyway, it might as well be functional. This is all speculation, of course. But I'm pretty sure the licensing company (Ford in this case) required them to do it this way.
Mahj Ahh thanks for the detailed answer, that makes sense to me. I am inclined to agree with your assumption. I’m not too familiar with how the introduction of new parts is handled internally by TLG but Jamie Berard did mention in a recent interview on another channel that they have to push for new parts and molds to be produced first, ahead of a concept model they plan to design later. Perhaps they’ve wanted the new rim design for quite some time being AFOLs themselves, which Sariel mentioned will be super useful. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing the new pieces, especially the rims, being utilized more in future sets as well as some more of Mike’s magic, who clearly demonstrates time and time again just how skilled he is at design.
Mahj I suspect you are right on ford asking Lego to include steering in the model as after all the GT3RS had rear wheel stear similar to the real thing at one point in production but Porsche vetoed it and as a result the finished model doesn't have the rear steering
They have made Muscles of America. They have made the Supercars of Europe. But still, they haven't made any tuned cars from Japan. Edit: at least they've released the Nissan Nismo GT-R

The roller coaster looks pretty crude at places, and while the functionality is great, a Lego roller coaster is inherently a pretty bad idea, because the ride will be incredibly short. If you actually look at the categories, there's no reason this set wouldn't get 5 stars in all of them.
I love this so much. I’m 17 and probably haven’t bought (been gifted) a set in more than five years. (I still build occasionally though and am pretty good if I do say so myself). I think I will need to buy this though. It encompasses everything I’ve ever loved about LEGO, which you described better than I ever could, and all in a model of one of my favorite cars in the world! Thanks so much Sariel!
Having just built the Creator Expert Aston Martin DB5 I am amazed by how this car lived up to my expectations. I love the gadgets in the DB5 but the simple features like steering and the hydraulics is just amazing you just got to love the simplicity.
As a Lego enthusiast and a classic car guy...this set will be bought as soon as it comes out. Then again I've built quite a few of the recent Creator Expert level vehicles. It's a nice line actually and the details are getting better, such as this example. Thanks for the look Sariel!
Probably the most beautiful creator car I’ve ever seen, LEGO have really stepped up their game with this, can’t wait for it to be released I am so buying this!
The fact that it is a "challenging build" is definitely a Pro for me. Many of the modern Lego instructions, especially with Technic models, have become much to easy, sometimes even dull.
I always wait until you show the set before I think again about buying. You'll never lie about your opinion, and sometimes it can be hard to find a channel that does that. Iv'e been watching from a distance for quite some time, but I finally decided, I really like this channel, so I subscribed.
MINE Edit: Usually I consider Sariel reviews to evaluate a purchase. Ironically I'm so sure about this I'm not even whatching the video in order not to spoil my experience. Mustang HYPE! I'll drop a like nonetheless :)

It's either this engine or the engine from the Ferrari F40 set. But it's amazing that they managed to squeeze the steering underneath that incredibly detailed engine.

Set to be released in March, eh? This might be a late birthday present for me, because I seriously want this! Out of the now five Creator Expert cars, this is probably the best, hands down. If this is where future models are going, then I am going to be excited for that. This practicality is perfect in terms of proportions, but I have to agree about the scaling; the Mini Cooper does look large when you line it up with this and the Ferrari F40. But I guess the set designers want to put in as much detail as possible. That’s just a guess, so I could be wrong. I had no idea this was coming, but this makes me want to own one when it’s available to purchase. It should be a fun build with the combination of standard and Technic pieces.

And rims with offset? Great, make more of them!
Yesssss, give us more wheels with a correct pivot point Lego, yessss
Oh yes, they are awsome to work with!
Wait, really???? I'm gonna have to skip to that part in the video

Thumbs up to the headstrong Ford exec who forced Lego to include steering. It was about goddamn time.

This is one good reason I won't stop loving Lego.
The seats look so good and realistic
very nice model...
that empty trunk screams for RC😂
That would be nice considering the space in the trunk!
You could put the receiver in that gap of the hood
Wow. 5 stars across the board = Mind Blown.
That actually looks really good and the steering adds lots of points
I am so tempted to get this.
this is my favourite mustang . this year this colour the stripes the wheels its perfect. except for the shifter that should be manual
WOW. MUSCLES. FINALLY. PLS, DO. THEM. ALL.

Great car design, I wish I can see a hypercar in the future.
Could it be? A set where Lego actually thought about what they are doing?!?

The best creator car for me ! Excellent video
Arguably one of the best Creator vehicles
Our lady of blessed acceleration! Dream came true!
Yea Imma add this to my wishlist real quick... I wanted a Mustang set for so long and this makes me SO EXCITED :D
