But I want to actually ask something. If it is cut partial, wouldnt it still have a partial effect? And even if is 1/5th wouldn't it still show the werewolf? Also love the riddles.
The bonus riddle is easy. We know that there is at least 1 werewolf, and when asked, all of the people said that there is at least 1 human, including that one werewolf. If that one werewolf lied about there being at least one human, that would mean that there are no humans at all. Meaning that all of the people there are werewolves with green eyes that responded Ozo.
Easy peasy. Step 1: Give the antidote to the carpenter because he looks like a werewolf. Step 2: Cook the goat and serve him to your guests. The antidote in the goat will cure the others if they were werewolves. Ensure that you make and serve a goat stock so that you don't lose any antidotey goodness. Step 3: Figure out why you have a laser cutter in an era where people dress like that.
Man, imagine the detective's face when he goes to that village, spends the entire day questioning every inhabitant only to realize that every single one of them is a werewolf ready to kill him.
But the fact that they all let themselves be questioned and didn't kill him argues that they're non-violent, which then begs the question why we have any right to turn 'our' werewolf back in the first place! If he's causing trouble, get him to move into the werewolf village where he'll fit in better, problem solved. Unless, of course, he asks to be turned back. Which, since he's a werewolf and always lies, means he'll be saying "NO, I don't want to be cured!"

He needs to be stopped peruod. 2 the village of werewolves is not peaceful and are indeed violent on full moons; or else how did the carpenter get infected in the first place? It isn't like the flu. you could make it simpler, the end clearly says "you know there is at least one werewolf in the village" and "all werewolves tell lies" and "at least one is human" from all you can piece it together If all said "theres at least on human" and theres at least one werewolf you know that it could not have said the truth therefore no one is human.

There’s a good chance that before and after transformation the body is indistinguishable from a human’s, especially since the antidote didn’t kick in until the carpenter had already started transforming, so the allergy might not be triggered until it’s too late.
I actually had to make those shapes when sewing a quilt. I had calculated the area of fabric needed for the back, but it wasn’t wide enough to cover it, or long enough to cut into two rectangles and sew them together. The only symmetrical solution was four right triangles and a square!

it could also be deduced in another direction: if at least one of them is human, all the werewolves are eventually telling the truth since that is how the situation actually is. therefore, there must be no human in that village.

Ssme, I don't understand any they come up with random situations for each puzzle that don't have nothing to do with the actual puzzle. If you have five suspects in the puzzle, you better be figuring out who is the culprit

I agree, or any number between 1 and 99 humans have trick the rest of the village into believing that they are werewolves, since as fair as the werewolf (or werewolves) know, every 'human' is a werewolf, so when they say "there is at least one human" the werewolf believes it to be a lie

If we are only are allowed to use the machine once, then simply insert all possible cuts into the machine! Afterwards you can still arrange the pieces as you want, as you for sure know that you cannot make anything wrong if you make all cuts that are possible! ^^

As a matter of fact, if it's possible to divide it in perfect size and we can assume that you have a balance at your disposal ( not against the rules, as you can have paper and scissors) you should always cut in the most pieces, ( every bigger form can be rebuilt with the smaller pieces). And after it you test with the pieces the right amount of weight. That as long as you don't have a limit of cuttings

I think I figured it out; the werewolves always lie, and everyone in the town claims that at least one of them is human. If a werewolf says so as well, that means everyone is a werewolf.
There are two possible answers to the bonus riddle: either everyone in the village is a werewolf or everyone in that village is human (because werewolves always lie, meaning that the carpenter sent you on a wild wolf chase)

The bonus riddle technically has 2 solutions: 1. They are all werewolves. If all of them said the same thing, then they must all be either telling the truth or all lying*. There is at least 1 werewolf, who must be lying, therefore they are all lying. *In reality, this can only be assumed if some specific global properties for truth, knowledge, and lying are assumed. A hand-wavy definition of knowledge must also be used. 2. There is not enough information. This question is ambiguous. There can be any number of humans/werewolves within the population, or no werewolves all humans, or no werewolves no humans. We do not know if werewolves have any way to tell whether someone else is a human or a werewolf. We can reasonably assume that most humans have no way to tell whether someone else is a human or a werewolf, though this is not guaranteed as our detective somehow managed to narrow the list to only 5 people in the first riddle, though since we do not know how they did it (perhaps they just waited for everyone else to be killed), we can not be sure whether they know a valid method. Taking this into account, if a human said, "at least one of us is a human", they must be talking about themselves, because they don't know about anyone else. If a werewolf said, "at least one of us is a human", it is not clear whether this counts as truth or lie. The only thing we know that they know is that they are a werewolf**. My point is that the scenario contradicts itself if you do anything other than a surface level analysis of it.
What does "there is" mean then? Do we assume that there really "is" a werewolf out there? Might it just be a shadow projected on a wall? Interesting, but I disagree. If "werewolves always lies", I assume they never tell something that MIGHT be true (because of their lack of knowledge). So were they not sure about the total lack of humans in the village, they would not state the definite lie that "there IS at least one human". They would lie something different, that they can be sure about. (Like "there are NO werewolves here")
The geometric solution is cool, I like this riddle. Practical solution? Dissolve the whole square into a volume of liquid divisible by five (25ml, say), then slip a fifth into each dinner. Bahwham!

Simple doesn't say the LEAST ammount of cuts. Just do all possibilities at once. I think finding some of the best ways to organise the shapes would be a good riddle (Like, how do you make a star? can you make all possible squares (can you make 1,2,3,4 and so on?))
This is more of a cube cutting riddle than a werewolf riddle. I'm kind of disappointed. I was hoping for a detective riddle, "can you figure out who the werewolf is?" Kind of deal. But this is just...cut up a square into 5 equal pieces...the window dressing is relevant.

When I heard the squares had to be cut I instantly thought that its not possible since in order for it to be cut you'd have to sacrifice small amounts of it even thought its a laser

For the bonus riddle, they’re all werewolves. Since they all gave the same answer they must all be lying or all be telling the truth. Since we know that at least one of is a werewolf, they then must all be lying to have the same story and thus all be werewolves.
I agree, or any number between 1 and 99 humans have trick the rest of the village into believing that they are werewolves, since as fair as the werewolf (or werewolves) know, every 'human' is a werewolf, so when they say "there is at least one human" the werewolf believes it to be a lie

For the bonus riddle: It looks like it wouldn’t actually matter what all the villagers agreed on. If they all said “There used to be a statue here,” that would still mean they’re all werewolves -as long as there’s at least one werewolf and all the villagers are telling the same story.

The bonus riddle technically has 2 solutions:
1. They are all werewolves.
If all of them said the same thing, then they must all be either telling the truth or all lying*. There is at least 1 werewolf, who must be lying, therefore they are all lying.
*In reality, this can only be assumed if some specific global properties for truth, knowledge, and lying are assumed. A hand-wavy definition of knowledge must also be used.
2. There is not enough information. This question is ambiguous. There can be any number of humans/werewolves within the population, or no werewolves all humans, or no werewolves no humans.
We do not know if werewolves have any way to tell whether someone else is a human or a werewolf. We can reasonably assume that most humans have no way to tell whether someone else is a human or a werewolf, though this is not guaranteed as our detective somehow managed to narrow the list to only 5 people in the first riddle, though since we do not know how they did it (perhaps they just waited for everyone else to be killed), we can not be sure whether they know a valid method.
Taking this into account, if a human said, "at least one of us is a human", they must be talking about themselves, because they don't know about anyone else.
If a werewolf said, "at least one of us is a human", it is not clear whether this counts as truth or lie. The only thing we know that they know is that they are a werewolf**. They know that the village contains at least 1 werewolf, but they do not know anything about how many humans are contained in the village. The statement is then a statement made without knowledge. The rules imply that such an ambiguity is impossible for either human or werewolf to make, thus we can even assume that a werewolf could not have made that statement, thus there are no werewolves.

Moral of the story, anytime you introduce nebulous concepts like knowledge or truth, your riddle becomes ambiguous, unless you mathematically define both.

If "werewolves always lies", I assume they never tell something that MIGHT be true (because of their lack of knowledge). So were they not sure about the total lack of humans in the village, they would not state the definite lie that "there IS at least one human". They would lie something different, that they can be sure about. (Like "there are NO werewolves here")
