This is nothing less than genius! I tried making my own paper about a month ago... way too much work for very little results. I will definitely be trying this technique. Love it!!!!!
I love this fun creative idea and will definitely give it a try. I used to make something similar but using diluted white glue between each layer instead of just water. I had no idea the napkins could fuse together with just water! I also made splashes of acrylic paint instead of using sprays. The end result is very stiff and solid, and a little shiny. Very different than yours, but fun to make too 😀 Thanks so much for sharing, Noit! I love your videos and your creativity ♡
I love your experiments and that you share them with us. These papers are wonderful. They do have the properties of handmade paper. Thank you so much for sharing.
they were just fused with water? incredible. i used to make paper from scraps, petals etc. and it was a long, labour intensive process. the results were beautiful but like you, i don't have the room now. thank you so much for sharing this xxx
I think the sprays I used helped. some tried and it didn't work for them so I suggested to spray it with water that have a little glue in them. I need to do another experiment and try to spray with water and starch
Gosh you’re so clever and innovative. I have a case (big one) full of napkins I used for adding bits to journal pages with Matt medium. But your great idea showed me how to utilise the whole napkin! I have many beautiful scenes on them already and you have given me ideas!! One could turn the napkins into a place Matt after laminating it! And how beautiful would the hike made papers be from some of the prettiest napkins out there! Thank you for sharing. You are Marvellous. 🌹🌹🌹
I know this is an old video but I just had to comment. This is a great idea! Now I can experiment with my stash of leftover napkin backing. You're the best 👍
Lovely way to epicycle what many throw out! I do not throw them out, but save them for recycling into my "homemade"paper. I usually tear the white margins of book pages off. I have been saving some and will soak them briefly in water, depending upon how long before they begin to break down. I have a weeping mulberry tree and a magnolia tree that end up creating lovely "skeletons" from the veins of the leaves. I want to try to embed some in the paper I make. I will let you know how that ends up when I have enough to do it. I have some old removable window screens that I will use to form the paper sheets on. That in itself should create the texture of the screens, and include rust from some very old screens.Wish me luck!
Hi Pamela, some tried this and it didn't work for them, so I suggest to add glue to the water. I need to do another experiment and try to spray with water and starch.
This is a great idea, Ms. Noit---I was running out of options for using up the white layers, tired of just stamping on them...LOL..thank you for sharing--awesome!
Gorgeous papers! I love it! And... I loved watched you splatter then streak the paper with that gold - amazing! It also looks marbled. A few years ago I purchased some hand painted papers like this from Blick’s online - it was gorgeous- it’s still in my large shipping box with my other watercolor papers. I’ll have to get them out for additional inspiration. Thanks for sharing your creativity with us and have a great day!
I’m definitely going to try this! I made faux homemade paper by cutting up spices etc between two layers of printer paper. I had seen it done on RUclips before.
Hello:, l happy I found you. I really enjoy spending time with you. You have thought me more than anyone . I am 77 and have lost some I hand coordination but I often get up and try what you just showed me. Thank you so much. You said on the video that we needed to use the bell thing and I see I don’t have it. I will get help to get it activated. Just Love you . Henrietta
Another great idea Noit! I especially like the captured leaves. I wonder if the string would stick with glue like the leaves. I have many layers that this would work on. Thank you!!
Beautiful work. Thank you for sharing. I was thinking, what if you ran the thread through glue before adding it to the paper? Looking forward to see what you come up with 👏👏👏😘
Hi, I've been looking for decorative paper which looks like fabric and I came across your channel. What a brilliant idea to transform the back layers of napkins into pieces of art. I only regret how many layers of napkins I wasted without using them for such a unique idea. What I can't understand, is how the finished result is not torn? What makes it so sturdy, even though you stretch it? Thanks a lot.
I do not use the word "gorgeous" very often, but these papers are truly gorgeous! Thank you for all your great videos!
It is beautiful love what you share with us thanks for your time with us

Great ideas ❣️ Maybe try diluted watered down glue in your spray water -that might help glue the paper and string together.
Thank you Abbie. I'll try that next time
Pure wool or silk yarn might fuse better to ... not sure if the string you used was natural fibre ...
Love this video ... what were the sprays please?
