Hoarding scents uh....definitely not weird lol! Soapers know 😁!! I've been eyeing this technique for a while now n thanks to this video, it's next. Absolutely amazing soap....you made that look easy.
Thank you so much! I appreciate your saying so - it's the first time (prob the last LOL) I had such success the first time trying a challenge! Good Luck!
This is the mold I use when I make a column mold. I kept saying don't touch it anymore, don't touch it! Then you stared spinning and I thought nooooo! Lol, I talk to RUclips soapers. I know you can't hear me, but you know that's just me. It turned out beautifully!. I just did one myself. I never enter soap challenge and should, lol! Jill Gross I like the feather one the best!
Thanks Jill! Your making me chuckle picturing you yelling at me to don't touch it 😂😂😂 - I love it! You should enter the challenge - but man I tell you... some of those women are ridiculously talented! I have to keep telling myself not to try to compete, because there is no way in the world I could win. But it is fun to try the new techniques and share in it all! I think my favorite was the butterfly🦋
@@WalnutCreekBathBoutique you're very welcome. I'm looking forward to starting this and hopefully mine are as beautiful as yours. I wanna make a business out of candles wax melts soaps and more
I really liked this video out of all the the column pour videos I have watched. I LOVED your excitement! I am about to try this technique, even though one of the artisans on RUclips seem to discourage me since I am not an experienced Soap-maker, but have made many cold processed soaps, and am ready to move forward. I am a hobbyist. Your soap was very interesting and artistically beautiful 🤩
Thank you so much for your sweet words! Don't let anyone discourage you from trying something! There is nothing in this technique that requires a ton of experience, well other than getting your soap trace just right LOL But you learn from fails, at least I do - so go for it and have fun and learn if it doesn't turn out just like you want. You will still have a wonderful product, right?! 🥰
Thanks, no I didn't win, but I really would never expect to LOL - those soapers are amazing! I was just happy to feel I accomplished the challenge with such success! (first time ever 😂)
I would think not, I find melt and pour very difficult to keep at a super fluid consistency long enough for something like this - but you might try it with a "take" on this type of pour...!
The bottle should’ve been cut down some pouring from the bottom instead of the top, this way it’ll be uniformed all the way around. The bottom part of the bottle has 5 outlets for the soap to drain from. Still pretty That inner cut is 🔥🌹🥰 You are sooo pretty‼️😘
When I see these videos, are you all using liquid oils only for these projects because I’m finding it very difficult to keep a fluid batter using hard mixed with liquid...???
This recipe contains olive oil, lard, coconut and shea butter - in that order. I've only ever used slow moving recipes from others - I may try to test and formulate my own so that I can share it!😊
Hi Kim! The bottle didn't "have" to be any certain way. I thought about turning it upside down for that reason but, honestly, I just didn't want to deal with cutting it and then trying to keep it in place - so I took a shortcut 😆
The Flaming Candle rocks!
right?!?! Love them!

i love that you barely mix with the stick blender, hand mix and WAIT for your perfect thickness. Brilliant!
That was many years in the making LOL - man I used to stick blend so so so too much 😂
Congrats on NAILING this challenge!
Thank you so much 😀

I tried your method of simply waiting and it worked perfectly! I’ve been soaping since 2003, so thank you!
I so glad it worked out for you! Not stick blending too much is probably the hardest lesson I learned in soapmaking! 😂

Blessings to you 🦋 Lauren
Thank you so much😊 and thank you for subscribing!!♥
Wondering would you use a smaller bottle next time?
I honestly haven't thought about it. I think stability would be my concern with using something smaller...thanks for the comment!
Beautiful can you do that also with melt and pour

@@WalnutCreekBathBoutique thank you! I used the same but I think I mix too much in the beginning. Your bars are absolutely gorgeous
@@agray7474 Thank you !!
I thought the bottle was supposed to be upside down( cut off the top half) and as you pour, the soap runs through the "grooves" on the bottom
Hi Kim! The bottle didn't "have" to be any certain way. I thought about turning it upside down for that reason but, honestly, I just didn't want to deal with cutting it and then trying to keep it in place - so I took a shortcut 😆
