I liked your tip about respawns! My biggest gripe with Zomboid is the player's life is too short. And that's largely due to the literal non-stop Zombies!

Agreed. And there are so many fun systems - like farming and building that are very hard to experience when you're constantly fighting. It's good to turn those constant spawns off while you're learning the game - you can always turn them on again later if you want to do a run that is a heavy combat focused experience.

I always thought about a zombie game set in a small town where the objective was to eliminate every zombie. Now that can be a reality!

For tips 4 I don't do this maybe literally the opposite I take all my shit on the road for a long time before settling down ( got me kill 1 or 2 time but hey its funny when you got a early car)

PZ is a game I have owned since Destructoid was a thing, I play it on and off (mostly off) glad to see content about it! Makes me want to play again!

I whould say running away is a good option. I agree with not acually running to mutch, but leaving the area. But running can be good if you know what you are doing(just make sure you dont trip and fall XD). You break line of sight quicker if you run. Also if you get some experience into the game and a feel for the stamina and you have a feel of how much you have you can know when to run and when to jog etc etc. Also take frequents breaks by resting to top of your stamina.... Leaving an area can be a pretty good idea because loot doesnt despawn, and you can always come back later. I think its better to leave and come back later then risking it and getting hurt or dying.
on other usefull tip is position your car in a way you can escape, so take time to turn your car around so you can hop in and drive away quickly. It can be very deadly if you first have to turn around your car or reverse to get out of a bad parked spot. Just take the few seconds to make sure you can always drive away quickly.... I whould also suggest to park your car somewhere away from where you are wanting to loot just so you can be a bit more stealthy, cars can make a lot of noise. It depends on what car and what muffler you use. For example a Dart with performence muffler is pretty quiet and you can drive right in. If you use a box van with a damaged old muffler you will make so much noise and its better to park it somewere more remote. Just make sure you know what you are doing and pay attention to what you are using and pick the right car or approach.
Some extra tip for cars is if you find a second or third car leave it somewhere and mark it. It can be VERY handy to have some extra cars just scattered around the map you know 100% are working and have some fuel. I have crashed my cars and then I had to walk home so long. its also a nice idea to have some backup kits. so those random purple tow bags I often use for this. Put a water bottle, bandage and some chips in it and leave it in the car. this way if you ever get stuck and are unable to get to your car (or it broke) you can always use the backup car with some very minor basic supplies. It has saved me a few times and its a great great tip
I whould also say turning respawns off is a personal opinion. I like having respawns on. I set them to 4,320 hours (180 ingame days roughly 6 months) this way the world wont become dull after a while. Yeah its nice to clear out an area and not having to worry about zombies but I also feel when I killed most zombies the game becomes bored and I have to leave. Also zombies can spawn with good stuff like lighters, sigarettes or weapons. Its rare but its also somewhat nice. I generally prefer to have respawns on 4,320 is just perfect for me.
7:00 if you open health menu, under ''Info'' and then you click ''Training Materials'' you get a menu where you can see every skillbook, magazine, vhs, cd and home vhs. You can very easy track down what you have read and used and what you are missing.

I disagree with telling people to turn off zombie respawns. Generally beginners probably won't feel the effects of them, and even then, it's a setting preference.
Aside from that, these are fairly good! I'm glad you didn't say what I hear a lot of people saying, which is "Don't use guns!" Guns are a very useful tool, especially if you've got the skill. Also points for mentioning the shotgun is loud (it's actually THE loudest gun in the game).
On the flip side, for anyone reading, if you're looking for the quietest gun, the M36 revolver is your friend. No magazine required, no jamming; just gotta worry about having the .38 Special to fire it, and its low ammo capacity.

I love the M36 - very cool, discrete gun. Makes me feel like a noir detective!

honestly use it as a secondary pistol, after the m9 runs out of loaded mags

@@nerdiguy2 true, although I do run mods that add gun cleaning kits and gun tool kits, making it much easier to repair firearms.

@@mobslayer9919 Ah, yeah. I run mods that make the game harder rather than easier, generally.

Hi, dunno you email but do you still play SWG? I have an SWG question, I thought this was possible. Is there a way to output my chat window to a text file? Specifically, I want to output my combat chat to a .txt file. Thanks.
