The Royal Jubilee Bells at the Victoria Embankment

The Royal Jubilee Bells headed up the Pageant with a band from the Ancient Society of College Youths, led by Dickon Love. A quarter peal was rung followed by touches of Cambridge, Bristol and Yorkshire. See bb.ringingworld... for details. First posted by rayoliteuk.

It must be hard to ring bells on a moving barge. Wouldn't the movement affect the bells' swing and make your timing go all wonky?

Yes, it was very difficult to ring them. We had some pretty expert bellringers who were able to cope with them and ring to the standard you can hear.
